The unit itself is a beautifully appointed one bedroom, one bath condo which is stocked with thoughtful touches to ensure your stay will be enjoyable. If you like to prepare your own meals, there is a fully equipped kitchen, and a washer and dryer is also available in the unit. There are split system AC units in both the living room and bedroom, and there are also ceiling fans to help keep you cool. Kamaole Beach Royale #508 has you covered for your beach days with beach chairs, beach towels, and cooler. After a busy day of adventures, relax on your private lanai. When you are ready to retire for the evening, a Queen bed awaits in the bedroom as well as a television if you want to watch some TV before you drift off to sleep. The living room also provides a television and there is a telephone in the unit for local calls. This unit is in the heart of South Kihei and perfect for those seeking the convenience of being right in the center of the action!

The central location is within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and beaches, and it is a short drive away from the famous golf courses of Wailea, Maui.

Set up and location is great, view is spectacular. I have never had issues with responses when I needed to contact them with questions. Some people complain about bugs, yes, I saw a few - but I have never stayed somewhere in Hawaii that didn't have a few. No biggie to me.

You're supposed to register your car for a parking sticker, but I never received that so that bit of information is misleading for the property.

Literally the only drawback of the apartment is that the bedroom is so far back from the wall AC unit that it is very difficult to cool down the bedroom. But I honestly didn't have a problem with it because of how awesome the rest of the experience was. The keyless check-in with the keypad was flawless. I saw one roach in the bathroom, but that's probably something you're going to run into anywhere on Maui. The kitchen was clean and so was everything else. I highly recommend staying here.

The roof top BBQ and patio is a great place to hang out and watch the sunset.

Reviewer Comments: Great location with a fabulous view and wonderful beach, but the lanai screen door is very hard to open and close, the inside of the bathroom ceiling fan and the shower head need to be cleaned, the couch smells dirty, and 2 more beach towels would be nice. That said, the AC works great, the staff was friendly, and the rooftop grill is awesome!

If we didn’t make it to the beach it was perfect watching the sunset from our balcony. They had everything we needed for the beach: chairs, towels, Umbrella. We also bought some pool noodles and left them for future use!

The screen door to the lanai stuck, the neighbors were loud (until 1 AM!), the metal bars on the lanai annoyingly interfered with the view, the ambiguity of the parking instructions ("Park in the covered area" but all had "RESERVED" signs), the tiny shower stall.However there were "Pros"--the location was great, being walking convenient to good beaches, parks, eateries and shops, the kitchen was clean with new granite and well stocked with many utensils and plates, and there were books and condiments in the shelves from generous previous tenants. The wi-fi was strong and the closet had adequate space with many hangers. It was fun to sit on the lanai and watch the view of the ocean and the people in the park across the street, and the parade of cars, bikes, and people on S. Kihei. And the apartment was big enough that the 2 of us didn't feel cramped.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Central location is a good staging point for visiting anywhere on the island. The ocean view from the lanai is great, even though it is across the street from the beach. Overall the property should get a refresh since it is a bit dated. For example, we found that the lanai screen door was broken but got by fine without using it, and the bathroom pocket door doesn’t move smoothly, appliances are old, etc. Not complaints really, but small updates would really improve the experience. We found the property nice and clean when we arrived and the digital lock was nice so we didn’t have to worry about a key. It was nice to find beach chairs available, as well as a cooler. The beach across the street is fairly nice and it is easy to stroll some distance to the north or south. Overall good basic accommodations and we enjoyed our stay.
