Aloha and welcome to our dream ohana. We believe that this condo offers the best view, location and beach in Maui. The Kihei Surfside building is the closest building to the water in all of Maui. You are situated on a pristine large lawn with palm trees, seating areas where you can relax and watch the ocean and sea-life. The Surfside building is situated just north of one of maui's best beaches, Keawakapu beach. The resort features a heated oceanside pool, BBQ's, and beautiful seating areas.
This third floor two bedroom oceanfront condo is located on the mauka (mountain) end of the building. It has spectacular ocean views from the living room, dining area, master bedroom and lanai. Relative to other properties in the Wailea/south Kihei district, this unit is a great value economical alternative for a family (maximum occupancy 6) or two couples to enjoy the spectacular oceanfront location of the Kihei Surfside.
The unit has free, wireless high speed internet. The condo is tiled throughout. The fully equipped kitchen has large windows in the kitchen through which there is a spectacular view to the east of Haleakala, or the East Maui Volcano (tallest peak 10.023 feet) which forms more than 75% of the Hawaiian Island of Maui. It is fully equipped with a convection oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and a variety of small appliances including coffee maker, and toaster. There is also a large selection of pots and pans, baking pans, knives, BBQ tools, and ample matching dishes, glasses and cutlery.
The unit currently does not have AC. We have ceiling fans in all rooms and standing fans for hot days. There usually is a nice breathe that comes from the ocean when you leave your lanai doors and windows open.
The living room has a sofa that converts into a bed with a chair. There is a LCD HD TV with HD cable box, and DVD player and multi speed ceiling fan.
The dining area has a beautiful wooden dining table with matching chairs.
The large, private lanai has a bistro table with two matching armchairs and two chaise loungers - a spectacular place to enjoy your morning coffee or a romantic oceanfront dinner! Phenomenal viewing of whales in season.
The master bedroom has a high quality king size bed with fresh linens. There is also a multi speed ceiling fan, 40" Smart flat screen LCD HD TV with DVR cable box. The master bedroom is located on the ocean side of the building from where the ocean is audible and the full ocean view is outstanding.
The second bedroom has twin beds and fresh linens. These can be pushed together to make a king bed.
The unit is fully equipped with washer/dryer, fresh linen and towels.

So many locals thanked us for coming despite the news stories on the mainland. Without tourism in the unaffected areas the devastation would be worse. Many are fearful of the upcoming months that reservations were canceled. Please come to Maui, the people are depending on us. Mahalo

We loved staying at Frankie John's condo at the Kihei Surfside. The condo has great views and is very nicely appointed. We loved making breakfast in the kitchen and listening to the sound of the ocean. It felt like a home and not just a vacation rental. Frankie John is a very considerate and gracious host. Coulnd't ask for better and we look forwarding to stay again!

This was such a great property!! The view from the balcony was amazing! We even saw whales one morning from there. The beach was so close it wasn’t a big deal to send the kids back to the room to get something is they forgot it. Frankie was so responsive and friendly, it was so reassuring to know she was available, actually available, to assist with any requests!

Great location! It was nice being close to Kehei but not in the middle of town. It was very quiet with a great beach and a nice pool. We were able to BBQ most dinners and we ate at the tables on the lawn.
The condo was well stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards and beach towels. The lanai was roomy with great patio furniture. We would definitely stay here again!

We, our friend and teenage daughters returned to Maui for a week and needed a cozy VRBO to house us. This property was perfect! Great view of both the ocean and mountains. Beds were comfy. Had extras like beach chairs, cooler, boogie boards. Communication was excellent and the snorkeling was perfect right off the property. Cute beach and not too crowded. We would definitely stay again. Nice unit, great view and terrific location. Wonderful snorkeling and ocean swimming close by. Kitchen is nicely set up. No air conditioning (as indicated by the owner), so the second bedroom is really stuffy at night when the days are hot. The mattress in there is soft foam, which makes you feel wrapped in the heat.

Surfside really is the hidden gem of Kihei and this property, view, and amazing owners made our trip a perfect memory. The condo is beautifully furnished and has a fantastic view from the oversized patio/deck. The owners were extremely accommodating and kind and were quick to reply to any questions or needs that we had. It’s rare to find owners who sincerely care about comfort of your stay. Huge thanks to the owners!! We’re already looking at dates for next year.
