We did noticed some small roaches in the kitchen during our stay, which left us worried about the rest of the condo. Everything is outdated, could use some update. The stove was working 50% of the time. It did have all the cooking essentials and glasswares. They also had beach chairs and towels which made it super convenient. There was a broken umbrella that we couldn't use. Overall it was definitely a great location since it was next to the beach/shops. Definitely could use some upgrades and pest control.

We love the place it was clean, it provided us everything we need., execpt for the check in., we got there very late and both doors where locked, we had to call the manager so she can go and unlock the frame door for us so we can get in … But thank you we loved staying there and we forsure consider staying there in the future again.

This was an ideal location for the best of Wailea and Kehei. The condo is a very short walk from the beach with gorgeous sunsets every night. The pool area is beautiful. This place fit all of family our needs. Mahalo!

Have been to Maui at least 15 times or more. First time I have written review for any unit. This building was built in 1974 . This condo is my least favorite. It's right off busy side st leading up to hiway so very noisy. Floor was not very clean . It's very dated from cooking utinsils to pots and pans. Washer dryer were replaced while we were staying new one bought on craigs list spin cycle will sound like helicopter landing so do early in the day . Room air fan in spare bedroom is very loud speeds up and down at night. I have stayed in alot nicer units for less money , seems Maui is going up every year however this unit is not worth the $ 4oo dollars a night with taxes and fees . We will be back next year but won't be staying here again . Parking is really ,really tight.better to park on street after unloading if you want any room. pool they claim is heated but I think only by the sun , temp varried daily. Plus side is unit is roomy , but as stated very dated needs major remodel . Maui has better places to stay .

Our 5 night stay was for a wedding and we stayed with another couple. The unit was spacious and provided a comfortable base to relax, eat, and enjoy the island. We didn't use the pool or other property amenities, but the close access to the beach was a plus.The unit included all the amenities you might need to enjoy your stay to the fullest, including beach chairs & an umbrella, a cooler bag, beach towels, etc. which was a pleasant surprise.On the negative side, the unit was well worn and needed a good cleaning. The entryway mirrors showed wear, and the window screens were coated with dust, especially the ones in the bathrooms. We didn't use most of the appliances except the microwave, but the washing machine had leaked just prior to our stay and was being replaced.

Central and clean. The location is a bit noisy (busy road, noisy rental neighbours, early morn garbage trucks), but super close to everything. The kitchen needs an upgrade - especially, the stove-top. Kitchen is very basically equipped. The bonus about the place is the two comfortable king beds and ensuites - a rare find, and perfect for two couples. The showers are great too! We would stay here again.

Not worth the price, baseboards are all dirty, bathrooms full of sand, dusty, hair, even soap scum. , mats in bathroom look and feel dirty, very little in the kitchen to cook with, things broken.
The portable a/c they provided is rusted were the air blows out from, the fans are full of dust.
They took awhile to reply.
All they wanted to do was send someone to sweep when it needed a deep clean they had nothing to say to that when I mentioned it. They did refund cleaning fee which still was not worth the nightly price
the only pro about is was the location as its walking distance to the beach.

Good location across from the beach in a quaint town, but not entirely a waterfront view. Nice outside patio area. Very spacious. The master bedroom is enclosed by sliding panels, so not complete light/sound privacy from the other guests staying with us. Found and killed two cockroaches in the master bathroom and had some ants show up afterwards. After using the blender once and disassembling it, found mold in the bottom. Fridge handle was broken upon entry. So not perfect, had a few hiccups, but overall sufficient for our stay.

We have stayed at Haleakala Shores condos several times in various units. The location is great and is right across the street from Kamaole 3 Beach. This unit (B309) was clean and comfortable if a bit worn and dated. It could use some refreshing and a few minor repairs. The pool was nice and we enjoyed visiting with other guests and permanent residents while there, but they could use a few more lounge chairs. Plenty of restaurants nearby within walking distance. The management company responded very quickly to a problem we had with the wifi.

Property managers very helpful, but the cleaning? Over all ok, but the surfaces were really black, not sure when they were last cleaned and maybe its just the air there. Cockroaches two nights in a row and then complex was sprayed. Who knows what the people were like ahead of us though. Unit itself could use updating. Sliding screen doors to balcony off the tracks and old and frustrating every time you went in or out. a/c not super useful and noisy. Overall unit was ok, just nothing fancy. Definitely felt like a rental unit versus someones place that they like to also go to. Friends stayed in a unit like that. Theres felt more homey. There were a few things in the kitchen that were left by others, but no dish soap as expected, just an empty container sitting on the counter to notify us thats what we had! Nice to have some fins and beach chairs in the closet. The unit was large and spacious, especially the living area. Also had stackable w/d. The pool area and complex itself is kept up really well and bbqs are lovely to have also.

Not the best stay to be honest. Our first impression was that we’re were lied to about the unit having AC, it only has two portable units so the moving area and kitchen get very warm. After the first hour of being there and letting my baby crawl around her hands, feet, and knees were black from the dirty floor. We ending up just saying it was fine since we were really only sleeping in the unit… BUT after arriving home I received an email stating that we damaged the sheets, that we ONLY slept in. If your planning on staying there take note that the unit is very dated, no real AC, one out of the two bed were comfortable, not a-lot of cooking pan/container options, and please take pictures of EVERYTHING on your way out.

This property was perfect for our family of 5. Plenty of sleeping space. Layout was nice with bedrooms on opposite sides of the condo. Lanai was perfect for coffee in the morning and we had a lovely view of the trees and mountains with a little ocean view as well. My son and his friend meet at the beach every morning for snorkeling and it was directly across the street. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within a 15 min walk.

Our unit B309 was dated, but in ok shape. The washer/dryer was miniature. The a/c units could not keep up with the heat from the south facing unit. It was hot. Location is really great. Amazing beach just a 2 minute walk away. If you have younger kids, beware. Our family rented an number of units for a family reunion and the property manager said residents complained about kids having fun at the pool. I can’t count the number of times we were shushed! This was during the middle of the day, not at night. They expected small children to be quiet like a tiny adult.

Our stay was wonderful! The condo itself is a little dated but it was in a wonderful neighborhood. The only downside to the condo is there is no air in the living room, I’ve learned that’s pretty common in Hawaii though. Once we left is where our issue arises. The owners are trying to charge us obscene amounts of money for cleaning. There were some items that needed additional cleaning as I have small children but nothing totaling near what they’re asking. If you do not have small children id say it’s worth the stay.

Rental prices have gone crazy in HI, which forced us to find the best price without being a dump. This location worked perfectly and is a great spot being right across the street from the beach where we could walk past the homeless camp, which didn’t bother us at all. It’s a bit dated, but everything worked just fine. I’m hopeful that prices can come back down overall as I just compared this to a three bedroom three bath luxury golf home in the big island that I stayed at right before Covid hit for less. We used the beach chairs, cooler, and boogie boards, which were great to have. A pantry would be nice to have, but the shelf on top of the fridge worked fine. Perhaps it’s the post-Covid world that we now live in, but don’t expect to find any leftover food staples, like bags of rice. There are oils and spices available.

First time in Hawaii and an incredible experience. Our location was great in that it was within walking distance from the beach and central to several locations. The only downfall was the unit faced the road which was quite noisy at night. The kitchen glass wear, appliances and utensils could some use updating but overall the unit was clean and met our needs. Be careful of the size car you rent because the car port provided was small/tight. We rented a Kia Soul and the open trunk door hit the ceiling of the car port. The pool was clean and nice to have after a day at the beach. There were four Weber grills available for outdoor cooking which was great. The best part of this place was Gloria and Ron, retired teachers who lived at the condos. They let us use their carport after we had to checkout of our place by 11 and our flight wasn't until 7 pm. They loaned us towels and access to the pool. Just super friendly and lovely!!

No extras left by previous renters such as toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, laundry det etc. I have stayed in many other VRBO properties where extra items purchased were left behind for other renters but not in this case. I wonder what happens to all the items we left behind. I hope it all isn't just thrown away. Broken beach umbrella Allotted parking space was a tight squeeze with low ceiling and hairpin turn. Plan on renting a compact car or park on the street. We parked on the street and always found a spot.Despite these few cons, we had a pleasant stay in Haleakala Shores B-309. In Hawaii, location is the key and this location can't be beat. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The location of this condo was perfect for all the things we wanted to do. The 3rd beach was a quick walk away. The waves behaved differently every day. One day they were family friendly the next, dangerous to play in, then the next, great for boogie boarding. It was fascinating to watch and swim in. The walkable shops and restaurants are all to one side of the condo. You’ll need a car to explore the other cities and activities. The condo itself was furnished comfortably and the AC in the bedrooms were nice. Bonus was the four beach chairs and sturdy shade umbrella. Those made the trip more enjoyable. Beds were comfy and kitchen had all the appliances needed. There is one pool for the complex and it’s nice, surrounded by tropical trees and landscaping almost hiding the buildings. It had plenty of lounge chairs and a couple of cabanas. We would stay here again.

We are two families with little ones that stayed in this property for a week. Everything was top notch from the seamless check-in process with ample instructions and a very useful mobile app, clean and bright property that made us feel at home the moment we opened the door, great location right next to the Kihei beaches and shopping/restaurants and nice amenities with A/C units in both rooms and plenty of bedding, utensils and other necessities. The host was very friendly approving an additional kid in the reservation then helping us with an early check-in. If anything Kihei is a 30-40 minutes drive from pretty much every attraction in Maui but otherwise everything was wonderful. We also found a good Molokini snorkeling tour and a great surfing spot within walkable distance. Highly recommended!

Dated but very clean. Came with plenty of kitchen utensils, pots, pans, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, electric stove, cups, kitchen and bath towels, etc. Had a few visiting insects on the first morning but once we started leaving a few lights on at night and running the air we never had any other issues... nothing you really can’t expect with an older facility (built in 1974) in a tropical environment. One window/wall air conditioning unit that serves master bedroom/living room (only a sliding door/wall separates the two). One portable air conditioning unit in bedroom with two twin beds. We kept air conditioners on low or medium most of the time and they worked fine. Sofa bed in living room. Two full bathrooms. Just a short walk across the street to the beach. Parking can be tight to maneuver in and out of but you’re guaranteed your own spot. Cable TV didn’t work for the first couple of days until after we called to activate it... not a big deal since we rarely watch TV on vacation. Very old stackable washer/dryer unit but it worked fine. Not the greatest view off of outdoor porch but not the worst either. Nice pool. Convenient location with easy access to major roads nearby. If the price is right in the future we’d most likely stay here again.

Only negatives were the lock box for the key on arrival/departure. We had to leave at 4.30am for our flight home and it was too dark to read the numbers on the box so took over ten minutes to unlock to secure the unit. Parking space was very tight and would have been no good for a larger car.
Positives. Lots of stuff provided, body boards, snorkelling gear, plus things like a baby stroller and loads of other very useful items. Comfortable and clean. Very close to the beach so very enjoyable overall.
