COVID CANCELLATION POLICY:
Guests that must cancel a trip due to COVID-19, whether the cancellation is government-mandated, airline related or because you’re prioritizing the health of your family and loved ones will receive a CREDIT for a future stay for the amount paid, less a $100 rebooking fee. The reservation must be rescheduled for a stay within 13 months of the original check- in date. Only guests canceling peak period reservations (December 18- March 31) may reschedule for a stay during those peak period dates.
As of this writing, the State of Hawaii requires visitors to have a COVID 19 test performed within 72 hours prior to travel to Hawaii with a negative result. It is the guest’s responsibility to get an approved test done and to present the appropriate paperwork to the authorities. Guests cannot quarantine at the Kihei Surfside. Guest(s) who test positive will qualify for a credit as per the policy above. If in doubt, it would be best to purchase travel interruption insurance. Unit #310 was extensively updated to a very high standard after the building renovation in 2015.
The unit has a beautiful, fully equipped kitchen with new: cabinetry, granite counter tops, Stainless Steel refrigerator, dishwasher, range, microwave and over the counter mood lighting. The living room has a computer desk with free 24/7 high speed internet, free long distance calling to the U.S. and Canada, and a brand new 55" Samsung smart TV, Cable box and DVD player. There is a security safe in the bedroom closet. There are multi-speed ceiling fans in both the living room and bedroom, if you feel the need.
The bedroom has a Cal King size mattress and brand new furniture! It too has a wall mounted HD TV! Top of the line brand new linens and towels are here for your comfort. Laundry facilities are available on site.
Because Kihei Surfside #310 is so close to the ocean, the views from the condo and the grounds are spectacular! Whale watching, while in season, can be done from both. Just beyond the property you see the ocean and the beautiful West Maui Mountains as well as the islands of Lanai, Kaho'olawe and Molokini.
The grounds at Kihei Surfside include expansive, meticulously kept lawn, with oodles of space for such activities as mini golf, bocce, and croquet to name a few. There are plenty of lounge chairs both on the lawn and in the oceanfront heated swimming pool area. There is not a better place to sit and soak up the true beauty of this Hawaiian paradise! The pool side deluxe barbeques are a great place to meet and mingle with fellow vacationers. It is also the place where Surfside residents gather for nightly ceremonies to worship the Hawaiian gods with conch blowing at sunset. There is an elevator in the building.
Did somebody mention the beach?
Kihei Surfside is located at the north end of Keawakapu Beach. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Maui. With its soft white sand and clear water it goes on for miles! There are many water activities to enjoy such as swimming, snorkeling, diving, and body surfing. It hardly ever rains here as it is the desert part of the island. The condo is equipped with beach chairs, umbrella, mats, towels and a cooler for your enjoyment. Some of the best snorkeling on Maui is just off the property.
World class golf courses in Wailea and Makena are only a short drive away as well as great shopping and dining. In fact there are two superb oceanfront restaurants only a short walk away. There is a deli/grocery store right across from our parking lot as well as a yoga studio.
You can rent cars at the airport in Kahului, just 20-25 minutes from Surfside or in Kihei town, just minutes down the road. Just a few minutes from the airport are Costco, Wal-Mart, Macys, and Sears. While closer to town there is Safeway, Long's and Foodland. Also in Kihei there are many fine restaurants, gift shops and a Farmers Market. Many boat excursions leave the boat ramp from right next door.
If you like to go for drives, there are many different choices. Historical Lahaina, beautiful Kaanapali beach, and the Hana Highway are scenic delights.
