Another wonderful stay in Maui at another Kamaole Sands condo. Property owner, Ted was great to work with as he always has been for us over the years. So prompt in responding to any questions or problems that we have needed to work through. This time it was shortening our trip by a little due to our daughter’s health.
The condo was furnished nicely with all of the extras that any beach going-family would want, boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, etc. If your family loves pool time you can leave this condo and be to the pool in less than one minute. Having an AC unit in the master bedroom along with the family room area where the kids slept at night was very nice. Kamaole is definitely our home away from home!

This condo is comfortable and located in a great family friendly complex. The beach is right across the street and the unit is stocked with ALL the beach gear you need! It was a decent stay for the 5 of us (3 kids ranging from 6-11) for 2 days. Having 2 bathrooms was a plus. We loved the ground floor unit, and the comfy lanai furniture.
The unit has great bones but there are a few areas that could be improved upon.
1)When we arrived, the condo did not smell clean. We isolated a fishy smell to the toaster oven, which then made it unusable. This was a bummer because we had a bunch of bagels, English muffins, bread, etc we were hoping to use up before the end of our trip, and the smell lingered the entire 2 days. (I did notify the owner so the cleaners could take care of it before the next guest).
2) The condo sleeps 5, but there were only 4 beach/pool towels. We made it work, but it is nice to have at least as many towels as your condo sleeps.
3) There is an outlet on the island that has sticky notes next to it that says “DANGEROUS DO NOT USE or TOUCH” but is not covered. Our kids are over 6, but if we had a toddler, this would have made me very nervous. It’s an easy fix to have it removed or covered.
4)The primary room has an in room AC unit, which we’re not used to, so we weren’t prepared for how loud it was while running all night. The bed (in the primary room) is quite firm. Doable for a few nights but too firm to sleep on for a week in my opinion.

It as a great place to stay during our 13 day vacation. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed and wanted. The wagon was especially appreciated for hauling the beach stuff to the beach! Pros: condo location is great across from Kamaole Beach 3 and in Bldg 5 next to pool, ground level is convenient, I like the security of gated complex, extra bed in 1 bdrm condo is huge bonus and cost saving. Blackout curtains in living room for person sleeping in there, but also to keep cool in the afternoon. Cons: AC unit in bedroom is very loud so it's hard to sleep with it on during the night. The condo could use a deep clean IE washing all the floors and baseboards and corners. Would stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.

We enjoyed our 16 day stay at this property. Have stayed in many Kamaole Sands units over the years and you can’t beat the proximity to pool and lower level grass access, especially with small kids. We had our 2 year old twins and 4 year old along and the condo was well equipped with toys for them. Our 4 year old utilized the floor futon which was perfect for him. The Murphy bed is suitable for kids and although it is better than a pullout couch, it wasn’t comfortable for my husband or myself. Unit was clean and very functional. Really appreciated that a new blender and beach umbrella were dropped off during our stay as well. A new coffee pot would be a huge plus! Thanks to Ted for having us. Would return to this unit for future trips.

We stayed here for 9 days, and this property was well stocked with appliances and utensils, we even had containers for our leftovers. The murphy bed was perfect for the kids and was easy to set up and stow using the instructions. Being on the ground floor was incredibly convenient and the key for the sliding door was nice so we could lock up walking right out to the courtyard. The only beach equipment we used were the chairs and the sand toys for the kids, but everything appeared to be in great condition. The only issue we had was the refrigerator water and ice did not work, but the owner was quick to respond and will surely have it fixed soon. We left ice trays and a brita filter pitcher in the meantime. We've stayed at Kamaole Sands 10 times over so many years in different properties and overall, this was one of the nicer ones that we've used.

This location is perfect for accessing a fantastic beach, just down the street from restaurants, and the grounds and pool were wonderful. The unit itself was clean and roomy, even for a one bedroom. I loved that the second bed for our kids was a Murphy bed rather than pull out couch so we still had access to the couch. Kitchen was well-stocked. We appreciated having access to laundry as well. The unit included beach chairs and toys, which was a plus. I would definitely stay here again when on Maui.

This was fully ready for kids! Had all the fun stuff for them, close walk to the pool and a five minute drive to the best beach for kiddos. The owner is in direct contact with you if anything is needed. Everything was great!

My husband and I rented this spot for a couple of days as we transitioned between islands because we needed a place to rest, do laundry and use as a base for our road to Hana drive. The condo did not disappoint . It was very comfortable, well equipped, and we enjoyed our stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay . The rental process was very easy and Ted, the owner quickly replied to all my questions. The Kamaole sands property is incredibly well maintained. Very short walk to beach, shops and restaurants. Loved the bbq grills and picnic tables on property. The condo unit was spacious , comfortable and fully equipped with everything you would need. Particularly liked having the use of all the beach equipment in the lanai closet. We would definitely stay here again.

Adorable condo just steps from the pool! Stocked with anything and everything you and your family will need at the pool or beach! Thought grandkids would be with us which is one of the reasons we booked Teds unit. Condo is very well set up for kids of all ages .

This is a beautiful Condo with an amazing location. It’s front and center to the pool and wonderful landscape, not to mention the beach across the street. The rental had everything we needed to enjoy our visit in comfort including toys for the kids (very much appreciated). Overall this made our trip much better!!!

We spent our honeymoon at teds place and it was perfect for what we wanted. We really appreciated all the beach chairs/ equipment that were there for us to use during our stay. It was a good middle point for every direction we wanted to go in and we definitely drove all over the island. I will say the ac kept the condo cold, the internet worked really well in the living room but did not really reach the bedroom which was not too big of a deal because we were exhausted at night anyway lol.
one thing to keep in mind is to bring reusable bags for groceries Bc all stores don’t have plastic bags. You can always buy some reusable ones at the store which is what we had to do.

Ted's place was perfect for our family. It is on the ground floor with a patio that leads into the grass. Across the beach which has a active lifeguard on duty. Closeby to many restaurants, we were able to get food delivery here easily due to this. We had an infant with us and Ted had a high chair and a pack and play for us to use which was convenient. Very comfortable bed also by the way!

This property was great! We loved being on the ground floor, where we could just walk out the patio doors and enjoy the grounds! The place was fully equipped from bath and beach towels,and kitchen appliances, to beach toys. We would definitely stay there again!

The property is beautiful! Well equipped with all the beach things and kitchen things one could want. One block from beach. Only odd thing was the hide-a-bed. It was full or queen and there was a memory foam mattress topper for a twin. Needs to be bigger in case 2 people are staying on the bed.

Kameole sounds is the best place to stay in Kihei! It is especially ideal if you are traveling with children. The entire property is beautiful and immaculately maintained with lots of room for running around and a large pool and pool deck area for kids to have lots of fun in. Ted’s condo suited us perfectly. The fold out foam for the floor was just fine for one of our teenage boys to sleep on and they found the sofa bed comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. The outdoor supplies were also well stocked. There was a cooler for carrying lunches and ice packs ready to go in the freezer. The unit is ground floor so very easy for your kids to run in and out of and it is just steps away from the pool for quick trips down to cool off for a late night swim before bed. I would definitely recommend this condo and we would stay here again.

Property location was good. Easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Easily accessible beach across the street. We took advantage of the beach chairs and umbrella that were provided. Reasonably well equipped kitchen. Air conditioners were loud, and the one in the bedroom took up a lot of space. This unit could be crowded with more than 2 adults.

Our Maui Vacation was a fantastic experience, and this condo definitely contributed to that! It had every beach toy, towel, and took we could have wanted. (We brought our two elementary-aged children).
Cleaning, linen, and laundry supplies were provided. The bed was so luxurious; I wanted to take the pillows home!
The location on this gated resort property was gorgeous and felt very safe. Close to the pool, and easy walking (quick) distance to the Kamoale III beach and restaurants.
Check in and out was so easy. Communication with the host was quick and clear. Everything promised in the listing was delivered! We would definitely stay here again!

Clean and quiet. Easy check in. Located near the pool but tucked in a green space. Loved sitting on the lanai! The evening breezes were great. Easy walk to the beach. Lovely green space park with shady trees and picnic benches next to the beach park is perfect for sitting in a chair and watching the sunset. Near great restaurants. Comfy bed. We enjoyed 3 weeks here. We have stayed in other Kihei properties but Kamaole Sands is our preference. It is beautifully maintained, safe, secure and well sitated to the beach, shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the complimentary orientation, Mai Tai Wednesday's and ukelele Christmas concert on the lawn.
This unit is VERY well equipped, freshly painted, nicely furnished and decorated. The owner is quick to respond and address any issues that arise. We LOVED the wagon to get coolers,umbrellas, chairs etc. to the beach. This owner has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a very tastefully remodeled condo on the ground floor of the Kamole Sands complex. The condo is spotless, with new furniture, appliances, linens, etc., instructions and access were very clear, the condo complex is quiet and immaculate. The pool is just around the garden bend - steps away from the condo patio, but without the noise and with a peaceful garden view. The condo is equipped with everything we needed - including brand new linens, extra blankets and sheets, appliances, dishes, pots/pans, coffee pot and filters, filtered water from the fridge, as well as beach towels, chairs (2 kids chairs too), small cooler, umbrellas, and cart to bring it all to the beach with you. The temperpedic bed was a great bonus, as was the TV with access to our HBO and Netflicks accounts. Internet connection was fine in the condo. The couch folds out into a 2nd bed. Small patio was pleasant for evening meals and lounging to catch the afternoon sun.
We enjoyed the location - walking across the road to the beautiful beach, and 5 minutes to shops and restaurants in north Kihei or south at Wailea. One house key chain has FoodLion discount card attached - go shopping after you check-in.
In all - this was a perfect place to stay - we would absolutely recommend it to our family and friends, and will look for it again when we return to Maui. Thank you for making this so very easy and relaxing Ted - nicely done!

Our stay in Ted's appartement was fabulous ! It was our first stay in maui. The condo was super well equipped for daily picnics and beach hikes. Our kids hat a lot of fun with all the beach toys. No need to buy anything ! We Also visited all the Island from the condo. No need to stay at différent places!
The resort was wunderful. A minute walk to the pool which is a great party place for families every day! A 3 minute walk to the beach where on calm days We did great snorkeling with turtles and plenty of fish!
We Will surely be back in this great place.

We loved out visit while staying at this condo! Steps from the beach and the pool, very conveniently locate in the complex. We checked out a few beaches but actually thought the one here was perfect with the small wave sizes and the turtle seen daily in the water! The grounds were very nice and it was an overall quiet complex. Also conveniently located walking distance to some shops and restaurants. We would absolutely stay here again, and hopefully we will!

we absolutely loved this condo! super clean and was stocked well! lots of space and the beach toys, chairs and wagon made walking to the beach super easy. the pool was really nice and clean. this condo is in a prime location, we were able to walk to lots of resturants and shopping. all of the beaches close to the condo were amazing! we seen turtles everyday! My visit to the condo in May exceeded all expectations! The location was perfect, so close to the beach for morning walks and romantic sunsets. Close markets and the fully equipped kitchen made it so easy to take advantage of the BBQ pits on the property. The condo itself was very clean and modern, lots of space and a very comfy bed! We're definitely coming back!!

My wife and I have stayed here on two occasions and will be back again next year. The condo is perfectly situated within the Kamaole Sands Resort to be near the pool but far enough away to not be too loud. While the pool is very nice, we found ourselves at the beach more often. It's a two minute walk to one of the best boogie boarding beaches in the world and the sunsets are breathtakingly beautiful. The condo itself is freshly remodeled with every amenity and makes a comfortable home base. Highly recommended for travelers of all kinds!
