This was our first time in this unit, however we have rented at Nani Kai Hale many times over the years. This unit was ok, however we were disappointed in the overall cleanliness. The showers, from all outward appearances in the pictures, seemed fine until after a few days and that is when the mold and mildew started coming out. If I could attach pics I would but you'll have to take my word for it. We were there two weeks, and halfway through the stay I asked Belo to see if we could get it cleaned. They responded 3 days before we left and said "all the vendors I pursued are booked up until next week." Honestly, this is years worth of gross that has been glossed over with something other than bleach and a good scrub. If it were just the showers then we might let it go. The piping on the couch (and the arms) was darker than the rest of the fabric. Discoloration from body oils no doubt. The couch and chair in the living area really needs to be replaced, but the unit is for sale so you get what you get. Its not real comfortable for 4 adults. They say the new windows reduce traffic noise, but they clearly haven't slept in it. Between the large trucks air braking, people honking because others won't let them merge, and just general traffic, it's loud. We never sat on the patio because we really couldn't hear each other over the noise. Definitely couldn't hear the calming swells of the ocean. Parking was a breeze and we always have loved the outdoor area to grill and watch the sun set. Kitchen was not stocked as much as we would have liked but we got by. Property mgr and groundskeeper were very present and friendly. Love that the laundry facilities accepted Shine Pay so we didn't have to find quarters. Nani Kai Hale is an excellent location, however we won't be staying in this unit again.

Arranging the rental with Bello was easy and straightforward. Access was easily arranged and the only hitch was not being informed about the change to the lanai gate lock code. Overall, the building and the grounds were in fantastic condition and the unit itself was clean and welcoming. The balcony for suite 502 overlooks the main highway so it took a couple of days to get used to the sound of traffic. This is our fourth stay at Nane kai Hale and keep returning due to its central location and proximity to Kihei.

We had a great stay! The rental location is very convenient, a short drive to anything you need and a short walk to smaller shopping areas. It is very clean and the AC was very comfortable. We were also delighted to be provided with some beach essentials like a cooler and chairs! You can see the sunset from the balcony which was amazing, and having the beach a few steps away was perfect.The stove is a bit finnicky and the kitchen isn't 100% fully stocked with some kitchen accessories that would be nice to have. Also, no shower toiletries were provided nor many pantry staples like coffee, oil, etc. Just some things to plan to bring or purchase if you stay here!

The unit is on the fifth floor and has expensive views of the mountain and Valley. There are also some views of the ocean. You will need to drive to get groceries or for dining, but it’s only a few miles. It is conveniently located, if you want to travel to other parts of the island.

This property is exactly where you want it to be - right on the beach! Last year we stayed in a busier and more tourist filled area of Kihei. This was a nice break, with walking distance to Ululani’s Shaved Ice and an ABC store. Would stay here again 100%! Plus had great amenities like beach chairs, cooking supplies, etc. if you want to watch Netflix or a streaming channel though…bring an adapter to your phone to HDMI cord. :)

This Sugar Beach property was an extreme pleasure… the condo was very comfortable and welcoming and the beach is amazing. We loved the area. Very central. Right on Sugarbeach. Beach never crowded. Clean. We had everything we needed in the condo. We would definitely stay again. When we got here, I misplaced my email for the code to get in. I was unable to get ahold of anyone. No one ever did call me back throughout our stay. Thankfully I found the email and all was fine but be sure to save the code. I hate to think where we would have stayed if we'd not found the email with code. But we loved it. Great pool and lounging area as well. Literally right on the beach.

Basic condo, we’ve had better and have had worse. I have no complaints other than the location of the condo within the complex, as the balcony is right beside the very busy and noisy street. Also, the balcony is very small and not big enough for more than two people to sit on at once, and even then it’s cramped. Nosy residents in the complex asking questions, “investigating” whether we are there legitimately. The keypad wasn’t working properly for the pool and when we couldn’t get in guy out on his balcony questioning us about whether we were guests and whether we knew the combination. Also, woman constantly around like she was the security guard or something, watching all the time. In laundry room doorway, elevator, watching people at the gate to beachside area, pool entry, she was everywhere. You can find a better condo for same price.

I love the Nani Kai Hale condos. It has a mix of residents and guest. They are all very friendly and the location makes it easy to access most places. There is a lot of traffic noise in the back end units but they are still very nice. The one complaint is that the kitchen utensils didn't seem that clean, so we cleaned them, and the towels smelled of mildew once used. Someone problem let them sit wet too long. Other than that, I will be back and would love to be an owner someday!

This was our second time in Maui, the first time we had stayed at a resort near Kaanapali area. The unit was clean and met our needs for two couples. It had many extras that were nice - 2 beach chairs, plenty of towels, coolers, etc. Parking was easy. We did not use the lanai/balcony because it is quite small, views are not very good, and the traffic noise.Nice to walk out the door and get on the beach. However nothing else is walkable from the unit - almost no sidewalks. While not walkable we found this location much more central for driving around the island. We did the road to Hana, Haleakala, Costco, etc. - this location was much better for that than Kaanapali.

This place is centrally located to everything. Fifteen minutes to Costco, Walmart, and any grocery. It's also about 15-20 minutes to the excellent hotels and the start of the road to Hana or Haleakala. It's 9 minutes to the harbor and 20 to Lahaina. Plan on driving a lot. Ululanis shaved ice is just walking down the street, but expect a 20-30 min line.
A few notes: the trade winds pick up in the afternoon but can run late into the night or even in the morning. However, most days, the morning is very calm, and the beach is fantastic for babies/kids. Terrible for snorkeling, but there are a lot of places for that.
There are kids' sand toys available by the BBQ, so don't buy them or bring them. There weren't any boogie boarding waves, but they didn't have them. I saw a couple of masks and snorkels but was unsure of the condition.
The closet has three ice chests, two beach chairs, and I think an umbrella, but I didn't see a mop—tons of towels.
You'll need to bring shampoo or buy some at the store.
There aren't a lot of seasonings and a lot of odds and ends. Things like foil, zip lock baggies, and other kitchen items are limited. You'll also need quarters for the washing machines.
The beds are queen or full size, and it was a little tight with our infant without a playpen or crib, so I slept on the couch. There are no boaster seats or high chairs either.

Great location for traveling anywhere on Maui. Close to airport. A lot of good food spots nearby. Beach access was fantastic since the beach is quiet with beautiful views and not crowded at all. This specific condo was a great size for two people but could definitely accommodate another couple. Had pretty much everything you would need to make your own meals. My only complaint is that the resident manager never reached out to give the access codes to pool/restroom, but I did not find it necessary since I did not use either of those amenities and thus did not reach out myself so not a big deal at all. Overall, I would highly recommend this property and would 100% stay here again.

This was centered in the heart of Maui and it allowed us to see everything without terrible drive times. Great beach access, place was stocked with good essentials (coolers, beach chairs, beach umbrella.) AC worked well and beds were comfy. Condo was also clean! Thank you!

The online listing was accurate EXCEPT there are no fans in either bathroom…and not even a window in one.
Other than that, Accommodations and LOCATION were perfect. On quiet sugar beach. Grassy front of condo area is right on beach. Perfect view of sunset and whale watching. Upkeep and maintenance is beautiful. BBQ area is great place for evening meals.
If you want to be amidst a lot of people and action this is probably not your place .

Had most everything you need but no cutting boards so had to cut everything on a plate. Would be nicer if BBQ were allowed on the decks. The ones by the pool were great but so out of the way when you just want to relax and have a drink. It was very windy when we were there but no one can predict that. Definitely need to rent a car but not from Dollar rent a car. Would rent this again if we come back to Maui
