This is a great condo location. Right on the beach. Everything is local. Koloa is a darling town. Poipu beach is wonderful for snorkeling. The only problem with this unit is that the bedroom with the two twin beds has a very strong smell of mildew. My daughters had to sleep with the window open.

This is very old and lacks love. They bank on the view alone. Once the wow factor is gone you realize there are no window coverings a basic home necessity. If guests are sleeping in the living room they wake up with the sun. Next the guest room had the most odd pungent smell. I had to keep the door shut. Thankfully we didn’t need that room. The master closet takes muscle to close due to the eroded rust on the tracks. It was the least cared for property we have ever stayed in. It was clean but you can only get old so clean. We knew it would be outdated but not to the extent we experienced. Zero quality everything is basic entry level.

This beautiful third floor unit has floor to ceiling windows directly overlooking the breaking waves on the beach below. I greatly enjoyed gazing into the waves and seeing green sea turtles and spinner dolphins right outside my windows. A south facing patio gave access to both sunrise and sunset. The furnishings were comfortable and the housewares etc were everything I needed. Close to lots of activities . I would definitely stay here again.

We arrived at the condo to discover construction/concrete repair underway at the complex. There was scaffolding and work going on right next door - lots of noise and dust. We contacted the owner, apparently he was not aware of the extent of the work being done. The work moved to another area of the complex, but a good portion of our vacation was disrupted. The owner really stepped up and refunded our payment for the days that were affected, which we truly appreciated.
The condo itself is nice, but a little tired.

We have stayed in 314 three times before for good reason. The view cannot be beat. As soon as I open the door to the condo I feel my blood pressure dropping. Comfortable furniture, well stocked kitchen, updated appliances, plenty of cooking utensils, dishes and silverware. Very clean condo. Beds are comfy. I love sitting on the lanai with my morning coffee or evening cocktail and turtle watch. Condo is within walking distance of The Beach House, a wonderful restaurant with great food and the best mai tais. We never had to contact the host because everything in the condo was perfect! We will definitely be back!

The location of this property is wonderful, with a lanai overlooking the ocean. The owner was very responsive to our needs. The condition of the condo is somewhat rundown and needs a facelift, but everything works fine and the bed was comfortable. We would come here again.

The rental process went smoothly. The view was great. Everything we needed was in the kitchen except for coffee filters and salt/ pepper. I was surprised at the layout but when I reviewed the photos it's all there. The bathroom that goes with one bedroom is in the hall, but the other bedroom has a shower right there in the bedroom and a bathroom sink and toilet behind a door. The kitchen is dated, as seen in the photos but the pictures don't do the place justice. The refrigerator door has rust ir some kind of spots all over it. A good remodeling would make the place really nice. All the beach toys were welcome.

The location of this condo is perfect- great snorkel beach next door, beautiful sunrise & sunset views. Condo was exactly as expected. We chose Kuhio Shores for location and it did not disappoint. Owners are easy to communicate with as well.

Very nice property, clean, well maintained and roomy. A well equipped kitchen allowed food preparation and cooking. Our only complaint is the “hot box” that is the 2nd bedroom. Temperatures were only tolerable with ceiling and box fan and A/C. Clearly a design/construction flaw but sleeping was a real challenge.

We have had several BnB experiences, but this was by far the best location we’ve stayed at. The moment you enter the condo, you are transported to this otherworldly place. From sighting turtles and seals to rare but spectacular rainbows over the Pacific, this condo is a must stay.

We enjoyed our time in Poipu. The view was spectacular. Watching the surfers and turtles right from the lanai was a special treat. Greg could not have been nicer and he was very easy to get in touch with. We all felt however, many of the fixtures were a bit tired and worn and in need of some TLC. We also found whatever cleaning products the cleaning service used very objectionable. The floors were tacky in places and there was a strong odor, which was solved by leaving the windows open.

The location of this property cannot be beat. It’s so special being right on the water. I can’t imagine any property being any closer to the water than this. Literally just steps away. It was so fun sitting on the balcony watching the surfers right in front. And then the best snorkeling that we found on the entire island is right next to the condo. We were able to just walk out of the condo and start snorkeling without having to drive anywhere. I cant recommend this property more and we would definitely return.

This is a beautiful place to stay. Fabulous ocean view. Close to a small swimming beach. Nice walks in the morning. We made breakfast everyday and appreciated nice pans, not the usual scratched non stick stuff! Nice comfy king-size bed. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at Greg's place. The location is right on water and you have a 180 degree view of the ocean right from the living room. Pretty awesome! The apartment was nicely furnished and the kitchen had all the amenities we needed (blender, newer pots and pans, silverware). Worth the 5 stars!

Waking up to the sound and the stunning view of the ocean was amazing. Sitting on the lanai watching turtles, drinking coffee in the morning is the way to learn to relax! There is everything you need in the condo except groceries. Easy to get in touch with the host. We would definitely stay there again. Make sure to close the door hard or it won't latch.

When we decided to travel to Kauai as a family — ages ranging from 10 years to 75 years— we had a lot to consider when it came to choosing lodging. This condo in Kuhio Shores met our needs well. There are elevators, so staying on the 3rd floor was no issue. The view really could not be beat. We were just a short walk to snuba and snorkeling. The only downside is the fact that laundry is coin machines down the hall, but if you plan well, that’s not a problem at all!

My husband, best friend and I stayed at this property while we attended a local wedding. From the minute you walk into the living room, you are presented with stunning, panoramic views of the ocean. There were plenty of places to sit inside and outside to enjoy these views. The property’s kitchen offered a wide arrange of cooking utensils and seasonings. And they provided plenty of beach towels and chairs, which made packing for this trip even easier! The check-in process was the easiest I’ve ever come across. And I love that we didn’t have to worry about a key. The unit was very quiet, as well. It was far enough away from both the road and the restaurant next door. We had friends that stayed across the way, and heard construction and roosters every morning. Thankfully, we only heard the sounds of waves crashing. It was divine. We would gladly recommend this unit to anyone looking to stay in Kuhio!! We hope to visit again one day! :)

This unit was as described and more. We could have spent an entire vacation just in the condo, enjoying every moment from sunrise off the left side of the lanai to sunset on the right side, with a day full of watching surfers and turtles and listening to the ocean waves in between. The condo itself is very comfortable and thoughtfully provisioned with everything from beach gear to awesome guidebooks. Shops and restaurants are all very nearby. We also loved the emphasis on quiet hours in the complex - they even shut down the laundry room after 9pm. This unit is one of just a few that has a built out dining nook with floor to ceiling windows — I’m sure all other units on this property are lovely, but that was a definite added bonus. Our only hesitation in sharing how amazing this place is is that we may make it harder for us to book it on our next trip — but it’s only fair to share our experience in this wonderful place.

The VIEW, The VIEW, The VIEW!!! 180 degrees of crashing ocean. We felt so lucky every morning!!! Watched the sunset outside on lawn chairs every evening. Air conditioning was nice too! Some reviewers have commented on the unit needing an update. Ok, maybe... A slight update, a comfy-er couch and maybe a rice cooker would be nice. For us, that is all insignificant when you have a view like that, not to mention ease of location, proximity to everything, and parking. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! This condo may not be in a resort or have some kind of fancy name attached, however waking up to see Sea Turtles off your patio and coming home from a long of day of sightseeing and activities this is perfect slice of heaven. From the couch you can see the TV, the surfers, & the turtles. Also, right next door to one of the best restaurants on the island “the beach house” & one of the top 3 snorkeling beaches on Kaui. Who could ask anything more?

When we arrived everything was spotless. The location is phenomenal! It was within walking distance to a pharmacy and to the old downtown area (with the food trucks). There were a ton of sea turtles, surfers and snorkelers to watch - plus the beach was super close!
