This is the best location for direct beach access. The rental is right on the beach and the pool looks over the beach. The host was very friendly. The property is bigger than the pictures. It fit our family of 4 perfectly. The only issue we had was we received a complaint about the kids running around too early in the morning which is very noisy for the condo below us. We tried very hard to keep the noise down, but with the time change the kids are up so early that maybe not the best condo to stay in with small children if they are early risers.

There were six of us who stayed at this condo and we were very pleased with our stay here. The condo is very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We were so close to the beach and the patio area was so very nice to spend the mornings and evenings viewing the beach. The beds are comfy and was just enough room for all of us. The only complaint we have is the upstairs loft would have been better if there was a solid wall instead of open. Sound traveled up and down and sometimes it was hard to hear the TV downstairs when the TV upstairs was on. Other than that, it was a wonderful place to stay. We recommend it!

Kihei Sands is just like I remembered it from as far back as my first stay in 1978. While the property has withstood the tests of time, it has always been well updated, clean and neat, very well managed and a super friendly place with a spectacular view. It is very central on the island of Maui just far enough tawau from the airport and a great base for all of the day trips on Maui. We were there Aug 8th when Lahaina burned and there were many other fires nearby. Our hearts go out to the people of Maui! But, you should know that Kihei Sands was not affected directly and continues operations during recovery. I would go back anytime! There is so much of Maui that was not affected. Maui depends on tourism. Support Kihei Sands by keeping your booking or making one. You won’t be disappointed.

This place was a little gem. We had never travelled to Maui before and we were very happy with the location of the unit! It was a little further outside of the main Kihei area which was nice because it was quieter. We did drive into Kihei every day which was a super quick 10 minute drive. Because the complex was so small it was super easy to walk a few steps to the pool, beach and patio area. The unit was small, but perfect for what we needed. The beds were very comfy (minus the pull out sofa bed - which was to be expected, but worked fine for one child). The kitchen was stocked very well with almost everything we needed. Having a casserole dish would have been handy, but we made do without. There was no parking pass in the unit, however the front desk at the complex provided one for us the day after we checked in. Sugar beach was very nice... smaller waves for boogie boarding, but the kids really enjoyed it regardless. The complex has a handful of boogie boards for use as well as sand toys for the kids as well. It was so nice to have beach chairs and umbrellas in the unit - we used those daily. Overall this was an incredible vacation and we were very happy with this rental. Would definitely recommend it.

We had a great stay at Kihei Sands. Location was perfect. Nice and quiet complex steps from the beach. Our unit had beach chairs, umbrellas and even a cooler. Kitchen was very well stocked. We originally had booked for 6 adults, but one couple backed out. It would have been pretty tight with 6, but was perfect for 4. Complex is very clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay again!

The property is nice. We have a family of 5, and while it sleeps 6, it’s most comfortable with 4 or less. The property location is nice, but the condo doesn’t have a lot of beach real estate. Limited number of umbrellas, tables, and beach side relaxation space. We felt like we were competing with other families for a dinner table, bbq, or umbrella. This is not a criticism of this specific rental, but a recognition of the limitations of the property.

This condo rental was great and I'd stay here again. The unit itself was clean and had all the amenities we needed (and more) for our short 2-night stay. It's a short walk to the pool area and the beach, and is within walking distance to a small plaza with an ABC store, farmers market, bakery, and shave ice. We didn't have any issues with the neighbors and although the parking lot is small, the Uber/taxi drivers we used managed just fine.

Photos did not match the place. It’s a glorified Motel. First thing first the moment you arrive the parking is so tight. Second you carry your full suitcases up on 15 steps if you are placed on upper level, there is no elevator. It’s a rectangular building two floors. The shortest side opens into a tiny beach access. So keep low expectations. Thirdly the rooms have musty smell and mold like. There is no Laundry in the units. It’s a pain to find coins and detergent. Toilet supplies won’t last if it’s a few days long trip. We did not enjoy the property neither beach access.

It was great and easy access from the airport. Great being just steps from the water and beach. It was quiet, relaxing and a great place to crash at night. Great location to Safeway, Wal-Mart, Costco Lahaina as well as the Luau we went to in Kihei at the Wailea Beach resort at the Marriott Hotel. Definitely Recommend this Unit and property. We're coming Back!!

This was a great place to stay - we had an 18-month old and it was great for him with access to the pool and beach. We had one issue where we didn't have beach towels upon our arrival and someone brought them by within a couple hours, so all in all, it was a very pleasant stay and I would recommend to others!

Staying in this condo in Kihei was a great springboard for our Maui adventures! We wanted to get to the various parts of the island easily but also have laidback mornings and evenings on the beach and that’s exactly what we got. Being oceanfront, having three beds (the pullout couch worked for a child) and a basic kitchen in our place was a great fit for our family. The beach was beautiful and the water was calm and warm, perfect for the kids and paddleboarding for the adults. ABC, Sugar Beach Bake Shop and Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice were just a four-five minute walk away on the beach. We hope to return here again!

I love this condo and would want to stay here again if we are ever able to come back to Maui. It had the best vibe, it was cozy and felt like a home. The kitchen had all the pots and pans we needed to cook for ourselves, the beds were so freaking comfortable. The TV's allowed us to sign into our Netflix so that we could watch our shows at the end of a long day. The view and access to the beach was incredible. It was clean and had good AC, and was well soundproofed, I couldn't hear anything in other rooms. I would have stayed in the condo all day and it would have made my trip to Hawaii wonderful.

Loved the condo. It's a bit smaller than some but worked perfectly for 2 couples and a 12 yo. The beach is amazing and location sells it. I do wish there was in unit laundry. But, we can't wait to go back.

We arrived just after the flood which damaged all the first floor of the complex. Luckily We were located on the second floor. They needed to close down the complex for flood repairs. Rentals Maui was able to find us another accommodation. But the short one night stay was great. Place is compact and efficiently laid out, and in a great location. Just off the beach. We would stay there again.
