The Kamaole Sands property was stunning. There were beautiful plants and trees everywhere and the grounds were perfectly manicured. The pool area was very nice as well. There is a ping pong table, a fuse ball table and a small gym next to the pool. We were in building 2, unit 404. The balcony is small but has a beautiful view of the ocean. The unit comfortably sleeps 4 people ( 2 single beds in downstairs bedroom and a king size in upper loft). The downstairs bedroom closet has 5 beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler, a wagon to bring everything to the beach, a boogie board, pool noodles, water wings and 2 beach umbrellas (but don’t bother trying to use the umbrellas at Kam beaches because it is too windy). There were lots of spices in the kitchen and coffee filters but you need to purchase everything else including coffee, sugar and condiments. The location is great. It is right across from Kamaole beach 3 and a short walk to the right to Kam beach 2 or to the left only 5 min walk to the Kihei boat ramp where all the snorkel boats leave from. It is also a short walk to some shops and restaurants. Coconuts was good for a quick meal. Good land is only a 5 min drive up the road. Our favourite restaurant was Nalu’s Southshore Grill which was a 7 min drive up the road. The grounds crew at the Kamaole Sands were very sweet and friendly. It was a relaxing atmosphere. We walked across to the beach every night to see the stunning sunsets. It was an awesome week with my family!

My family stayed here and I must say, it was the best place we have ever stayed at. We came for a wedding in Wailea and out of my relatives that stayed at the other resorts in the area, this one was by far the best. It was quiet, gorgeous views of the resort and ocean, very clean, and friendly staff. My parents, who stayed in another resort, even said that they will be booking there next time. Everyone loved it and kids just didn’t want to leave. Thank you for hosting our family. It was our first family trip to Maui and we are definitely coming back and going to bookmark this place for the future.

Fantastic location and great layout for our family of 4. My sons made good use of the fitness center and pool when they weren't on the beach. You have to get out there early for the grills and picnic tables but there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance too.

Our family of two adults and two boys (ages 11 and 13) absolutely loved the property. This was our first trip to Maui, and the location was centrally located on the island and steps from Kam #3 beach. The latter has both snorkeling and the best beach break you’ll find in Maui not on the North Shore. Having a separate room and twin beds for our boys helps everyone maintain their sanity throughout the stay. The space, beautiful views of the water from the balcony, and amenities all added to our wonderful stay.

It's a petty complaint but it was inconvenient on our part to drive to a store the day before we left to buy toilet paper. I think you gave us 2 rolls for each bathroom for the week. Ive never rented from anyone else that rationed toilet paper. very silly! also we only had 4 beach towels for the 5 of us. It was a lovely and nice condo and we enjoyed our stay. I've stayed at Kamaole Sands many times and this was the first time our toilet paper was rationed.Thank you

We absolutely LOVED Kamaole Sands and our condo was great!
It was well stocked with everything we needed. My advice is to suss out the condo first to see what you need before grabbing everything at the grocery store because this condo had a lot!
Very clean, and beautiful location overlooking the green grass area and pool. A very short walk to Kamaole beach III.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

My wife and family stayed at this lovely plush condo for the second consecutive year and it was even better this time. We enjoyed the full kitchen, with impressive appliances and all the necessary cooking utensils, dishes, pots, glasses, etc. The dining table for six was new this year and provided a great platform for eating and table games. Great Wifi and cable channels rounded out our inside entertainment. The lanai and view were great at any time of day and the grounds were meticulously groomed, with the ocean in the background.
The beds were very comfortable and the unit's washer/dryer worked well and were greatly appreciated. Opening the lanai door and front door, leaving both screened doors closed allowed a wonderful breeze to flow through the unit, keeping the temperature very pleasant. We never used the air conditioner during our stay.
Included with the unit were all the necessary chairs, towels, boogie boards, coolers & other toys to make the beach experience enjoyable. One of the best beaches in Kihei is Kamaole III, which was a short walk from the unit & most days we headed over for fun in the ocean.
For those looking for some of the island's best fresh fruit, consider getting a "Maui Gold" pineapple, mangoes and strawberry papayas from Farmer's Market Maui (located at the north end of South Kihei Road), just a few miles north of owner Sarah's unit. Go early for the best selection.
Sarah was very easy to work with and helped make our vacation a huge success. We loved the condo and hope to stay here again in the future.

As the owner of this unit since 2001, I spend a number of months in Maui every year and every year have made numerous major and minor improvements for my, and my guests, enjoyment. I am very happy to say that with this year's improvements to the condo, I think it is nearing perfection. This year we installed bamboo cabinets and quartz countertops in the master bath, replaced the 2nd bathroom countertop with quartz, installed beautiful plantation shutters in the second bedroom, purchased a beautiful new glass top dining table that will more comfortably seat six, new entertainment center, several new pieces of art, replaced and improved the blades on the ceiling fans, new bedspreads in the 2nd bedroom. It was a busy year! We think you will agree that our home is cozy, tastefully decorated and very comfortable and will feel like home to you and your family.

We absolutely loved this place! It was lovely, and had everything we needed! Very comfortable, the views were spectacular! The owner included towels, chairs, and everything we could need at the beach. The kitchen had more than we could ask for! Everything was just perfect. I wish we could have stayed longer!

6 of our adult family members stayed over the Christmas holidays. Sarah's place was welcoming from the moment we arrived at 1:00 am. Spotless and enough 'basics' to get us through the night and the next morning. We truly appreciated the use of the beach chairs and coolers and the boogie board. The snorkel gear was handy too! We were a perfect short walk ( 2 mins) to Kam3 beach. Easy access to the pool area and the BBQ areas. We look forward to our next stay at Sarah's condo. Thank you for your generous hospitality! This beautiful property coupled with the owner's prompt, detailed, and caring correspondence pleasingly exceeded all of our expectations. The condo is meticulously maintained inside and out and is exceptionally well equipped. The views from the spacious top floor lanai are purely spectacular and breathtaking. The condo's central Kihei location offers numerous amenities within walking distance including shopping, dining, and of course one of the best beaches on the island. We are perpetually grateful for having the privilege to stay here and look forward to staying here again in the future. Absolutely perfect!!

My wife and I visited Maui for the first time and had a fabulous, relaxing week staying in this beautiful condo at Kamaole Sands. Our visit went very smoothly, thanks in large part to Sarah who promptly addressed all of our questions and provided us with all the information we needed so that our arrival and check-in went smoothly.
The pictures on her posting accurately depict what you’ll find when you enter. Being on the top floor, the unit has a two-floor layout. The main floor has a bedroom by the entry with a closet that Sarah has stocked with items that you may find useful during your stay – ‘backpack’ beach chairs, a boogie board, a soft-side cooler, among other things.
Ceiling fans keep the place cool and we never found the need to turn on the air conditioning. Glass doors open onto the large deck where we spent the end of each perfect day with mai tais, watching the sun sink under the horizon to create an amazing sunset. The view of the ocean and the exotic flora of the grounds are breathtaking.
A centerpiece in the living room is the spiral staircase that leads to a balcony and the master suite on the second floor. The suite has a comfortable king bed and a full bath. Sarah’s tasteful use of local art décor continues here and makes for a peaceful space.
Location is everything, and this condo really delivers. Directly across the street from Kamaole Sands is the Kamaole III beach. If you enjoy early morning and evening beach walks, you’ll be delighted. The town of Kihei has installed pedestrian crossing lights and with the press of a button the lazy flow of traffic, if any, will stop and let you cross. The white sand beach is beautiful and a great walk can be had by traversing short park areas heading north to the adjoining Kamaole beaches II and I.
We found the snorkeling on Kamaole III beach to be up to par with the trip to Molokini Crater. Just beyond the gentle breaking waves are a number of shallow coral reefs. Colorful tropical fish abound, as do sea turtles and octopus.
Again, location. Sarah’s condo is in a perfect location for walking everywhere. There are a number of restaurants within an easy 15-minute walk on flat terrain that you’ll find enjoyable. Shops are plentiful if you’re looking for that special something to bring home or as a present.
We look forward to booking this condo in the future and would strongly recommend it. Mahalo!

Need to fix screen it was very hard to close. Also in downstairs bedroom some of the slates on the windows didn't close properly letting in the sun when sleeping.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unit! We look forward to renting it again in the future. Lovely ocean view from the deck that we used frequently. Beautiful, updated kitchen with all the utensils, cooking ware, many spices and condiments and even sharp knives. A treat to discover beach chairs for all four of us. Easy walking distance to pool and beach. Comfortable beds. Definitely a wonderful place to stay!

The condo was everything and more than we hoped for. Easy access to beach and could walk to restaurants and other amenities. Great organic market is a 10 min walk away. The only recommendation is that someone turns on the air conditioner ahead of arrival if possible. The unit is downstairs for the entire unit. We arrived at 9pm and it was very hot and stuffy. It took until about 5am for the unit to cool enough to be comfortable. That's the only negative if you are accustomed to a hotel with central air. Unit is spotless and the washer dryer is great. Guest closet is full of beach stuff like 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs, 6 beach towels, boogie board, sand toys, etc. appliances are new and worked great. We feel very lucky to have found this place and hope to be back next year!

My mom, friend and I spent a relaxing week at Kamala Sands. Sarah is so great to work with. The unit is spacious, well equipped with everything we needed and the view is amazing. The stars sparkle at night and the ocean sparkles during the day. The grounds are so lovely and lush. Okay...the best part..the beach, a very short walk across the street, is great for snorkeling and swimming AND everyday, there was at least 6 sea turtles hanging out. I can't wait to go back.
