My husband and I absolutely loved this property! Could not get any better views or closer to the water than the Maui Kai. We saw sea turtles every day and whales on multiple days we were there. The room was very clean and exactly as shown on the listing. Very quiet and peaceful environment. Great amenities including the pool, game room, access to laundry, full kitchen and very friendly staff. If we come back to Maui, we won’t look any further than the Maui Kai!

Our vacataion rental was the most beautiful place we have stayed. It was private, clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils, pots pans, plates, cups, cleaning supplies, silverware etc.. perfect. The view is 100 times as beautiful in person.

Stayed here with my wife and 2 kids for 7 days. The oceanfront views are spectacular and can't be beat! We were able to see sea turtles swimming around on our last day. The pool is small but quiet. Our daughter had the pool to herself one night. We met with some friends who stayed at the Westin Nanea which was a nice 7-10 minute walk along the boardwalk. Food trucks are nearby which is a plus. We loved the fully stocked kitchen. The brita water filter was a nice surprise. We used it to make our coffee every morning and for ice. One thing that did not make sense to us is that the sofa bed was placed in the lanai which made it unusable because 1.) the lanai is full of furniture which meant moving things around and 2.) the AC does not turn on if the doors leading to the lanai are closed due to a sensor. This means that whoever is sleeping in the lanai will have no AC. I can see how this would appeal to those who want the natural sound of the ocean while they sleep but for us it was too hot. If the sofa in the unit was also a sofa bed this would give maximum flexibility. One other minor annoyance is that the main bed was really squeaky on certain spots.

I have to admit, walking up at dark I was a little reluctant. Then opening up the front door I was wrong. The place was amazing!!! I am so thankful for an amazing place my family and I could enjoy!!! The beach chairs were amazing it was so clean and I slept on the lanai all week… so relaxing and peaceful

Wow. From the moment I entered the condo, I felt the ocean's breeze and the sound of waves crashing wipe away all my fatigue from traveling. As if the room said, "Aloha, welcome to Maui." You get an amazing panoramic view of the ocean from the lanai, with no buildings in sight. The pictures don't do justice. We saw perfect sunset from the room positioned right in between islands Lanai and Molokai. I can only imagine how much more wonderful this view is during the whale season! This unit is very cozy, attractively decorated and themed perfectly for a Hawaiian vibe. The bed and sofas are comfy. Having the beach and excellent snorkeling right below was awesome. The pool is very plain and small, especially when you see the pool next door. But it worked for a nice dip in the jacuzzi for us. Who cares about a pool when you have Kaanapali Beach calling your name behind you. The location of Maui Kai was also very convenient for us. Overall I was extremely happy with our stay here, and wanted to stay longer! I highly recommend this rental, and, please take good care of it for my next stay here.

The apartment was perfect. The checkin process was simple with just one form to fill out for parking. The apartment was clean and stocked with all the basics we needed like chairs, towels, coolers. The kitchen was perfect for making a small breakfast and packing a lunch before heading to the beach. The location next to all the resorts gave us the luxury of resort food, bars, and beaches at a third the price.

The condo was clean and comfortably furnished. The lanai is the best place to watch the sea creatures in the crystal clear water and catch the fresh sea breeze. Kitchen well stocked with everything we needed and then some. We appreciated the sturdy beach chairs, umbrella and towels. We liked the quite sea front location with amazing beaches just a walk or short drive away. We didn't use the pool/cabana/on site laundry, but appreciated that they were all there for our use. Communication was clear and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.

This place is not big but it is well arranged and equipped with all necessary furniture and appliances for a small family up to 2 children. We were so happy that the unit is right on the water with breathtaking ocean view. My daughter was sleeping on the pullout couch on the closed up balcony, enjoying the ocean sound every night. That is the best experience she'd ever had! She would not switch the spot with parent for even one night! :-)
The property management team for this unit is outstanding. They are very responsive and helpful. After we called for additional linen and quilt, they brought a new quilt and extra linen next day.
Only thing not perfect is that they only provide one day of shampoo, condition and shower gel which are just 3 small tubes. But super market is right cross the street to purchase your own, so it is not a big issue.
Overall, this unit is great vacation option for a small family or a couple. Prime location on the water close to stores, restaurants and beaches and very affordable pricing. We had a great time! Thank you!
Make sure to try the trucks' food right outside of the complex. Food are so delicious!

Hands down the best vacation rental we have ever booked. The apartment has been recently refurbished and is modern and clean, with a great aesthetic. The view from the Lanai was exceptional. I didn’t believe we would be able to see whales from the apartment,but we were as close to the water as you could get, and saw the whales every single time we looked out. It was a great location,close to the grocery store and food truck court for convenience, and the pool was nice too (note not an ocean facing pool, but you have your apartment for that!). Really easy to drive to Lahaina where the town has a great selection. Of restaurants. We had a wonderful meal in Dukes restaurant in a nearby hotel,less than a 10 minute walk.Management company was wonderful too, checkin in on us to confirm all was well,very thoughtful,and also helped us out when we left the key in the apartment (tip,just leave it in the key box on the front door when you go out!).everything was very well thought out,from the amenities (Inc laundry powder,dishwasher tablets etc) so all we needed to get was food!All in all,just the most wonderful place,we will certainly return here and use the same company, and will recommend all our friends to do the same.Mahalo!

The room was fine, but the real value of this condo is the amazing view! Nothing but sliding glass doors and a rail sit between you and the ocean, which is just a few feet away. We could whale watch in the morning, spot turtles while eating lunch, have a front row seat to amazing sunsets in the evening, and then fall asleep to the sound of waves lapping on the shore at night. The shoreline in front of the condo is rocky, so you can't swim here. But there's a really nice sandy beach practically next door. Walk 3-5 minutes along the rocky beach to where it transforms into sand, or try going the back way through the parking lot to the main beach access. We tried going both directions, and it seemed basically the same. It's a quick drive to Safeway for groceries, or to Lahaina for shopping, restaurants, etc. There's a food truck park within walking distance (serves dinner only... try the bbq chicken!) or there's a strip mall across the street for more choices close-by.

Amazing views. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The whales put on a show for us right out on the lanai. If you’re a swimming pool person this doesn’t have an ocean side pool. The pool is on the parking lot side of the building. We are not pool people. For us it was the view. It doesn’t get much better than this ocean front condo.

Everything was great until we checked out and went home. We received an email that said we did damage to the door which was fireproof. They also charged out credit card $3000 for this damage on our credit card……. By some higher power i took a video the first thing when we walked in and had time stamped dated posted on Facebook text to a friend proof that the damage was there before we arrived! If it wasn’t for that we would’ve been out $3000 because we had proof. I’m not sure if this is some kind of scam but the odd of me taking that video was all of Jesus himself! Whenever staying at any rental property take a video of the place right when you enter, take a picture of the door, front door, closet inside doors everywhere for proof. we did send the video to the owners and we did get our money back but if it wasn’t for that video we would’ve been screwed $3000
