Overall a nice place. My only issue is that the only upgrade was to the kitchen which was very nice as in photos. The home smelled a little musty as if it had been closed up for a long time or there had been water damage. Once we aired it out it seemed fine. The electrical is original and there are several extension cords all over which would be unsafe for children. I wanted to point this out for others that rely on honest reviews.

Check in experience was not great. When we arrived to our rental at 01:00, the door code we were provided did not work. I am a Canadian resident, and I had to turn on my roaming in order to call and get a new key code, this was quite disappointing.Other than this unfortunate mishap, the stay was lovely. The rental itself was clean and had everything we needed, and the property and the amenities were great. Would recommend Kamaole Sands, and would look into booking again in the future.

Property was in a great location across from Kameole III beach. Nicely equipped with most everything you need. We did add a few things that we commonly use including a couple of chair cushions for the bar stools.
There is some noise for the elevators outside the unit, but overall it was a great place.
We had an issue with the bedroom AC unit not working properly. The management company was quick to respond and the unit was replaced the next day. It wasn't any quieter, portable AC units never are, but it did cool down the bedroom nicely.
The renovated kitchen was lovely and the master bathroom reno was nice. Unfortunately the second bathroom did not get renovated which was a shame. The shower in the second bathroom would greatly benefit from a redo.

Stayed 5 days in 10-111 has an amazing garden view with a partial ocean view. Outdoor furniture is very comfortable on an huge covered patio. The property complex itself stunning and kept in pristine condition. A parking space is provided and near the unit. It tastefully decorated and has an abundance of things to bring to the beach across the street. Did not need to use the AC as it was very breezy with good airflow. However this place needs a VERY deep clean. Surfaces like doors, cupboards, baseboards floor corners are grimy. Inside of drawers were dirty as was the dishwasher. Drapery is in need of a dry clean. Bathtub is disgusting. Bathroom towels are soft, floor mats worn. Bed is comfortable and sheets/pillows are very nice. Bedrooms in this complex face the hallway and being on the main floor right across from the main elevators it is very noisy. With blinds open there is no privacy. If you want a good sleep bring earplugs. With the huge increase in rental prices, cleaning and administration fees one would expect more.

Excellent vacation spot. Condo was located with close and easy access to Kamaole Beach III, with a beautiful view of the ocean and the fountains. We loved this location and would stay again but the property needs some upgrading to reflect the huge jump in price. Bathrooms need updating, carpeting should be replaced and kitchen could use upgrades as well. Dishwasher is very noisy. Condo says it sleeps 4 but the hide-abed couch is impossible to sleep on - you feel bars, so no comfortable sleep there if you have additional people. The bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable but you have to keep in mind that this unit is right beside the elevators - so you hear everyone coming and going when you are trying to sleep. But the location of this condo is great and with a little upgrading it would be perfect.

A few days into our original itinerary in Hawaii, we realized it would be too short so we quickly looked at VRBO for another condo in order to extend our vacation.
This was the perfect location, great layout, beautiful grounds and lovely view from the ground floor lanai.
Exactly what we needed for a few extra days in the Sun!! Thank you!!

This unit is in a great spot! You can see the sunset from the private porch, semi ocean view, beautiful view and easy access to the resort garden/pond. Parking is very close, this unit Is literally a walk away from kamole 3 beach which is one of the best strips of beaches on Maui. All the pros outweigh the minor cons. The unit is a outdated but is on par with other kihei rentals. The unit is clean, with internet, full cable, 2 big screen tvs. The pullout bed is lumpy but it’s “alright”. The bed is comfy, air mattress in the closet with with extra sheets, etc. Portable AC in bedroom, AC also in livingroom, ceiling fans and portable fans also. Bedroom is by the elevator but AC/fan drowns out noise, hardly noisy at this family resort anyway. I would stay here again, best value for small family

We picked this property because of the location in building 1 and it being a ground floor level. The lanai is huge and my family of 4 ate supper most nights there. The condo was fairly clean just needed a few updates.

Check in was easy, pool and hot tubs were great. Parking is kind of tight. We had landscaping on one side made it hard to get out of car.
Our room was right outside the elevator so coming and going people could be nosy till about 11 pm. Even though quiet hours are at 10.pm.
Overall it was nice and we would stay again.

You get what you pay for. This place is old and very used. Not dirty but definitely not clean. The glass door in both the ensuite AND the main bath was dirty and had mildew and the tub was patched because of age. I found a tic tac on the carpet when we arrived. There was no ice cube tray’s which is annoying. The air conditioner in the living room sounded like a truck engine and the front of it fell off when we touched it. It was so loud we couldn’t run it and sleep in the room. The hide-a-bed was extremely uncomfortable. My 12 year old daughter could not even sleep on it and she is tiny.
So, it was fine, but not great. I would not recommend it. Keep looking at the sands resort as it was amazing! Just not this place.

Easy check-in and great property. Very close to beautiful park & beach. Unit in need of updating. Master shower door falling off, called maintenance but issue was not fixed. WIFI was very poor. Great property if your there to sleep and walk the area. Pool was nice.

We thoroughly appreciate and enjoyed all the amenities that Kamaole Sands provides. Centrally located across the street from Kamaole Beach #2. The grounds, BBQ areas and pool area are meticulously maintained. Unfortunately the condo unit was extremely dated and in need of repairs. Having said that, we would have rebooked for next year solely because of the location. We didn't rebook because the rate almost doubled.

Wonderful location. Have stayed many times at Kamaole Sands, this condo, by far was in the poorest condition of any in which we have stayed. Condo is long overdue for a renovation. Save appliances, kitchen is original. Bed cover smelled badly.

Love this place. It was perfect for the 2 of us. We had a great view of the ocean and beautiful fountains. The condo itself was a little outdated, but it was comfortable. We did not come to Maui to sit inside. The pool was not our jam, a lot of children. Would of enoyed an adult only pool, but not a priority. The beach was right across the street. Would definatley recommend.

The unit itself was a little older than expected, and we did have a leaky sink to deal with on day 1. But it was handled quickly and kindly. Perfect location right across from the beach. The hot tub was nice to have access to as well. Would definitely stay here again.

The Kamaole Sands #10-111 turned out to be one of the best choices made during our stay in Maui. Even though there were 4 adults, the location and amenities made staying here very enjoyable. With a view facing sunset/ocean and a quick walk to a small beach, we had everything great time here. The checkin/checkout details were extremely clear and easy to follow. There were items (beach chairs, air mattress, coolers, snorkel, umbrella), either left by other guests or from the owner, that saved us time and money from renting. I would recommend.

It was a great experience staying at this property. Everything one could ask for from fins, board was there. The location is right across the beach that has park for kids. It was great. The only suggestion would be to enable recycling and composting. The unit only had landfill option. The property didn’t have waste sorting option. It would be a great benefit to be environmentally responsible by having provision of additional waste streams.
Overall we had a great time.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. Check-in was easy, the location was great and convenient.
Everything was clean and very comfortable.
We left a few items in the unit unfortunately- we were in a rush to leave to be able to make it to a prior engagement- but was able to communicate consistently and they were a great help in getting our left items. We apologized profusely but they always were helpful and understanding.
I would recommend to anyone who is going to Maui.

The property is in the center of South Kihei.. very close to the SHOPs at Wailea, a high end shopping center. The property is beach front which is very convenient and has three access point, two of which are gated and you're provided with access code. You have your own parking space. It is 5 minute drive to most fastfoods, Safeway, Longs where you can buy your needed stuff. Concierge is very helpful on setting up activities.... we had 4 activities set up and we were pleased we did so. If you set up a Luau, choose the one in Grand Wailea. The room is clean and most of what you need is provided. Bed is very confy..no airconditioning only ceiling fan in the room but the air conditioning from the living room is good enough.
The housekeeping could have sprayed some Lysol or Glade in the room closet where they keep their towels because it smelled like it was not opened for months. We had issue with the TV in the living room, its an old Westinghouse TV and the remote is not sync with Youtube/Netflex. After watching Youtube, it froze and we can't go back to the TV/Cable. Good thing there's a Samsung TV in the bedroom to follow Hurricane Flossie. Thankful for the chairs and the beach umbrella in the closet. We love the kitchen allowing us to cook our fav dish while on vacation.. Over all we enjoyed our stay and wished could have stayed more.
