The property is a smallish, 500 roughly square feet. But everything I needed was there. The views from the lanai are absolutely amazing. Super clean place, very close proximity to the beach boardwalk. I had a period of about three hours where somebody upstairs was Doing some minor construction, but that passed and it was peaceful again. I will definitely want to come back to this place.

It was my wife and 3 yr old son and myself and studio was perfect size. Everything went easy the entire week and we had no issues. Location is perfect as you're centrally located and amazing ocean view. The GM and his wife were very friendly and always made sure we were good when they seen us out. We would recommend to all.

Nice location with the water right outside. Great view of the sunset and sea life . We were able to snorkel in front of the property and had turtles visiting every day. We enjoyed our stay!

We found this unit to be exactly as advertised. It is clean and includes the necessities, as well as some nice extras like snorkel masks. Only cooking ingredients are salt/pepper, but there are plenty of restaurants and food trucks nearby. There’s a great beach within easy walking distance along the water. If you’re dead-set on having only the highest end finishes, you’ll need to spend a lot more, but unit 603 had all that we needed and a great view for a very fair price. Office staff were all very kind and helpful.

The location and view can not be beat. If there are just two of you traveling, this place is perfect. My top priority for finding a place to stay was the view, and there probably isn’t a better place for whale watching, sea turtles (I even saw a shark and a dolphin) from the balcony. We slept with the doors open and the only sound is listening to the waves crash. The full kitchen is great and there’s really everything you could need at the apartment or nearby. Tons of restaurants, grocery store, coffee shops, best snorkeling spots are all so close. We loved our stay at this charming apartment.

This condo really is right on the ocean. Our sixth floor balcony gave us great and constant views of the ocean and included nearly constant whale sightings. Convenient location. Lovely stay.

The property was right the beach. We loved sitting in the deck watching whales, sea turtles and sunsets. Loved using the beach chairs, snorkels and other beach supplies. Thank you for supplying. Unit was very clean and well stocked. The building and condo was dated and furniture was worn and needed updated and replaced.

When you book on line you take a chance on what to expect and the facility and room far exceeded our expectations. As soon as my Wife opened the door she felt right at home and the view from the Lanai was breathtaking. In the first few minutes we were watching Whales from from the chairs, WOW. What an amazing location! We loved being directly on the ocean, and could literally whale watch from bed we were so close! For being a Murphy bed, the bed was incredibly comfortable. There were a lot of thoughtful touches including binoculars, beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, and a cooler. We were walking distance to the beautiful paved beachfront boardwalk, Duke’s Beach House, the foodtruck park, and grocery store and other shops. Fabulous stay-we will be back!

It’s a small space but great for 2 people. I was there with my daughter. We were gone from sunrise to sunset doing outdoor activities. It was a perfect place to stay away from all the crowds at Kaanapali and Whalers village area. The view is like being a cruise ship. You can see fish and turtles in the clear water from 6 floors up. Can you tell the owners had a lot of work to make the place welcoming and clean and with a vacation vibe. Best deal on Maui for a group of 2.

This is a nicely appointed studio style condo with a fabulous view! Well appointed and situated a few doors down from Duke's restaurant which was a nice spot for cocktails or dinner, etc. Beach access is right out the front of building and the sounds of the ocean will bless you as you sit on the deck. Loved it!

Check-in process was smooth and seamless after a long day of flying. Instructions were excellent. Studio Immaculate. I have always been a terrible sleeper, but not this time…the sound of the ocean was therapeutic and mesmerizing. There were no neighbors to see outside of the lanai. I had the best sleep ever! You will not be disappointed if you should be so fortunate to stay in this beautiful condo. Mahalo!

Hands down the best rental property we have booked to date! Many mornings & nights spent on the lanai soaking up magical views of rainbows, sunsets, sea turtles, and whales. The property owners are professional, kind, and prompt to reply. The property itself is well maintained, clean, and provides all the basics needed that you can’t pack in your suitcase. It’s a perfect spot for a solo traveler or a couple looking for a relaxing get away. Not to mention there is A LOT within walking distance- beach, food truck park, restaurants, a grocery story that is open till 2:00 AM, and more. So grateful to have found this little gem and when we go back to HAWAII we will 100% be booking this property again! Thank you Christine and John for a truly incredible experience that has honestly left me and my husband speechless!

We had a really nice stay. This place has the best views for sunset. Our microwave did not work. We made due without but felt that communication should have been on owner to reach out to front desk instead of asking us to reach out for it to be fixed. Small inconvenience but the overall stay was amazing!

We loved staying here. Our hosts were very easy to communicate with and super helpful. The view is seriously amazing. The location is also great, super close to a grocery store and right on the beach. You can snorkel right in front of the rental and the reefs go out super far! We saw a turtle in the water from our balcony, that’s how clear it was. Highly recommend.

Updated condo with a nice view of the ocean in a nice location. We chose it based on the view of the ocean from the room and having a kitchen. The building is well-maintained and the service desk can help you book activities. A couple notes: if you're expecting a resort-style pool, this definitely isn't an option for you. The pool is well-maintained but not a pool you'd find at a hotel or nice resort. Also, the condo isn't oceanfront. You can't walk right out of the building to the beach. It's a 30-45 min. walk to get to the heart of the beach. If you're okay with driving to the beach, it's a 5 minute drive to Black Rock, and close to the northern beaches as well. That said, we still had a great time but next time, we're going to opt for beachfront.

We loved our stay in Christine's condo, just disappointed we didn't book a longer time. The location is perfect, so convenient to many close attractions, Dukes and the Ka'anapali Beach Club next door, both great for happy hours and pupus, and a good boardwalk to Black rock and beyond. The shopping centre over the road was very handy as was the local bus stop at the entry for trips to the Seahouse at Napili and the Barefoot Bar at Whalers.
Also an easy drive to Honolua Bay and Lahaina, in fact no where is very far away in Maui.
The condo was perfect for us, spotlessly clean and nicely appointed, the studio was spacious, the bed so comfortable and everything we needed was supplied.
The lanai was great for watching the passing boats, Moloki and the beautiful sunsets.
Christine's information she sent was very helpful and much appreciated, it made our planning very easy.
We highly recommend this condo.

My experience at Maui Kia was everything I was hoping it would be and more! The condo is gorgeous and the view is indescribable. It is centrally located so you can walk around downtown if you desire. It's seated in between two bigger resorts but feels very private at the same time. The beach is beautiful and right outside your front door! While sitting on the lanai I saw Dolphins, turtles, and rainbows! It was a dream to wake up to that view and hear the ocean every morning. Also, the staff were very accommodating and caring, as were the owners of the condo. I felt at home, didn't want to leave! I recommend Maui Kai 100%

We had an awesome time in Maui and loved staying at the Maui Kai #603. The view was amazing-watched the last whales of the season and swam with the turtles. Snorkeling near the condo was better than on the boat tour that we took. The staff was great and the other tenants were nice and friendly. We loved the coziness if the place. No huge, noisy crowds to deal with. Relaxing but we found tons of things to do on Maui. Sunrise at Haleakula with the bike ride down. Road to Hana/finishing at Mama's. Snorkeling near the Westin in Kaanapali, and Napili and Kapalua Bays. Explored Kihei, wailed, and Makena/Big Beach. Got a much needed dose of 10 straight days of sun and 83 degree weather. Being able to come home and kick back with a cold beer from the Maui Brewing Co. On the lanai and watch the sunset was priceless. Thank you for a GREAT vacation! We will most definitely recommend the Maui Kai to our friends!

We came on our honeymoon. We couldn't have asked for a better view or location. Turtle and Whale watching from the lanai ~ So amazing! We had such a wonderful time :) Ono Kau Kau has incredible local food - Yum!!

Direct ocean front comfortable home. We were lulled to sleep each night with the pounding surf! Star gazing from the lanai is amazing! The condo is on the sixth floor and is fully equipped with everything you will need for a fantastic Maui relaxing vacation. The view is spectacular so much so that it is hard to leave the unit. King size bed was very comfortable.
We love the Maui Kai and it always feels like coming home whenever we are blessed to be there!
Always a treat to see other returning guests. We have added 603 to our favorites list! Reserve it without hesitation and you will not be disappointed!

You will not be disappointed with this unit on your stay in Maui. We had a lot of fun and spent a lot of time on the lanai enjoying the great views. We hadn't planned on doing any laundry while we were there but it was really nice to have the laundry right outside our door and ended using it. The snorkeling right outside the condo was good too. We wish we were still there....

Our stay at Maui Kai 603 was as advertised- a well equipped and updated apartment, with a breathtaking view. After viewing many other suites in the same building, John and Christine's place, was by far the most fresh and modern. My girlfriend and I were quite pleased to find a well furnished apartment, that was comfortable and clean. John and Christine have thought about everything a traveler to Hawaii would need, from binoculars to watch whales to a beach umbrella to keep you cool on the beach. These little touches make a difference.
We could not believe how gorgeous the view is on the private lanai, where we spent many evenings drinking wine to a spectacular sunset. The ocean is literally pounding on the the buildings doorsteps, and can be quite soothing and make you feel like you are far from home.
Maui Kai is a lovely building, that is central to many activities, restaurants and sites. Snorkelling is literally right outside the door, great coffee and grocery stores are across the street and retail shopping is a close drive away.
John and Christine were very kind and quick to answer all our questions. Christine's lengthy list of suggestions were spot on and much appreciated.
I can't wait to go back to Maui next year and will definitely stay here again.

We spent three days and two nights at the Maui Kai #603 and wished it could have been much longer. What a beautiful unit John and Christine have put together! Not to mention in a building with such a storied background. It was a perfect fit for my wife Jill, our son Blake and me. We wanted to get away from the sameness of other chain type hotels and the like and that's just what we did. Jill still talks about how if felt like, "we were on a boat with water all around". That's how close the ocean seemed. You couldn't get a better view anywhere and the sunsets couldn't be beaten. We took dozens of photos of the breathtaking waters of the Pacific from our 6th floor lani. The Maui Kai staff was helpful and everything we needed was there and well maintained. And talk about location... we were just 8 minutes from Kapalua where my son and I played golf on a course that the pros play every year. Then a short drive in the other direction a day later and we snorkeled with a family of sea turtles at Black Rock Beach. What more could you ask for? We plan on coming back and making the Maui Kai our home away from home!
