I would highly recommend this condo. It was very clean and updated. The owners thought of all the details and we especially appreciated the extra supplies provided since we only came for a few days. The large lanai was great for lounging and we were close to everything - the beaches, shops and restaurants.

Everything about this condo is top-notch. The location in South Kihei, just across from Kamaole Beach III is super convenient for swimming, body surfing and snorkeling. We experienced turtles swimming by us every single day we spent at the beach. Kamaole III has lifeguards, which is also nice. There’s a beautiful view of the beach and ocean from the large, comfortable lanai. We really enjoyed the lanai for breakfast, sunset watching and a few afternoon naps. The kitchen and living area are very comfortable and well stocked with anything we needed during our stay. Bob and Lindy have thought of everything to make our stay worry-free. There are several good restaurants within walking distance or just a short drive. We will definitely plan to book this condo again in the future.

Maui needs tourism. The many business owners of the island need our dollars in order to survive. But people also need to come with patience, understanding and Aloha. This condo, being in South Kihei, is a perfect place to stay...so easy to get to many wonderful beaches, restaurants and activities. Our hosts, Bob & Lindy, are so kind and communicative. We highly recommend their condo and look forward to returning. Mahalo!

Great condo! It is in a great location, beautiful furnishings, stocked to perfection for a care free island vacation, and the owners are very responsive when you contact them. The grills on the property add a lot and the fountains and beautiful garden area are just what you would hope for. The lanai closet is fully stocked with chairs, sand toys, etc. Thank you again Bob and Lundy! We had an AMAZING time!

We truly enjoyed our stay and it was due to the relaxing couch and table on the lanai to read, enjoy meals outside and watch the sunset! A relaxing escape from the daily routine. The girls loved the Murphy beds and hanging out on the lanai and pool.

OMG! What can I say, Fabulous, Elegance in Paradise. Beautiful Condo with everything you could ever ask for and more. Soft luxurious king bed, soft sheets plenty of linens towels beach towels, chairs, coolers., and beach umbrellas. Beautiful sunsets at night in the park right across the street with the beach right there. We come to Maui every year and stay at Kamaole Sands since 2008. First time at this condo and when we went to book it for next year our weeks were taken. Great location walking distance to restaurants and local bars. Can't wait to come back. We have stayed at Kamaole Sands in the past . This area of Kihei will not disappoint. A short walk to the beach , restaurants , delicious ice cream & cinnamon buns !! The condo was well stocked with everything we needed, with the owners leaving a welcome gift & checking with us to make sure we were happy with everything!
We plan to return sometime in the future !

The property has an amazing location right across from the ocean, which can be seen from the lanai. This rental has everything you need to truly enjoy a family vacation. Bob and Lindy have provided all the essentials plus the "goodies" in the lanai closet take the worry out of what to bring to the beach.

Last minute we decided to extend our trip in Maui by a few extra days and ended up choosing to stay in Kihei! The condo was fully equipped with everything we needed and teh location was great! We were right across the street from the beach and in walking distance of shopping and restaurants! My daughter had a big birthday year so she want to celebrate near the water and this place didn’t disappoint. Fabulous condo and very close to one of our favorite beaches. We were even surprised by a huge turtle while swimming. Very exciting! Great kitchen with updated appliances. Seriously, you will want for nothing. BTW, beautiful ocean view from the front door and lanai. We would seriously consider this condo on our next trip to Maui. Mahalo for lovely and relaxing week.

The Kamaole Sands was a great property in an excellent location. We were able to get to different beaches each day with ease, the condo had everything we needed to prepare breakfast or dinner, including a very nice grilling set up. This condo was perfect for us, and included the beach gear we needed to make our days perfect. We were wishing we had gotten our children to Hawaii while they were still young, this condo would be perfect for a family of 4.

The location is perfect. Just a short walk to the beach and park area. The Lanai is what we loved the most. It's huge and has a nice couch and table. Sometimes we just stayed on the Lanai and had dinner or drinks. The condo is also a short walk to a few restaurants and stores.

Bob & Lindy were amazing hosts. Before our trip, I had contacted them asking if they had a puddle jumper for our child. They didn’t, but went the extra mile to call the snorkeling shop down the street from the unit to ask if they had any available and notified me the shop had an online special going. I appreciate their great customer service and going above and beyond!
Their unit had everything we needed for our family of 4 during our one week stay. We started our days cooking breakfast and enjoying the morning views on the Lanai. The unit is steps away from the beach and perfect for watching the sunset. Beach chairs and beach towels are graciously provided. Our family also enjoyed using the on-site pool. The unit has a washer and dryer, which makes packing light a breeze. We are already looking forward to returning to Bob & Lindy’s condo on our next Maui trip. Mahalo Bob and Lindy!

We have stayed here before, but this year there were several upgrades made to the condo that really made our stay even more comfortable. The cordless Dyson vacuum made it really easy to keep our temporary living space clean. The new coffee machine was lovely as was the couch outside. There was plenty of everything we needed (beach towels, shower towels, etc.). We always stay in Kam Sands and will definitely try for this condo again on our next visit!

We had a magical time at this ocean front condo in Kihei! To be able to just pop right across the street to the beach was so nice, especially with small children. Possibly my favorite thing was that the condo was completely stocked, not a single thing we needed to purchase, just showed up with food and enjoyed 10 days in paradise.

My husband and I were lucky enough to stay in another unit owned by Bob and Lindy in February 2019. It was a wonderful stay. The tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean interior, the oversized lanai, the beautiful view, and the fully equipped kitchen all created such a welcoming environment.
Fast forward to 2021...we attempted to once again reserve the unit, but it was booked during whale season. After much searching, we came upon accommodations nearby that appeared to meet our needs. Not long after the reservation was confirmed, we were ELATED to learn that the unit had new owners...BOB AND LINDY HUGHES! We knew we had hit the jackpot! We spent 13 glorious days there and just returned home less than a week ago.
The view from this unit is absolutely gorgeous, and we ate most of our meals from the lanai. Evening sunsets aren't to be missed. A very quick walk across the street to the park/beach area provides a front-row seat to the spectacular evening sunsets. ("Seats" courtesy of Bob and Lindy!) During whale season, the breaches and blows of the amazing humpbacks are visible from there even without binoculars. (But binoculars make it much more exciting!)
When we visit Maui, our main focus is whale watching. The location of the condo complex is literally a five-minute walk or a 60-second drive (we did that once! lol) to the boat ramp from which several outdoor adventure companies provide exciting whale watching trips and more. We were out on the water nearly every day and were NEVER disappointed!
Bob and Lindy were consistently quick to respond to any concerns and/or inquiries I had before and during the trip. They truly want their guests to have a worry-free experience! It's obvious they take great pride in their two units and are open to constructive ideas for improvement.

Bob and Lindy's condo was the perfect location for our family of four to enjoy Kihei and explore Maui. It had everything we needed and was a great "home base" to come home to after our daily adventures. Our kiddos loved the Murphy beds and the lanai goody closet had everything we could have wanted for the beach! Mornings and evenings on the lanai watching the ocean and hearing the waves and the birds were priceless. Definitely a great stay, thank you!!

The Kihei condo was perfect for our first trip to Maui. Though our days were filled with outdoor adventures around the island, it was nice to return to the comfortable condo. I booked this condo months ago and then Bob and Lindy became the new owners. They communicated right away to let me know and were easy to get ahold of during our trip. Check in was a breeze.
The view of the fountains and the beach from our lanai were spectacular. You could hear the laughter of children playing on the lawns, or birds chirping, but nothing too loud ever. At 9 when the fountains turn off you can hear the waves crashing on the beach. The kitchen has all the appliances you could dream of and the lanai was well stocked with beach gear and toys for the whole family.
The king bed was great and the wall beds are comfy too! The laminate flooring goes throughout the entire condo and what I loved about it is that it’s not slick even when it gets a little bit wet. They have a cordless dyson which is super handy for doing a quick vacuum if you track in some sand. It was 85° and I we only needed the AC in the bedroom right before bed because the condo gets a nice breeze going through.
The pool was great and our kids even learned to swim on this trip. The pool area gets tons of sun during the day. There is a kids only pool for the littles, and not too hot tub for the family and then a HOT tub for adults only which I think is fantastic. The pool staff was always friendly and did a good job of keeping people for getting too wild.
The grounds in general were just very beautiful with paved pathways, several fountains and nice landscaping.
We have stayed at several locations in kihei and this was our favorite. Can’t wait to go back!!

Lindy and Bob have a created a perfect beach getaway with everything you might need to enjoy the water, sun and sand. Cleverly appointed, organized and extremely guest friendly set-up. The lanai is great and where we spent most of our time while indoors. Appreciated the a/c in the bedroom at night. Helpful touches throughout including keyless entry which made it super simple- no chance of losing your key at the beach! :)

It was a unique situation in that we rented this property from one couple and just before we arrived, the property was sold to a new couple. The communication from the new couple was outstanding. They called well in advance of our arrival to let us know about the change in ownership and to assure us that our stay was guaranteed and that the property would be in the same or better condition as was advertised. The new owners, Bob and Lindy, made sure the property was in great condition when we arrived and even made several upgrades to the property prior to her arrival. We loved Kihei and this was the perfect location for us.

Our stay was so perfect, very comfortable and we had everything we needed and more. We loved the large lanai, the cookware (very high end, easy to clean pots and pans!) enjoyed the wide selection of drink glasses including fancy champagne stems and the beds were very comfortable. The Hughes went above and beyond providing a "starter" kit which was actually full sized versions of paper towels, soaps, kitchen supplies, etc and had a handwritten note and welcome basket. Thank you for that!! It was a very nice surprise. We loved having the option of the Keurig in addition to the coffee maker. There were plenty of towels to use while a load may be washing. Bob was easy to communicate with and we were very happy with our stay. Cant' wait to come back!! Thank you Bob and Lindy!

The pros: Excellent location & views, directly across the street from beach, close to 2 grocery stores, mostly well stocked. The cons: this condo complex is 35 years old, the condo is 9/10 remodeled. The hall bathroom was remodeled with granite countertop and vessel sink, the shower was 35 years old and had a slight mildew smell and some rust. The condo has beds for 4 people but seating for only 3 in the living room and the living room leather chair was peeling badly, which we tracked throughout the condo. We slept for 2 nights on a broken bed but Christie, the contact person got it fixed. We discovered a hand towel rack in the bathroom that was falling out of the wall, I reported it and we didn't use it the rest of our stay. Other family members rented 2 other condos in building 10 that were completely remodeled and furnished with modern furniture. We expected more quality for the price we paid.

We loved our stay in this condo. It made our vacation to kihei comfortable and safe. The condo was clean and the bed was very comfy. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs. Our favorite part of the condo was the lanai. We were able to sit out there and enjoy the grounds of the complex and the oceanfront view. We spent 12 days with our 15 and 8 yo, wonderful all around. We loved being able to easily walk to two beaches (Kam 3 right across the street, as well as the easy .5 mile walk along the shore to Keawakapu), the famous cinnamon roll place, and a couple of coffee spots. We enjoyed boogie boarding, snorkeling and took surf lessons just down the road. The pool was a great afternoon spot to relax. The owners were easy to communicate with, the unit had a well-stocked kitchen and the beach chairs and umbrella were used daily. The sunset view every night was great. We would stay again!

Extremely clean and well organized unit. Love the twin Murphy beds so our kids didn’t need to share a sofa bed. The bed in the back was very comfortable! We love Kam III Beach just across the street and unit was the best ever stocked place I’ve stayed and we’ve been to many in Kihei. Kam III is very mellow and yet still lifeguarded and the unit was just across the street. The view was great from the lanai. Grills were easily accessible Downsides were only one pool that gets crowded, third floor unit and somewhat noisy construction above and some noise between units, and bedroom AC was loud BUT AC is AC so rather be comfortable. Also all in all totally great place to stay!

I highly recommend this location and condo. The entire Condo site is maintained beautifully. The BBQ area was super clean, the gardens were beautiful and felt like we were in the tropics with all of the birds. The location is magnificent. very quiet too. Very short walk to the beach and park. Shopping is also within short walking distance. We felt very safe in this neighborhood. The condo we stayed in was super clean. Kitchen was well stocked, provided beach going supplies. I would stay here again anytime!!

This condo has it all - location, view, comfort and style. It’s just a few steps from Kamaole Beach Park III, which is a great spot for swimming, snorkeling and body surfing. There’s also a nice large lawn with shade for those of us who sunburn easily.
The bedroom has a super-comfy king sized bed and an en-suite bath with a walk-in shower. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals on the few occasions that we ate in. There were nice barbecues available for use in the common area of the property.
We have stayed in several different condos on this property and this one is one of the very nicest we have experienced. The owners and property manager were very helpful and responsive. We especially appreciated that the property manager checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed to prepare for an upcoming tropical storm.
We hope to return to this condo on our next Maui vacation!

My husband and I just returned from Maui and enjoyed our time in Paul and Arlene's condo. The location cannot be beat and is within walking distance of several beaches, restaurants, and shopping! The condo was well equipped, very clean, and organized! Views from the lanai were gorgeous and made relaxing between our planned activities even better. We really enjoyed the setting of a home while on vacation! The hostess, Christie, also called on our last day before we checked out to help with information about the Maui airport, which was very nice!

If you are looking for convenience to a great beach and a super comfortable "home away from home" you won't be disappointed when you rent this property! Check-in process was a breeze. The property was very clean, the kitchen was spotless, well organized and stocked with all the cooking items you would need. The Murphy beds were super comfortable with regular mattresses & my sons (ages 23 & 14) loved them. The bathrooms were spotless as well. It was great having the beach chairs, towels, coolers, etc provided by the owners. We did purchase a beach umbrella and donated it for future renters. Although we never utilized the outdoor Weber grills or grilling pavilions on the property, they were immaculate! Due to the impending arrival of Hurricane Lane, we decided to cut our vacation short by 2 days, but our time here was most enjoyable and I would definitely hope to stay here again in the future. Communication with the property manager was great as well.

Very nice condo and Resort. The unit was nicely remodeled and the location was very convenient. Would definitely recommend! Nice and clean, organized, and with everything you need. Christie (co-host) was very responsive to a small plumbing issue we had. You won't be disappointed! One caveat: the view pictured, while it can be seen from the lanai, is not the most obvious view, but we didn't really care-we just walked across the street to the beach!

Our stay here was one for the books. The condo was perfect for our family of four. It was extremely clean and had all the amenities we wanted. This condo surpassed all of our expectations. Couldn't have asked for a better location. Oversized lanai provided views of the ocean as well as the lush grounds and fountains at Kamaole Sands. We found the condo to be very clean, well organized and equipped with everything we needed.

This was our third time staying at a condo in Kamaole Sands and this was our favourite condo. There are many reasons why. Paul and Arlene were very easy to work with. They add very nice touches to their condo that makes you feel at home. Their condo was very clean and nicely labeled so we found stuff and were able to return to right spot easy. Love the supplies they left to get us started so we did not need to shop right away.
Our boys loved the twin Murphy beds in the living room. We loved sitting on the lanai and having our coffee. Building 10 is nice and close to the beach.
The property manager Christie was also helpful.

We absolutely enjoyed our 3 week stay in your lovely, well equipped condo. The kitchen is so well equipped with new appliances, utensils etc. and I love how everything is labelled, makes putting items away a breeze. The renovated bathrooms are great and I really appreciated how you have made the little alcove into a storage closet, great idea!!!! The king bed is so comfy at the end of the day as were the Murphy beds that were used by our daughter and son-in-law during their brief visit. Beach chairs and cooler were used daily. There wasn't a beach umbrella, problem solved by renting one from "The Snorkel Store."
We have stayed in many condos at Kamaole Sands during the 18 years that we have been vacationing in Maui but this is by far the best condo we have stayed in.
