We are the family of Nancy Killips and stayed in unit 7-408. We have nothing to compare our trip to but my parents were in unit 10-205.We enjoyed our time in Kehei. The condo location was excellent. The unit was fairly well supplied. We did have a few concerns. The screen door to the deck was always going off the track( we reported this), the bathroom door knob on the upstairs bathroom came off as it was held on by only one screw( this was reported too) and the drapes on the deck doors couldn’t be opened properly as they were sewn together at the top.Other than these problems we enjoyed our time at Kamaole Sands!

We really enjoyed our stay. Unit was very clean and provided all the amenities needed. We did have an issue with the upstairs sink not draining. The property manager did send someone out quickly, but the handyman did not successfully unclog sink. Just a small inconvenience. Overall, very happy with unit.

Overall we had a nice stay in Kihei. The unit was well set up and amenities were nice. When we checked in, one of the beds had a bunch of sand in the sheets however, so we did a fair amount of running around to sort the issue. We were told to email the property manager but didn’t hear back until the next day, at which point we were told that it was our fault for not reaching out via a different channel. In the end, we didn’t let it impact our stay, but certainly could have received better communication.

We have been coming to Kam Sands for over 20 years and Rentals Maui was really nice to work with, everything fell into place as it should, we would definitely use them again and would not hesitate to recommend. This unit in building 7 is in a great location and had a good assortment of beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, etc. Overall it is a great condo, although the bathrooms are showing wear and in need of updating. Furniture in the living room was really nice, large TV with plenty of channel options. The kitchen with granite is very nice and we like the open concept, although it could use some silverware updating along with a better selection of containers with lids so that plastic wrap and foil are not needed so much. The lanai furniture was not the most comfortable, 2 small chairs and table and small loveseat. This is a beautiful spot and the tropical grounds looked better than we have ever seen! Thank you Rentals Maui for making this such a smooth trip, we can't think of staying anywhere else when we come to Maui!

Great place would stay again. Only complaint I had was with the the property manager. They appear to landscape from 8:00am - 5:00pm daily. The constant whine of the blowers was annoying, but it was Maui - We survived.

This was our second time staying at KS. We love the location, grounds and bbq areas. As for the complex, our teenagers (16, 17) were disappointed that they were turned away from the gym. Also know that security very strictly enforces quiet time at 10 pm and folks cannot linger at the picnic areas after that time. This particular suite is quite nice. Comfy beds, fluffy bath towels and a good blackout curtain to the lanai. It was very clean upon arrival but for some stains on the kitchen ceiling that had been missed. A few little improvements could make the suite even better: a new broom, new door mat, new beach towels (some were stained), more glassware (only one wine glass, three coffee cups) and a corkscrew. The wifi proved to be a challenge. In reading past reviews, I noticed at least one where there was a comment about the fridge freezer not always sealing properly and this remains the case. Would we return? Yes. Would we recommend this particular unit? Yes.

This was an awesome stay room #7-408! We were originally to stay in room 10-111, which was a dump that smelled, was rundown and dirty. I was very thankful they were able to accommodate us and switch rooms. We did have to pay extra, but was worth the switch.

Having stayed at numerous condos at Kamaole Sands, this unit is one of the better ones. Everything was as advertised and even better. Beautiful updated condo. Clean, comfy beds. Plenty of space for a family of 4. Nice location. Close to the BBQs and pool. Kam III is right across the street and one of our favourite beaches to go to first thing in the morning. Great place to call home while visiting Maui. We would definitely book again in the future. Only thing we would recommend is having more BBQ tools.

My family and I stayed in this condo for 2 weeks. It is nice and in a great area with a great pool. Some things were dirty upon arrival and some things could use an update but we were happy with the place. Could use a deep clean that goes beyond the daily wipe down. There was a lot of loose things on the walls that were falling off or barely hanging on. A large iron candle holder randomly came out of the wall and fell on our daughter as she walked by. Luckily she wasn’t hurt badly. Our biggest complaint is the AC. Do not stay here if you can’t sleep in an 83° room. The AC is old and dilapidated. It barely blows any air and is a complete deal breaker for us staying in this unit again. I hope upgrades will be made because the unit is quite nice and is worth the stay. Also the security at this complex followed us to our room early on in the stay instead of asking what unit we were in. It’s rude to assume someone is trespassing and was not a very nice feeling to have someone follow us like we were criminals. Overall we would recommend this condo to others but hope that some minor upgrades be made to make this unit comfortable.

I enjoyed renting this property. I noticed there were upgrades completed prior to my arrival. I was glad because after looking at the pictures a second time, I was reluctant to rent this unit. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly pleased with unit and I enjoyed my stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unit with our family of 6 (kids aged 8-18). The beach closet was well stocked with everything we needed for the beach (chairs, wagon, boogie boards, kids sand toys, snorkel gear, umbrellas). Location was awesome, just steps to the beach. The resort property was beautiful and well maintained. Barbecues were immaculate. Kitchen appeared to be well stocked, but we didn't cook all that much. There appear to be some updates since the pictures were taken: new couch, all flooring except bathrooms is now LVP. Only suggestion would be for a few more beach towels (we only found 3). Would stay in this unit again.

We’ve stayed in the complex for over 20 years. This wasn’t the best of all experiences. We came in and the two wall sconces on the wall were hanging by screws that had been pulled from the wall. For fear of being blamed for the the damage that we didn’t do, I called maintenance and they came and fixed them. That night I went to get in bed and there was at least a 3” hole in the fitted sheet in the loft. I didn’t understand why someone would continue making a bed with this whole knowing it was too large to be missed. The family members who slept down stairs thought they had bed bugs after waking 3 morning with small bumps on them. They washed all the bedding and never got more bumps. The wagon in the outdoor shed was great for taking this to the beach. Unfortunately, all (4) the chairs had the ‘backpack’ strap torn so the were not as easy to carry. The boogie boards were both missing the strap that attaches to your ankle while in the water. The kitchen was decently stocked, nothing spectacular. We were expecting a keurig and had to go back to the store to purchase the correct coffee. There were four mugs and four wine glasses. Needless to say we had to run the dishwasher everyday and that meant we had to purchase dishwasher tabs since we were left three. We had to purchase pepper as the one left was empty. We were excited to see a printer as we were working while on vacation but I think it was out of ink because after hours we couldn’t get it to print. Half way through the trip the door knob fell off the door on the middle of the night, woke everyone with the bang. And then the best... 3 nights before we leave a coach roach lands and runs across my husbands face as he was getting into bed. Didn’t feel it was the cleanliest and it was could use a deep cleaning and upgrade of amenities for guests.
