Overall, it was very good. We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the shared pool, spa, barbeque and outdoor eating area. Our unit was well stocked but 2 of the beach chairs were broken and the carpet in the bedroom needed to be cleaned. Minor problems, there were 2 other beach chairs in good shape.

The ocean view is excellent from the condo. The sunset is just to the right over the corner of the building so walk across the street to get a full sunset view. Coffee in the morning from the deck overlooking the ocean! The condo was clean and well stocked if you want to cook in the condo. We chose this condo for location and price as our goal was not to be in the condo much. If you are looking for all new furnishings and interior so you can sit in the condo all day this is not it. One item to be aware of is the AC does not reach the bedroom very well but it is cool enough to sleep comfortably plenty of fans in the condo. The Cove beach right out front had small surf while we were there and was easy location to paddle board. Paddle boards or surf boards can be rented 1 block from the condo. Plenty of food options available from local restaurants to food trucks. Food trucks are strictly regulated by the department of Health and are through out Kihei. The closest is a 1 block to South Maui Gardens for food trucks. There are also small retail business in the next block. We booked this a few days before we arrived and coupled vacation with some volunteer work for fire survivors. Everyone we met was very grateful we were there helping the economy as many have reduced hours from a lack of tourism. We normally do not buy much in retail items on a vacation but in this case we did to put money into the local area and avoided big corporate type operations like car rental & coffee shops. Please do some research and find the local owned operations it's not hard. We have stayed in $1000.00 a night resorts and budget resorts. We can do either and my wife would come here again no problem. This was her first trip to Hawaii and loved Maui and the people. If you are going just for your comfort you may be disappointed but if you go to help others just by your presence contributing to the local economy you can't go wrong. Have a giving mindset and you will get more than you give.

Overall the property has a great location, is quiet but close to the action Kihei. The property is a little dated and no AC in the bedroom so it wasnt that comfortable to sleep in at night. The value is pretty incredible for a quiet place with great paddle boarding and beginner surfing spots within a block.

Condo with no access to upstairs. Great location to restaurant/food truck and a sunset view. Unfortunately the pull out couch bed and actual queen beds are just horrible you will feel ever spring. Could us another fan or better ac unit. Pool is right outside and quick access to beach right across the street

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maui Shores! We heard great things about the Kihei area and were blown away by the beaches. There’s a wonderful food truck park a block away from the condos and we started each morning with coffee and açaí bowls. The beach equipment was great and enhanced our stay. It was clean, it was nice, it was in pretty good condition, and the location is excellent. Beds were very comfortable. Zero bugs or critters. Some workers came in to do electrical work so there was brief disruption. The washer and dryer set off the smoke detectors several times and while we were a little disappointed in the delay of management’s response to text and email (they acknowledged them only after I phoned,) the maintenance employee response was immediate as was the repair. Overall enjoyed the property very much and would stay again.

Loved the location and view of the ocean. Pool area was great as well. Wished the patio had more chairs and bigger table to eat at as the unit did not have a table for 4 people. We had to eat in shifts due to table sizes.

We even had an issue with a neighboring unit blowing cigarette smoke into our bathroom and when we reached out they addressed it in a few hours. They were super helpful and communicative and everything was easy :)

We really enjoyed the location and made great use of the pool and hot tub! Parking was really easy and the unit was comfortable. I was a little sad that I didn't know there would be a Pickleball court available, as well as, a fun little surf break out front because I would have come equipped to make use of both for sure! If anything, adding a couple pickleball paddles and balls to the mix of fun goodies hiding in the closet would be awesome for the next visit!

Our stay was such a delightful experience! The kitchen was spacious and fully outfitted with all the dishes and appliances we would need, kept meticulously clean and organized. The ice maker was fantastic! The air conditioner kept the unit cool and allowed for great sleeps every night. The closet was stocked with beach toys and chairs and snorkel gear and a booger board, we didn’t have to rent anything to enjoy the beaches and our kids loved the pool! We went at least twice a day it was kept so clean and the staff were so friendly.

This is a wonderful stay right in front of many beaches and many food places. Activities are around 30 min or less away (zipline, winery, luau, shopping center). The pool is big and warm the residents who stay here are nice. We had ghost ants but we we're brought traps asap and then they were gone would def book again.

The location is amazing, the unit was well stocked. Spent a lot of time at the pool and there's an amazing view of the beach across the street. The maintenance staff is there daily cleaning the property, pool area, grills, stairway railings. Would recommend Maui Shores to friends going to Hi.
The unit itself really needs a deep clean and a facelift. After reading previous reviews and seeing that the dust on the ceiling was there in January, I finally cleaned it myself. The box fan, the bathroom fan, air-conditioning fan all need cleaned. But that would be my only complaint.

This condo is in an excellent location!
Walking distance to many shops, restaurants & great beaches.
The unit itself would benefit greatly from a deep cleaning.
There was heavy dust on the bathroom fan, dead lightbulbs in the bathroom, 2 kitchen drawers were broken & fell apart if opened.
One of the bins in the fridge door would fall off if touched.
In the bedroom, there were multiple large dust webs hanging from the ceiling.
There is no AC in the bedroom, which is fine, however the fan provided for the bedroom was covered in dust & needed to be cleaned.
The cooler zipper was broken & the beach bag provided had a mold like substance in the bottom making these unusable.
Overall, the unit was good & we would recommend it again.

The Shores of Maui was a perfect one bedroom space for my husband and I and our 8 year old! The view was incredible and watching whales with a coffee or cocktail was a daily event! The pool was really nice too! We’d definitely stay here again!

Great location, you can catch the beautiful sunsets right from the condo. Beaches aren't far away. Parking and check-in/check-out was easy. Excellent communication from property manager as far as expections and how to access everything.

This condo could definitely use a face lift (the building in general). As for the unit, it was nice and definitely checked all the boxes. The sunset/ocean views, hot tub, and pool were nice. However, the downsides were: the washer/dryer were not working properly, the plates and pans were dirty when we went to use them, there was dust hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom, the bedroom was pretty warm with no AC, and the loft (as pictured) was locked-up and not accessible. We really enjoyed the unit and the location. But there was definitely a little more effort that could have gone into the unit itself.
