We absolutely loved our stay at this location! It is one of my favorite spots on Kauai. The condo is stocked with everything you need - including snorkeling gear! We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here and it was perfect! The view was incredible. The sunset was right out of the patio on the right. The location was perfect for walking to the stores. There were beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and snorkel gear available. Thank you!

Kuhio Shores is a dream. It is absolute paradise and the perfect place for my husband and I to honeymoon. The condo is adorable, clean, and was well stocked with beach related items. The lanai was our favorite part and where we started and ended each day. We were able to see many turtles and dolphins in the mornings. If you’re looking to snorkel, this is also the perfect place to stay as the best snorkeling spot (in our opinion) on the island is just a short walk away to lawai beach.

We enjoyed our stay at Tyler's condo at Kuhio Shores. The beach equipment was great and my son enjoyed the guitar. We spent a lot of time on the patio, both day and night.
The A/C was great to have in the bedroom and we moved the tower fan to the bathroom when we took showers for more airflow.
My son said that as soon as he walked in, he knew it was going to be a great week. (and it was!)

This ground floor condo is in a great spot, and treated us to a real show out the sliding glass door: beautiful water, an active surf break, and sea turtles galore. Incredibly short walk to Lawai Beach next door to the west with great snorkeling, and several other lovely beaches within minutes on foot or by car. There's shopping and dining nearby within a short walk or car ride as well.
Keypad entry made coming and going easy and didn't put us at risk of losing the keys at the beach. The place was clean on arrival, and the expectations for how you leave it are totally reasonable as well. There are some minor fit and finish issues here and there around the unit as one would expect in a lived-in home; to be clear, this didn't bother me in the slightest given the great value for the location and amenities, just something I noticed.
We had everything we needed close at hand to cook, and made good use of the chairs, snorkel gear and beach towels. There's not a big grocery store super close, so if you're planning on eating in or packing lunches, consider stopping for groceries on the way from the airport; that said, there's smaller markets nearby for convenience. On that note, there's no pantry per-se, but we just used the top of the fridge and one end of the counter and got by just fine, and we cooked quite a bit.
Overall the 5-star ratings are well deserved. Nowhere is going to be all things to all people, but this came pretty close to perfect for the two of us! Thanks!

This was a beautiful property with everything you need. The hosts were very accommodating and provided us with a full length mirror and champagne glasses that we requested. Location was really good. Our favourite part was the patio with the ocean front view. It was super quiet and relaxing.
The only downfall for this property is that there is only AC in the bedroom and not in the main living space. But otherwise, I would definitely stay here again.

The view from this property is absolutely spectacular! We were disappointed in the fact it was not as clean as it should have been and there is mildew on the outdoor furniture which made it unusable. The towels were very thin and the sheets had holes in them.

The property is lovely, even better than we had hoped. Everything is beautifully decorated and there are lots of amenities in the unit. It also has a closet full of beach gear that you can borrow (chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, etc). This was our second time in Kaua'i, and this condo was a great spot, right on the water. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular from the porch, which is has a love seat and small table and chairs, and, we enjoyed many happy hour sunsets there. The condo has comfortable bed, bathroom and shower with excellent water pressure, fully equipped kitchen and a sofa as well as two excellent chairs for reading. Tyler is very easy to work with and helpful. We'll be back!

The communication with Tyler was amazing. He answered all the questions we had. Tyler’s place is exactly as described. It was clean and very comfortable. The view is amazing, you can see the sunrise in the morning and the sunsets at night are stunning. The kitchen comes with everything you need, and there are bbq’s a short walk from the condo, which we used nightly!!!
The bed is super comfortable and makes for a great nights sleep! There is air conditioning in the bedroom, but I will warn you it’s loud, as it drains, scared the crap out of us the first night! The beaches are close, and there’s a lot of them, so you have your pick. The spouting horn is just up the road, definitely check it out! If you up for a early morning run, it’s safe to run on the road, and from the condo, past the spouting horn to the dead end road and back is 6km’s and you will sweat at 7am!!!
There are beach chairs and an umbrella in the closet, along with snorkel gear, but no cooler, so we just went to the abc and bought a soft one for the beach ($15). There are ice packs in the freezer (awesome)!!
We would definitely recommend Tyler’s place, and we would definitely stay here again!!! Thanks Tyler for making the start of our trip awesome!!!!

Hesitant to review because I want to keep this gem to myself but what a spectacular apartment right on the water with views of the amazing sunset. Our baby loved playing on the lawn while we sat on the lanai and watched surfers in the morning. Short distance from everything you may want to see on the South Island and relatively quick to get all around the island otherwise. We loved coming back here after our daily adventures to unwind. Modern decor with surfer vibes, all beach necessities provided (chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, beach toys, boogie board). Will definitely recommend and use this apartment again when we return. Wonderful comfortable oceanside location facing south so you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset while still having a shaded patio. Snorkel gear was in great shape plus beach chairs, cooler, and beach towels. Binoculars were a great addition to watch the surfers and sea turtles and boats close up. Everything was easy and Tyler texted us soon after our arrival to make sure we were all set.

The location, proximity to the water, layout, furnishing, and decor of this place were absolutely wonderful. Hearing the waves every night with the windows propped open. The AC in the master bedroom made sleeping every night super comfortable and being just 20 ft from the water was perfect. Surfers jump in at the edge of the rocks and you can watch the sunrise and sunset without even leaving the patio area. Really just a great place.

Nothing is better than waking up and falling asleep steps from the ocean. It truly doesn’t get better than this. I’ve traveled all around the world and stayed in many places …. Trust me when I say, book it. It literally feels like the ocean is part of your living room and some of the best snorkeling is just steps away. We will be back as 8 nights was just not enough.

My husband and I recently stayed at this property and I can't BEGIN to tell you how amazing it is. The view is spectacular - we watched the surfers and turles everyday for hours! The house has a little lanai and is equipped with an outdoor table /chairs and beach chairs to watch the sunset while you dine or sip a glass of wine. Or you can walk (literally steps) to a beautiful restaurant called the The Beach House.
The condo was spotlessly clean, provided everything you needed for a lovely trip - like snorkel stuff, beach towels etc. and the host was a pleasure to deal with.
The condo is perfect for a romantic trip for two. It would be fine for families with small kids, but I wouldn't recommend 4 adults - it would be a bit tight!
We could have stayed for much longer and will ONLY stay here if we come back. Thank you Tyler for a truly memorable trip!

If I could give this 100 stars I would. I don't think it is possible to find a better unit in Kauai. The condo is spotless and perfect. Total attention to detail, from the decorating to the items needed for your stay. Wall to wall windows with a stunning view. You will not want to get out of the waterfall shower other than wanting to get out and see the awesome views. To hear the waves crash on the rocks 24/7 is amazing. You can snorkel with the turtles right off the unit because you are literally 15 steps from the water. I would recommend an under water camera because there are tons of turtles and beautiful fish. Drinking coffee while watching the surfers, waves, turtles, and then beautiful rainbows...what else can you ask for? We went to Oahu to get married and then to Kauai for our honeymoon.

I am feeling conflicted writing this review, because I want to keep this place as much of a secret as possible. But I do know the right thing to do is to tell everybody how amazing this place truly is. Starting with the property manager Tyler, being so easy to get a hold of, talk to, ask questions or just gain knowledge about the area. Tyler made the check in process so easy and his knowledge of the area was super helpful. Most of the other units I noticed were outdated in style and furniture. Not this unit. Very modern and up to date. The bed is super super comfortable and for once I liked a bed more then my own at home. What really sets this place apart above anywhere else on the island is that I truly believe the location is better than anything else you’ll see. Right outside of your patio door is one of the best local surf spots on the island. This break has surfers on it from sunrise to sunset and it truly is an awesome place to surf or just watch. Along with the surf is a teaming amount of fish and other wildlife in the ocean just in front of the condo. Every morning I would snorkel right off the patio and be surrounded by multiple turtles and tropical fish. Along with all of this to top it off is the sunset view. People pay money nightly to go to the Beach House restaurant next door to have drinks and watch the sunset. Nothing beats having your own drinks on your own private lanai and watching the sunset with your significant other. Unreal the views you get from here. You are also centrally located to many very good local restaurants in the area as well as shops and grocery stores. I could seriously go on and on and on about this place. I’m not exaggerating when I say we fell in love with unit 116 and hope to save up and come back to Kauai and stay here again one day.

We had a great week long stay with our 2 year old and 5 month old. We would definitely return. Being so close to the ocean helped when we had to go back to the condo for naps, made us feel like we were not missing out on vacay time while the kids were asleep. Had we been in a hotel or something it would have been a drag. Lots of sea turtles in the ocean and The Beach House is within a few yards and they have awesome happy hour everyday with live music which our son loved. Tyler was very helpful and responsive before our arrival and during our stay.

We had a great stay at Tyler's place. Everything was as advertised. Well-stocked kitchen and a closet full of handy beach gear (chairs, coolers, snorkels, and more).
You couldn't be closer to the ocean, which is both good and bad. If you're looking for privacy, having your neighbors walking around right outside your back window might be a little off-putting. We got used to it and found it a fair trade for the unreal sea turtle watching. I was doing dishes one day, and swear I saw a turtle waving at me from inside a wave.
And if you like surfing, you can be in the water in less than 60 seconds out the back door. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall, great place for the cost. Beautiful sunset views and right around the corner from The Beach House and Lawaii beach which has some amazing snorkeling. New kitchen and bathroom were beautiful. My only complaints would be that the AC in the bedroom doesn’t do much for the rest of the unit and it’s south facing so it would get quite warm. There was also some loud noises when neighbors would use the plumbing. Also worth noting that the laundry isn’t in the unit - shared coin operated which we still sued without any problem Otherwise, great little place to spend some time in Kauai with beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. Would recommend!
