Wonderful location. The beach is amazing and steps away. The condo is on the second and 3rd floors and is very comfortable. The master bedroom is a loft with views of the beach, but might not have the degree of privacy that most expect (there are curtains to the large windows, but then you miss the view).
The kitchen is small but well designed and is functional. The washer and dryer are also a nice touch. There are some beach chairs and toys in the downstairs closet that we unfortunately only found on our last day.
Overall, highly recommended and would definitely stay there again.

This property is right on the beach perfect for coming to and fro with small kids. The view from the upstairs bed is unreal, which is great when you’re stuck inside with napping kids. The only downside is the suite is getting a bit dated and run down, could do with a makeover. No beach equipment is provided either which would be nice.

We love this condo building. The location is perfect, the view of the beach from the lanai and master bedroom cannot be beat. In this particular condo, the beds and furniture were comfortable, but we spent a lot our time at the condo on the lanai. The appliances could be updated, but on the last morning Lowe's tried to replace the fridge so I think that is already in process. I've worked with Brittany from the property management company before and she has always been very nice and helpful. We even met the cleaning lady and she was so cool and friendly too! Excellent choice and I would definitely stay here again!

Thank you for the opportunity to stay in your lovely home. It was very enjoyable being right on the beach! The complex is well maintained and centrally located. It is wonderful to have a kitchen and be able to eat dinner as the sun sets out side. There was no beach umbrella, which with the wind that kicks up each afternoon... I understand....the umbrella's often did not make it through the wind. Solution is to find a spot under the large tree by the rocks...it is crowded...but the shade allows a day on the beach. And it is nice to walk back for lunch, drinks, bathroom, etc.
I think the upper units could be improved by replacing those small upper windows with thermal windows, which should greatly reduce the road noise. I was aware this might be an issue, as it was mentioned in other reviews, so I brought ear plugs. However, there is noise even with ear plugs. I think the upper (loft) units are more affected by the road noise, as they face the street and are higher than the retaining wall by the street.
I noted that the owners seem very responsive to improving their space, so I wanted to let them know that for a group of four it was a bit awkward, as there were only three chairs for the dining room table. The guest room closet is full of beach boards (6). chairs (3), so not much room for guests cloths or luggage. There were not enough beach chairs for four people. The folks I traveled with, found and claimed the two beach chairs and the older lounge chair...so I sat on the mat.... alot. It is a really nice beach, not too crowded, surf is not too rough. Great location to spent time on the beach. Thanks again!

Unit was conveniently located between two main shopping areas in Kihei. Located on the beach, the view was wonderful and it was convenient for us with little children to access the beach. Unit had everything we needed. I would definitely stay at this location again. Only disadvantage was the single parking spot but we managed to find parking areas near by for the second vehicle.

Really really beach front. I love this property however this unit/condo could use a bit of an update (Kitchen, bath, appliances. All accurate in photos). It was clean and beds were comfy. Beach chairs were broken and no umbrella was available which I found weird as all other condos I have stayed in this area (4) have had a beach umbrella. I was able to change the dates of the reservation but was not credited for tax or any fees. Little/no communication from the host on this matter. I will stay at this property again, but maybe not this unit.

Communication / Check in: I would have liked to have more communication on the check in process prior to our arrival. Since we didn’t know how we would get in I sent the property manager a message through the app and also left a voicemail. After not hearing back I found another number to call and spoke with a person who said instructions would be sent that afternoon. The check in instructions came the afternoon before the arrival day. That may be because it is a keyless door code used to get in and they don’t give it out until the last minute. This made us question if the code is changed after each stay. I asked the property manager if the codes get changed but have not heard back.
Condo worked well for our family of 4. Kids shared the downstairs bedroom that had two twin beds in it. There is a full bath right next to that bedroom. The loft had a king sized bed and an attached full bathroom.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful time at this condo. The super easy beach access was fantastic. The condo was very clean and perfect for us. Will definitely stay again if ever back on the island. Thanks!

Positives: great view & location, clean bed sheets

Management doesn’t care about you. We checked in on Saturday and the host didn’t respond to our questions till Monday after I messaged her via the app, called her regular phone, emergency line, and called Vrbo itself. We asked about Amazon deliveries prior to arrival and she said that you can try to have Amazon deliver. When trying to get our package she told us she doesn’t have access to the mail box so our packages were lost in her mail box.
The place wasn’t clean. On arrival we found the floor and both showers were dirty. After contacting and not getting response back we had to clean ourselves. On top of that, it is pretty clear that the place never had a deep clean. The carpet has changed color due to how dirty it is and only by the wall you can see original beige carpet color, the walls have stains all over, the fridge was dirty on the outside. And the list goes on.
The everyday appliances have issues, because they have never been cared for. The dishwasher rack is broken because it rusted through. The fridge door is rusty. The microwave door handle was almost falling apart. The mosquito door for the patio went off the railing when opening. The shower had issues with hot/cold water regulation. The beach chairs were rusted, so we ended up not using them.
It did not seem that anyone cared about the basic stuff for a rental. There were chipped plates. The table plate mats were dirty. There were stains in the towels. We could not find a promised umbrella.
The unfortunate part is that we did not even want to complain initially. We were happy with the location. We reached out to the manager with simple questions like: where can we find the umbrella, how do we unclog the sink, are you aware the shower was dirty, etc. After not responding for 2 days, she then said that she didn’t believe any of these issues, because the cleaner checked and confirmed everything is fine (seems the property manager is remote in California). We asked if she could send in the cleaner, who could answer our questions and remediate if they found that we were right. The answer was that no one was going to come, and if were unhappy we could leave and receive the refund for remaining days. I said it was unfortunate, because a guest can deal with some of the issues above if management is trying to do their best, but in this case it did not seem anyone cared to even listen, let alone help. Not sure why.

Yes, the view and location on the beach is wonderful!! I rarely write reviews but these are things I would have liked to know about this condo.
I will lead off with the biggest complaint because it had such an impact on our comfort during our vacation. There is a problem with the AC. It cools the condo but it leaves an unacceptable high level of humidity in the unit, most notable at night. This made sleeping very uncomfortable. Our clothes in the loft always felt damp. We left 3 phone messages and 1 email to reach Brittany (Host), she returned our email 3 days later. She did send an HVAC serviceman over who said everything was fine. However, it did not solve the problem. We have vacationed on Maui for years and have never had this issue in other condos when the AC is working properly.
Other items: Condo is in need of updating. Walls need painting, carpets need cleaning in both bedrooms.
Bathroom grout should be deep cleaned. Master bathroom tub/shower combo is very difficult to enter. The tub sides are very high making it hard to step into. We only used the downstairs shower.
Lower bedroom needs blackout shades. The lighting outside the window is very bright and lights up the room.
You definitely hear road noise.
The house keeper leaves 2 dishwasher pods, 2 garbage bags, 2 clothes detergent pods so plan to supply these for your stay. Hard to believe with the price of this condo.
They have two beach chairs. No umbrella or small cooler.
We had the same concerns with Brittany stated in other reviews. We would not stay in this unit or use Golden Cricket Management again.

Clean property exactly as described with many updates items! As with most condos, there is always more updating that can be done, but none of it impacted our stay. Yes the ceiling fan wobbles, but we used it regularly and it was fine. Yes, noise does carry, but most nights, the street was quiet and there was only a couple noisy people passing by. If this bothers anyone, bring ear plugs, but then you won’t hear the sound of the waves a night which we love! We also moved chairs around as there’s only 3 chairs around the dining table, but again, not a big deal for us. The new drapes are split brim the main floor so the top can stay closed for loft privacy, and also keep our evening heat.
The best part: the view! The tree offers shade and a bit of privacy without inhibiting view of ocean, whales, etc. I puke definitely stay again ♥️

This place was a dream come true!! It is located right on our favorite beach (Kam 1). We would sit out on the patio in the mornings drinking coffee, reading and watching the beach come alive with activity. Also it was a great place to whale watch! It has a very easy access to to the beach through a secured gate. There is a bit of street noise but it is countered with the sound of the waves. We loved it!!

The location was perfect. The air was broke the entire time we stayed. It got to 87 degrees inside the condo every single day. It was too hot to get ready or cook so we had to go out to eat more than we wanted to. If the air had been working, the condo would have been perfect. The beach is right outside your door and close to many great Kihei restaurants. The management just did not seem to care that temptress wise, we were miserable. Sunburns and no air conditioning do not mix well.
