The location was outstanding. Right next to the crashing waves and great viewing point from which to watch the surfers. We saw many, many sea turtles in the water just beyond the rocks. Every day they were there. The sunrise and sunsets were fabulous. Our host was kind enough to provide us with a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. We were able to take it with us to the Beach House restaurant to have with our anniversary meal.

This was our first VRBO experience, we usually stay at the Hyatt Poipu but the rates were $1,000+, I found this unit on VRBO and the views had me sold immediately. They did not disappoint in fact the location and views cannot be topped, the surf was up so we had a fantastic vantage point to great surfing and in October the sunset is visible here, unreal every night. As a bonus the Beach House restaurant is next door. The unit itself had everything you need and for me who runs hot, the AC was cold, our next stop had a terrible AC setup. The whole experience was exceptional, hope to stay here again for sure.

The location of this property can’t be beat. Perfect views of both the sunrises and sunsets! Steps away from the water’s edge and views of the surfers almost all day long.
There isn’t a beach here but the view from the lanai is more than worth it.

What can I say? Zero complaints or issues! I would hope all my friends would stay here rather than any other condo on Kauai. Ron was very easy to communicate with. It was just an amazing place to stay! The sunset was right in front of our porch!!! It was stunning. Really just the perfect place to stay. Unfortunately no pool at the condo but a membership to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club came with the condo which was 1 mile from condo and it was an amazing club/gym with a beautiful pool and everything else that can come with an athletic club.

Ron was the perfect host, quick to respond and answer any questions we had. The bottle of chilled Champane was very thoughtful welcome gift.The unit was very nice and well equipped. The furniture and beds were well maintained and comfortable. We've stayed at Kuhio Shores several times before and the complex has always been well maintained and clean. The views here are some of the best on the South shore. 10 steps from the ground floor lanai and your standing in front of the ocean. Lots of sea turtles, surfers and gorgeous sunsets every day. Can't wait to return, we would stay in this unit again without hesitation.

Location, location, location! We loved our visit to #118 in ocean front Kuhio Shores Condominiums (right next to Beach House Restaurant). Ground level unit with patio walks out to soft lawn and ocean front views- great for watching surfers and boogie boarders and taking in gorgeous sunsets. Plenty of beach equipment provided- 4 chairs & boogie boards, 3 size coolers, umbrella. One minute walk to Lawaii Beach for snorkeling, close drive to other best beaches in Poipu. Very responsive and friendly host. Our second trip to Kuhio Shores- we needed second bedroom this time. Would definitely stay here again! Mahalo

This is a very nice unit. It was very comfortable and clean. Our favorite part was the amazing view! We could sit out on the patio and enjoy the ocean view. The sunsets were stunning!

We stayed here with our 10 and 7-year-old boys over the New Year's holiday. It is a jaw-dropping view when you walk in and open the shades! The sliding glass door is literally yards away from the breaking ocean waves. The sound is soothing and the views are incredible. We were able to spot whales most days off the balcony. Ron had some champagne chilling in the fridge for us when we got there.
This time of year we could see the sunrise AND sunset from the balcony. Given the southern-facing view, it does get a bit hot on the back patio, so if you can bring some shade or put up an umbrella I would recommend that. Mornings and evenings, however, are lovely. The condo is within walking distance of the Beach House restaurant which was so-so. Very overpriced food and drinks for what you get, so I wouldn't use this as a reason to book here. Why pay that money when you can cook a fabulous dinner in his kitchen and enjoy your own cocktails and wine on the lanai.
There are tide pools and lava rocks for kids to climb on just off the grassy knoll. There are a couple of small beaches to walk to nearby. One in front of the beach house restaurant, and another called Baby beach, a quick 5-minute walk away.
This unit came stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, and coolers. There was a beach towel for each of us and a few random beach items in the closet, along with an ice pack for the coolers.
There are 4 coin-op laundry rooms on property, so make sure to stop by the store and grab detergent and quarters to wash clothes, beach towels, and kitchen towels.
We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again! Thank you Ron

Thank you Ron for an incredible stay at your beautiful condo! We enjoyed 9 nights at this ocean front retreat and had the best time. It has beautiful, expansive and unobstructed views of the ocean - exactly what you come to Kauai to see! Condo is well stocked, very comfortable beds and furnishings and nice updates. Great location and easy to get to area attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to go back - truly a piece of paradise! Loved the location ! My toddler loves running out onto the grass on those early morning wakings.
It was a pretty quiet building which was nice, the restaurant beside ( the beach club ) was always wrapping events up at 9 pm which was very nice.
Two things that I very much didn’t like. The doors to bathroom, and bedrooms were open shutter style so you could hear everything happening in those said rooms. Not a plus if your travelling with any other guests.
Second , and my husband and I tried our best to see where this sound was coming from, but the air conditioner from the upstairs unit every 59 seconds would make a loud enough gurgle that cause us to have quite interrupted sleeps.
This sound only seem to come on during the night in our 6 night stay.
Other than those two things the suite was totally equipped with everything we needed and more! Sand play toys for baby, pack and play , board games, coffee maker, and lounge chairs.
Those were our most used !

Our family really enjoyed our week stay at Ron's condo. The view was absolutely amazing, next door to the Beach House Restaurant. The condo was cleaned, fully stocked, and organized. We spent many hours on the patio enjoying the view and listening to the waves. Check-in was a breeze. Ron emailed us instructions, tips, suggestions prior to our trip.

Our time in Kauai was better when we stayed at Ron’s condo. The place was super clean, cozy and felt like home while, at the same time, the amazing view—the ocean, the sunrises and sunsets, and the surfers zipping through the waves—kept up our vacation vibe. There are so many fun things to see and do within walking distance, including a restaurant right next door with amazing food and even better cocktails, a shaved ice place across the street, and places nearby to rent snorkels, fins and similar equipment. We would stay here again in a minute and, in fact, hope to do so soon. The rental process was super easy and Ron was thorough and friendly.

The pictures do not do the view justice! We so loved our time here, was so hard to leave. The sunrise and sunsets were unbelievable. The condo itself had everything we needed. Kitchen was great and we loved cooking with the view.

The best view! You are right on the ocean with amazing views from every window. We saw whales almost every day (mid March) just off the shore and also seals and turtles. Snorkeling off Lawai beach is a simple walk out the back door. Ron’s place is well equipped with boogie boards, beach chairs, and plenty of kitchen wares including a ninja blender for smoothies or frozen drinks. We will be back!!

We had an excellent stay in this condo with family. This was our first time to Kauai and traveling with and infant. Ron’s Condo came already equipped with a pack n play, baby pool and sands toys which was very convenient for our family. It is located at some of the best snorkeling and surfing on the south side of the island. Everyday we could see whales, sea turtles, surfers and the most amazing sunsets right from the porch. Ron was very responsive to questions and very professional. Thank you Ron for the wonderful stay!

The location was great! Beautiful sunset, close to the water, and restaurant. Great lawn area which was great to have a picnic right outside the unit. You can see and hear the waves.
Only thing is the parking, there was a couple of cars double parked and we had to park in the no parking zone one night. Security was notified and the owner had to speak to the association about it.
Overall, it’s a great location and great response from the owner.

The property is on the ground floor right on the ocean so the views were breathtaking. The kitchen was fully functional which helped with breakfast and lunch. Beach chairs and umbrellas were available for use on the beach. The kitchen table and chairs weren't the most comfortable for use in playing games/cards. The doors to the bedrooms and bathroom are louvered so there was very little privacy.

The views are amazing and being able to walk right outside is truly what sets this place apart.
The location is great. We found shops, coffee, and so many food options within 5 minute drives. It's a great starting point to tour around the island.
The only thing that could be a drawback for some is the lack of privacy. There are always people walking by the back and most will look in. Personally, we didn't mind it too much as we just loved having the shades open and taking in the view of the ocean - but can see how some my be bothered by it.
Sunsets will always draw a crowd right behind the condo, but they're amazing to take in from the lanai or even out on the grass.
In the end - if we are back in Kaua'i we are 1000% booking this condo again!

My husband and I loved every minute of our stay here. Such a beautiful home with incredible views. We snorkelled at the beach nearby, watched whales and sea turtles from the patio, gorgeous sunrise and sunsets, and enjoyed using the community bbq where we met a few other wonderful couples who own condos here.
We did not want to leave and we cannot wait to come back to the island!

The condo is beautifully maintained and well stocked with everything that you will need. The views are spectacular - the surround-windows draw the beautiful lawn, lava rocks, and ocean right to you - even inside! The location is perfect. You will enjoy watching a bride and groom having their pictures taken on the lava rocks just outside if you come during a weekend. So fun! Everyone we met was happy and friendly. It was fun to watch the surfers, snorkelers, and the net fishermen through the condo windows and on our patio. The surf is just that close! Overall, this is a perfect location and a wonderful property.

I found the property to be exactly as advertised. It was clean. the beds were comfy and the property owner is a delight to work with. The view is amazing with views of both sunrises and sunsets. Saw turtles and whales right from the patio which is always a treat. The purpose of my holiday to the island was to do not much of anything. Ron's condo allowed me to do just that. It was well stocked and if you are in Kauai for the view, this condo does not disappoint. The grounds are incredibly well maintained. Staff were out daily keeping the grounds looking perfect but not so much they were intrusive to the zen of the day. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a fabulous location for your stay on the south side of the island. This condo is well appointed and has all of the amenities you need for a beautiful ocean front stay on Kauai.
We chose this location because of the proximity to the wedding venue next-door. The property owner, Ron, was very positive about the location and the venue. I appreciated the personal engagement he demonstrated.
Ron was highly communicative and flexible.

We absolutely loved our stay! Everything was clean, organized, and comfortable. We were steps away from 3 great surfing breaks and there were sea turtles right outside every day. Wonderful stay at a picture perfect property with the Pacific waves constantly rolling in amidst vibrant sunsets! Ron’s condo was around the corner from awesome snorkeling @ Lawai beach, and convenient to restaurants & shops in Koloa many of which we walked to. For things further away we rode electric tandems, which was great w/Kauai’s weather:)! Awesome stay- would definitely come again!

We had a wonderful stay at Ron's condo and will absolutely stay there again when back on the South Shore. Being right on the ocean with windows looking out over the waves was amazing! We loved watching the surfers & sunsets from the condo and walking out our door to some of the best snorkeling in Kauai! We loaded up our rental car with the beach chairs, cooler and boogie boards that Ron provided and explored the nearby beaches and hikes. The condo was equipped with everything we needed to cook, play and relax! Our family of 4 gave our stay a 10 out of 10! Highly recommend!

Can't say enough about this great property. It was immaculate, very well equipped, and much better than even the pictures portrayed! We loved watching the surfers right from out patio, and there was excellent snorkeling next door at Lawai Beach. We saw probably 30-40 different fish and lots of turtles! We will never forget our stay here!

We came to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. The t was our first trip since COVID and the flight getting in was pretty tough... After all of that, arriving at this place was more than I could have hoped for. We sister spent her honeymoon here years ago and she recommended we stay here, so I cancelled our hotel and went for it... It was beautiful, clean, right on the water and exactly what we needed. The kitchen is stocked with all utensils (nice brands too... by the way!), so stop at Costco and get what you need. Beds are comfortable and he even leaves you with towels, beach chairs, games, sunscreen, etc. We had everything we needed to adventure all over the island.
I also mentioned it was my boyfriends birthday ahead of time and there was champagne ready and chilled in the fridge. So sweet.
I’m so grateful for this trip. Thank you Ron! And your tribute to your brother is truly what makes this place special!
