Excellent location with great views of "turtle cove." Sunrise views can be wonderful (weather permitting). The condo is basic but the location makes it worthwhile. It would be helpful if the patio screen would lock. We had problems getting into the condo using the long numerical code. Would prefer to be given the 4-digit lock box code to get the key.

Fantastic location and right next to the water! Very nice condo for 2 in a quiet building on a bay that has lots of fish and turtles. Lots of restaurants and beaches nearby.

The room met our expectations. The location was great. We could watch turtles feeding in the water nearby. Around the corner we rented snorkeling equipment and couldn't believe all the beautiful we saw right there on the far side of the building. Surfers were always fun to watch while we were waiting for the sun to set. Then at sunset thousands of large green parakeets came flying in to roost in the palm trees. In the morning we could walk 10 minutes to Living Foods for a latte and pastries. It's a great location.

Was a nice, clean unit in a beautiful location. For the price I paid, it was amazing.
If I had paid more, I would have been disappointed. As a previous reviewer noted, there are very loud plumbing noises. One is the ice maker (noise stopped when I turned it off). The other I *think* is upper units' plumbing vents through the kitchen sink so it sounds like a short toilet flushing.
It's not an ongoing noise, so someone will need to spend some time in the unit to experience it.
Stock up on kitchen essentials before you get there (salt, pepper, foil, etc.)
Don't forget to explore the rocks below during low tide, and watch the moon rise over the bay.

Truly oceanfront. The sound of the ocean is the most soothing! Turtles, breaching whales, lovely walking areas. This was our 5th stay at Kuhio Shores. We’ll stay here again, for certain!

Keypad was inconsistent in its use. Sometimes entry was relatively easy but frequently most challenging. The keypad kept locking us out.

We loved our stay in apartment 107. We especially loved the view of the bay the apartment is facing. The apartment is on the ground floor, so easy access. You can see turtles from your own terrace or from the couch. The terrace has the morning son, so it stays relatively cool during the day. If not, the airconditioners will take care of it. Everything is there, flippers, snorkels, blow dryers, you name it. We really valued the presence of enough hand soap, detergent and herbs to start with. Enough restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood to make our stay comfortable. But also a good size kitchen with everything in there to make your own meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mahalo

The unit was incredibly clean. Even though it doesn’t have central air, the two A/C units in the living room and bedroom kept the entire place cool.

We loved the view and having the water so close to the lanai. It was a great place for turtle watching as they fed off the lava rocks below the water. the condo is badly in need of some updating. Lighting in Kitchen was very poor. And the fridge needs to be replaced. It made loud popping noises all night and the icemaker is not working. The kitchen is well stocked but in need of a good wooden cutting board.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and mainly because of the location and view, we would stay there again.

The walk-out lanai was wonderful. This particular room gets shade on the lanai by mid-morning making it a great place to sit outside and enjoy the bay.

We loved the location. Ate almost every meal outside on the patio just watching the waves.
Yes there is air conditioning. It was a little noisy though. Washer and dryer are not in the unit and are coin operated which we didn't realize.
Overall, would definitely stay here again.

Be aware that your view of the water often has the public walking in front of your small patio, which also means closing shades for privacy. We also had workers snaking the drain in front of the patio, two times. Might be better to rent one of the condos above. Also, only one condo key available.

We definitely enjoyed the location and the view of this condo.
It was spacious and clean , the only thing that bothered us was , the walls might be thin or very less insulated , you can hear water going through pipes especially I am guessing if they flushed or took a shower in the condo above us , it gets little annoying at night , the sound is pretty loud and disturbing at times .
Other then that everything is good , I dont know of that problem can be fixed at all .

The condo was very functional and the kitchen was well equipped with cookware etc. A Keurig would have been nice as well as additional seating. The snorkel equipment was dated and the fins were not good. There was only one boogie board that was in poor condition and did not have a restraint. Beach chairs could use an update. Otherwise, the view was excellent and you can’t beat the first floor walkout to the beach front.

The condo at Kuhio Shores was fantastic! It was easy to find and get settled. The condo was well equipped with cooking supplies and beach items like towels, umbrella, snorkel gear, and coolers. The location was by far the best in Poipu. We will definitely be back!
