This kitchen was fantastic in terms of usage -- pots, pans, bowls, utensils, it had it all. I only wish it had been clean in the unit. When we went to get a pillow and blanket out of the closet, sand spilled out all over the floor. Every time we sat on the chair, sand went everywhere like it had not been vacuumed at all. The master bed had a hole in the sheet right in the middle of the bed, and the blankets felt dirty and like they had been used. Overall, our stay felt dirty and disappointing. The location was fantastic, but overall a negative experience.

Staff was hopeless. No restaurant, no store, on amenities. Coffee machine didn't work. Main shower only worked on full hot. Condo itself was clean and adequate. 3 stars

We have stayed at the Mana Kai many times in different condos. We love it there. This is the first time that we had an uninvited guest- termites! They were in lots of the cabinets and one of the chairs in the living room. Gross! Maintenance was called and they sent out someone to “fix” the issue, but trying to seal up any holes or seams really doesn’t do much when the termites just eat more wood and create new holes. This wasn’t the first time this unit had been serviced either we found out- what poor management.
The good: the Mana Kai is wonderful. The location is perfect, and in general the condos are great. We love having a kitchen and so much space. Keawakapu Beach is gorgeous, and Kihei is the best.
The annoying: this was the first time we didn’t have beach toys, umbrella, snorkel gear, blackout curtains, or a drying rack in our unit. While none of this stuff is required, it does add a lot when you’re at the beach! We also weren’t given a new sponge or hand soap. Yes, we got those crappy hotel bar soaps, but they felt woefully inadequate during a pandemic.
The bad: the termites really put a damper on the whole place. It was just gross to see the droppings keep reappearing, and we saw a few live ones too. Ugh!
To be fair, Vacasa has offered some compensation. However, I hate to think that this issue will keep going unaddressed in this unit. It’s really disgusting.

You need to speak with the cleaning staff. The Lanai really needed cleaning & clearly had not be cleaned at all. Now in their defense I know how dusty Maui is with the trades, but after our feet immediately got black & tracking it into the condo I had to mop the lanai, wipe the lanai railings & furniture. It was filthy.
Then it was clear the cleaner barely swept the floor of the condo as I found food & lots of sand under the island stools and in the living area. We swept and cleaned the interior floor.
You say "Why didn't you call us?" After having to wait from 9am to 4pm check-in we shouldn't have to schedule a cleaner to come and disturb us at that time, so we cleaned it ourselves.

This is an excellent location but the neighbors complain any little noise. I believe they are owners. This was a girls family trip for my 60th. We sang, danced, laughed but most of the time were in bed by 9pm, and never made noise after 10. First night we got a noise complaint at 7:30pm! Second night someone claimed we were smoking. We all smelt it too but no one in my party smoked. We did not complain. Everyone is on vacation. A lot of grumpy old people in this condo. If you plan to be at all loud you may want to look elsewhere. The location is amazing. And we loved RJ in the bar.

This unit did not have a private washer and dryer. And the fitness facility was closed due to COVID - which I understand but it should state that in the listing. All the linens were soiled upon our arrival and VRBO did a poor job making sure we received new ones. There were also liquid spills on the tile that easily could have been cleaned prior to our arrival.
Location and view is beautiful but disappointed in the cleanliness and inaccurate website description.

Mana Kai resort 706 is a fantastic place to stay in Kihei. The detailed listing matched the property to the T!!!! Fully equipped unit (full kitchen even though we didn’t cook 😄) with a great great great ocean view. Super easy access to the beach which is only steps away from the lobby. Easy access to plenty of shops down the street within 3 or so miles.
The beach has at least a 2 mile round trip walk/run, sand great and water fairly calmer than most I think. Not crowded at all. I would definitely recommend and myself come back to this property.

We have stayed at the Mana Kai before. The view is amazing. This unit was clean and well equipped. We will definitely consider staying here again!

Can`t say enough about this place. We utilized every bit of a mile-plus walking beach, running path through the nearby resorts and west-facing views of gorgeous sunsets all from this amazing place. Access to a grocery store, beach equipment rental and a great restaurant were just a elevator ride away in the ground floor. Plus this is about a mile easy walk from the city shopping center. All in all, one of the best vacation homes that we stayed at.

Property was as described and matched photos provided. I rented out the entire unit, but it is designed that it may be rented out as 2 one bedrooms (one as more of a studio with living space and kitchen and one as more of a regular hotel room with en suite bathroom). The unit was clean and there was a package of chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies as a welcome gift upon arrival. The use of an electronic keypad = easy check-in. We brought our own, but we noticed that shampoo and body wash were available in both bathrooms.
