Kapalua is a beautiful beach with nice sand and good swimming and snorkeling in a protected bay. In the past Kapalua bay has been cited as the best in the U.S. A forgivable exaggeration. A large condo is being constructed behind the beach (completion late 2008), hopefully with no adverse affects to this great beach. [The construction scene & noise will likely not diminish the beach experience for most people].
