Directly across from a great beach and a very short walk to restaurants and shopping. Sweeping ocean views and every comfort you could imagine. Karen has lots of solutions and local knowledge to offer as well.

Great location and the stay made our Christmas wonderful! Karen went out of her way to ensure our check in process was smooth and even had decorated the place for Christmas, just lovely. Also, this was the perfect location for all of our activities!

The host gave detailed instructions on the Check in and parking process, and included suggestions of things to do and places to eat at.
The apartment is exactly as pictured. So we didn’t have any surprises. The kitchen is so well equipped!! Rice cooker, coffee maker including a Kurig and other we didn’t use. We appreciated that the hosts had plenty of initial supplies like bathing soap, dishwashing liquid and hand washing soap, detergent etc. There was also coffee and some other unopened grocery items we used. Lots of utensils, tuppaware, glasses and cups!
Though the hosts were out of town on. a cruise, Karen responded as best as she could if we had questions.
We also got accommodated for a late checkout, after she checked the housekeeper’s cleaning schedule. This was great customer service.
The beach is right across the street. This was the best part. Also, kids and us snorkeled here to see beautiful fishes. This apartment faces the ocean and is the closest one in the building, right next to the grassy area by the street. It’s not noisy or anything.
Lovely neighbors too.

The condo is perfectly located to access Kameole 3 (across the street) and 2 (a short block away) and the views of all the activity at the park and the ocean made for great early morning coffee on the lanai. The condo is so well equipped that you feel like the owners live there and just loaned it to you for your stay. We loved it!

This was our 5th time staying in the Haleakala Shores complex, and our first time in A302. It's a great, spacious condo, fully equipped with anything you might need, and very clean and comfortable! Being right across from the beach is *fabulous* (we saw turtles when we snorkeled there) and we loved having the ocean view. The saltwater pool in the complex was great (we'd never been in one, its MUCH nicer to swim in than a chlorinated pool), and we enjoyed BBQing by the pool deck. We loved sitting on the lanai, having coffee in the morning or cocktails at sunset. Joe and Karen were lovely hosts, and very responsive to questions and requests before and during our stay. A 5-out-of-5 stay, we hope to make it back there soon!

Our family was so impressed with Karen & Joe’s A-302 condo. This unit has a spectacular beach view with a sizable balcony to take in the beautiful sunset. Additionally the condo is very spacious with 3 large comfortable lay-Z-boy recline chairs, which was a perfect touch to elevating our tired legs. I must say… my back is very picky with the type of mattresses I sleep on and I was extremely pleased with the king size bed in the master bedroom. It was as comfortable as my bed at home. Karen has added many extras in the kitchen which made preparing our meals easy. The condo’s location was perfect for our needs as local shops, restaurants and a grocery store were nearby. This spectacular unit is definitely one that we will be booking again for our next trip to Maui!

This is our first trip to Maui and it was absolutely the best trip ever. Upon arrive to the rental Karen greeted us with a welcoming smile and offered assistance with anything we needed. She was just a door down from us which is convenient. The condo is very well kept, spacious and has a great view of the ocean. Everything you need is there, washer/dryer, stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, many types of coffee makers and other appliances. Dinnerware and silverware, cups, cookware is all provided. I can't wait to come visit again soon.

The condo was absolutely perfect. Every amenity was absolutely accounted for. Want a beach picnic, everything you need is there. Want to dine in? Full spice rack, all the cook and dinner ware. The views from the lanai? Magical! The entire complex is clean, quiet, and situated perfectly in Kihei. If you are considering a Maui vacation, this is where you want to stay. the stay was better than I expected it to be. The condo is right across the street from a great beach that was never crowded. Since it's a public park there are still and benches there also. I love morning coffee and was able to walk 5 minutes or so and enjoy the sunrise in the morning. The location was great! Karen thought of everything I didn't even consider. There were beach chairs and an umbrella and beach towels. The kitchen had literally every kitchen device a person could need. Great dishes and cookware. I mean absolutely everything was there. Sitting on the balcony and watching the sunset each night was fantastic. It was the best! In addition the hosts are super friendly and helpful. In already planning my return trip.

Haleakale Shores is an old condo building across the street from a park and Kamaole III beach. This unit has been nicely remodelled, and Karen is a gracious host. From the condo you can walk to some beautiful beaches. A pool and barbecue area are available for guests' use. The unit has a nicely equipped kitchen, a washing machine and dryer, and wall air conditioning units. Although it was spacious for two of us, it would have been awkward to have invited another couple to join us. There is one bedroom with a king-sized bed, and a den with a fold out couch and an adjacent bathroom. That bathroom has a door on it; the master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with no door--just a screen. Also, the street in front of the unit might be too noisy for some guests, which can make sitting on the lanai less inviting.

We had an amazing time in Kihei! The location in South Kihei was great for as we love the Wailea/Makena area. The park across the street provided easy access to the beach. Many restaurants are within walking distance. One of my favorite places is Beach Street - they have the best açaí bowls!! Next door is Cafe Au Lei for lunch or dinner. Ok, back to the condo. We love going out for dinner, but we also love to cook; the kitchen is fully stocked with just about any appliance you can think of. Some basic staples were provided too. Maybe left from previous renters? Coolers, beach chairs, beach towels all provided, that was a big plus. The pool area was usually empty (we prefer the beach!), but the gas bbq’s are in that area. Although we enjoyed the location, the only downfall would be the traffic noise. We had all the windows open to breath in the ocean air, so that was our choice. Easy check in, check out.

This is a beautiful condo in a great location in Kihei. My friend and I stayed here for both of our very first trip to Maui and we truly couldn't have picked a better home base!
Location-wise, it's in south Kihei right by the excellent Kamaole III beach and easy walking distance to numerous other great beaches. We went almost every day to swim and snorkel. It was great to have easy beach access and not need to find a parking spot since we we could easily walk. You are walking distance to a number of good restaurants (Coconut's has fantastic fish tacos!), cafes, gear rental shops, and a natural foods grocery store that had the BEST açaí bowls and smoothies. Wailea just to the south is also easily accessible by car and had other gorgeous beaches to explore.
The interior is spacious, well-appointed, and nicely decorated, with two bedrooms (one is a converted den, worked great for us) and two bathrooms. The common area is huge and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some--including a coffee maker, a very nice espresso and latte maker, air fryer, and any kind of pot, pan, or cooking utensil we ever needed. We cooked a number of meals at home and appreciated the thoughtful attention to details. The living room was comfortable to hang out in when you're not exploring Maui, and includes a large smart TV you can log into your Netflix, HBO Max, etc. accounts from.
Perhaps our favorite part of the condo was the big lanai. It faces directly west with clear views of the ocean. You can watch beautiful sunsets right from the lanai--or through the wall of west-facing windows in the living room and bedrooms. We loved starting the day on the lanai with coffee and breakfast listening to the waves, watching the ocean, and taking in the chirping birds and fresh air around us. It was such a peaceful hangout spot, with unobstructed views west and south.
Karen and Joe were extremely warm and hospitable. We shared some great chats and they even provided us with great recommendations for things to do on Maui that are more off the beaten path.
Overall, we just loved our time here and cannot recommend it enough!

Karen and Joe were gracious hosts. They’re welcome letter included everything a newcomer could need to enjoy themselves. They were very easy to work with and immediately responded to any email I sent.
The unit was very spacious, and a full kitchen precluded lots of pricey restaurant excursions.
The ceiling fans make a wonderful addition to the constant ocean breeze that cools down the unit. Our favorite spot was happy hour on the lanai, just before a quick trip to the beach, a short three minute walk.
The salt water pool was very peaceful and there were plenty of barbecues so we did not have to wait to cook.

Great experience! This condo really is a 5 Star condo!
Karen and Joe have stocked this condo with everything that you would need! They have really put a lot of thought into what their guests might like to use while on their vacation. It is ocean front with a wall of windows looking towards the ocean. Lots of starter supplies, great pool closet with three different kinds of chairs, fully stocked kitchen, lots of ceiling fans and two a/c units, comfortable king size bed with great pillows! We absolutely had no complaints and I could go on and on!
This is a great area - so easy to walk to shopping and restaurants. Easy drive from the airport! So nice to take wonderful walks along the ocean at the beach park right across the street and to watch the sunsets!
We met Karen and she was so welcoming and available for any questions or suggestions!
