We enjoyed staying at Maui Vista. It is the perfect location in Kihei. Condo was clean could use a little updating but overall it fit our needs.

Nice little ground floor unit just a few steps away from the office to check in. Also very close to the pool for that building. Lots of gear for the beach if you are so inclined, including chairs and snorkeling stuff. Suitably equipped for a longer stay, with refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave, and a washer/dryer unit. AC unit in living room area, and a portable AC unit in the bedroom. Oceanic Cable is a little bit or miss for TV, but with an extra HDMI port on the TV, I had no issues hooking up my little notebook and streaming stuff from there. Maybe bring a Fire stick or Roku stick if you expect to be watching a lot of TV.
There are several beaches along S Kihei Road, and it's a short drive down to Makena. It's also fairly close to Maalaea if you want to go to the aquarium at Maui Ocean Center, which is also where you'll find the Carl's Jr.
Shave ice truck something like a block away. Foodland is a little under a mile away, but Times Supermarket stays open a little later.

Great location - right next to the beach. Kitchen was OK - utensils, condiments, etc. Air conditioning.
Problems:
Carpet was kind of sticky.
House could use some ventilation.
Basic kitchen stuff absent - No cooking oil or salt.
Also had an issue with the toilet, which was resolved in a few hours (Apartment doesn't provide in-house plumber. Needed to call owner and arrange for external one)

Maui is our favourite destination and we enjoy the Maui Vista complex. Have stayed there 3 times each for a month. This was our first stay on the main floor… this unit is well located in building 1 and except for a bit of early evening road noise the unit and patio was mostly quiet and private. On the patio we enjoyed a mix of sun and shade throughout the day. The unit is older but has updated appliances, etc and is generally in good repair and shows as taken care of. Kitchen is well equipped and furniture in good shape with an island theme. For me I would love to see a comfortable chair added to the living room… couch was great for my husband but not for me. When needed we had no problem contacting the owner and the on island contact… thx so much Art and Dennis…
We thoroughly enjoyed the unit as our home base for a month and would book again

A 3 minute walk to Charlie Young beach and a 10 min walk to shops and restaurants. I will stay here every time I visit Maui!

We had major problems with our selection of the condo. We stayed for 8 nights. Major cockroach problem in the kitchen we were fighting off cockroaches all week. And we used to love this condo we have stayed at this condo before. Before there was never a cockroach problem. Never again will I stay at this condo. Also this condo is starting to get run down. Repair need to be made.

Beautiful condo in the most convenient location. 3 minute walk across the street to the beach. All the comforts of being at home including washer and dryer which made packing way easier. Walking distance to lots of cool restaurants, food trucks, and markets. Central location on the island makes it easy to commute to all sides of the island to explore and adventure. Loved my stay and hope to come back again soon!

Just the kind of place we needed! A kitchen for breakfast, a cool break from the midday sun, close to the pool and within walking distance to amazing food and shops! Beach was literally across the street. The condo was clean with so many wonderful gadgets and plenty of beach items that made our trip fantastic. I can't imagine staying anywhere else!

A convenient location and comfortable place to stay. We loved our time at the condo. It came equipped with everything we needed to have a great day at the beach and be comfortable when we returned.
The condo could use some updating but with that comes higher prices and the price point worked well for us. Having an air conditioning unit in the bedroom was nice. It can be a bit loud out the bedroom window since it is a walkway people use to access the parking lot, but it was a minor inconvenience for us.

We came to Hawaii on business so booking a place to stay short notice isn’t always easy. We moved our travel date a week and was able to get this condo at a really great price. It has a Queen size bed that was comfortable, fully stocked kitchen for those who wanna cook, I think the sofa opens up to a bed (we slept on the bed in the bedroom), tv, air conditioning if needed, and free parking. It also has lots of beach supplies and including towels. We did go to the pool once (which to me all Hawaii pools are chilly). We sat on the lanai in the evenings (nice breeze). This is close to a lot things in Kihei so if you’re in to walking, it very possible to get around. Communication with the host is easy - quick response. So, yes, if we find ourselves on Maui again and need a place to stay, I’d most definitely check here. Thanks for allowing us to use your property

I was actually a bit nervous about this place because it seemed too good to be true. I'm so very pleased with the place. If you're looking for luxury, this may not be your spot. But if all you are looking for is a safe, clean, extremely well located place to lay your head and maybe cook a meal or two, this is the perfect spot. I would recommend this place to any friends visiting Maui, and hope I get to come back to visit.

This place was absolutely perfect for us. The location is AMAZING. Charlie Young’s is an incredible beach just across the street from the condo’s lanai — literally. Had everything we needed: beach chairs, snorkel gear, beach towels, umbrella, wagon, cooler, you name it! We actually found the pull out sofa bed in the living room to be a bit more firm and opted to sleep out there and it was great! Dennis and Art were amazing and responsive. We definitely want to come back and stay at this condo!

We loved staying in this property. It had easy access to a beautiful beach, nice parks nearby and markets were close. The unit itself was comfortable and well furnished. We were able to easily find everything that we needed as far as equipment was concerned. Everything was in good repair. We would definitely like to return in the future

We love staying in this condo we rent it almost every year when we go to Maui to visit our daughter and grandkids. This time we just have one suggestion. Buy a new screen door. The screen door must have been missing a roller we could barely open and close the screen door, it was very frustrating. Other than that we love the condo and will still rent the condo every year.

I would say the condo made for adequate accommodations. The unit was clean, but everything is a bit dated and could stand some upgrading. It was not horrible at all.
The cost compared to the other units we looked at was great. Again, the unit served its purpose and we were over all satisfied. If you are looking for 5 star accommodations this is not it. Location is absolutely great.

Owner communication was good. Condo is outdated but clean. Everything worked, and that was the most important thing for us. Lots of TV channels. No TV in bedroom but didn't need it. Super shower head and lots of water. Location was good for us. For the price we were very happy, and owner responded immediately when I couldn't find garbage bags. They were at the bottom of the waste bin. Ha ha

It was easy to communicate with Arthur. He was responsive to issues that came up. We enjoyed the location - close to beaches and places to eat. This unit is quite dated and could use some cosmetic updates, like new paint. The outdoor patio furniture was rotted. We loved the beach chairs, towels, cooler, and umbrella. The collapsible wagon was a bonus. We could pack all of our things in that and wheel it to the beach for a full day of sunshine.
