Everything about the property is perfect. Love the pool area, steps away from the beach, lanai is perfect for breakfast or lunch or dinner. I had chance to view moon setting at 5:30 am.

Great location for all we wanted to do and close to stores amd restaurants. The unit was well furnished and equipped, and the in-unit washer/dryer was very comvenient. The only minor inconvenience was having to go tjrough the bathroom to get to the bedroom, and the pocket door between the 2.

Great location in Kehei. Unit is remodeled and tastefully decorated with quality furnishings. Really enjoyed the ocean front balcony for meals and morning coffee. Property is quite and well maintained with a clean pool and hot tub and right on the beach. Well appointed unit that had everything we needed in a home away from home. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Condo was nice, beautiful oceanfront property. There was some construction going on in a condo above us while we were there and they started pretty early so that was not great listening to them working. Other than that it was a very nice stay and nice accommodations. We did t communicate with property manager because we didn’t need anything and everything worked.

Our stay was great - short and sweet. The property manager was responsive and attentive to our needs. There were spices and cooking essentials for use which made our grocery shopping much cheaper. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and sharp knives! It was also incredibly thoughtful for the owners to supply beach chairs, a cooler, and an umbrella. We took it down to a beach in Wailea and had the best most relaxing time.
There are better beaches nearby and all beaches in Maui are public. Make sure you check out the other beaches as the water at Sugar Beach is less attractive and less inviting. Locals tend to hang at Sugar Beach and it can be a bit messy. Sunsets are still gorgeous, however and seen directly from the balcony.

Our favorite part of the stay was the consistent waves lulling us into relaxation. The property is 20 paces from a beautiful and peaceful beach, and the lanai allows for epic ocean views all day long! Overall, the condo was quiet and comfortable, plus the grounds of the property are well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and Sugar Beach in general is a real treat.

We had an amazing stay at Sugar Beach. The unit was clean, well stocked and a perfect location to explore the island. Our kids played for hours in the ocean which is just steps from the condo. We really appreciated the direct view of the ocean from the balcony. We had no issues during our stay and the owner Mason was great to deal with. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved the accommodations, we had everything we needed, The view was awesome and so close to everything. My only suggestion would be a stool to reach the top shelves since the cabinets are so tall. We hope to be back again.

This condo was the perfect place to spend our first time and honeymoon in Maui. It is in a very good location on the island and allows you to explore different areas without having to drive very far. It has all the amenities you can think of- the Washer dryer came in handy & beach equipment was also a big plus as we spent a lot of time on the beach. The view of of the sunset from the condo is simply beautiful. AC was perfect, bed super comfortable, we have zero complaints and would 100% come and stay here again.

This property is PERFECT for a couple. I would say it is not appropriate for any more than 2 people, however. There is plenty of living space to stretch out and relax. The living space opens up to a lanai facing the ocean. FABULOUS! Most days, we had our breakfasts and lunches at the condo and we ate outside on the lanai every time! The crashing surf sound was ever relaxing, the sunshine was rejuvenating! Sitting out on the lanai was an absolute delight!
You will enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, full size oven, cooktop, dishwasher and refrigerator. Absolutely wonderful!
The ocean is all of 50 feet from the condo! And the beautiful fresh water pool with adjacent hot tub is even closer.
We have nothing but great things to say about Mason (the owner) and Marco (the gentleman who maintains the condo). Both were readily available by phone or EMAIL if needed.
The condo is 30 minutes (max) from the airport, close to 2 different grocery stores, restaurants and pretty much anything else that you'd need.
You will need to rent a car when you arrive at the airport unless your sole intent is to relax by the shore everyday! If that's the case, you can roll out of bed and be on the beach in a minute.
I don't know if we'll ever find our way back to Maui. If we do, we'll be knocking at Mason's door once again.

We are a family of 4 and rented the condo for 6 days. The views and location were great. We didn't use the beach or pool much but loved the location being so close to south Maui beaches without the price. Again, amazing views. The pull-out couch was quite comfortable, as was the main King bed.

The owner/property manager was easy to work with and quick to respond. I especially liked the location with easy access to all parts of the Island. The community hot tub was a pleasure after a day of hiking. We would definitely stay here again!

The views and sounds of the ocean were amazing. We saw whales from the property and enjoyed the pool. You can walk down the beach to an ABC store. There’s also a small bar on property for a drink before you grill dinner. You can hear the waves from the bedroom at night. This unit is in an older condo complex that needs upgrading and simply just some paint, but otherwise the unit was very comfortable and quiet. The king size bed was comfortable and had nice bedding. They had boogie boards and beach chairs. The floors were dirty but I anticipate that was because of the beach and sand being right in front of the property. The shower also needs a good scrub. We wished the unit had a coffee grinder and some Tupperware but otherwise the unit had the basic kitchen supplies. The property manager was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would return to this unit.

This property is stunning! It is conveniently located in Maui. Updated kitchen appliances. Beautiful views at every hour of the day. On the 5th floor with balcony views of the beach (which you have direct access to!) We were able to watch the sunset on our balcony. I recommend this property to anyone who is dreaming of visiting Hawaii and looking to stay in a heavenly home.

This is our first stay on Sugar Beach and I'd come back. The beach views from the patio were so relaxing. The unit itself was clean and very updated (kinda liked that it wasn't the usual Hawaiian decor :). Marco (the onsite rep) was also very friendly.

After staying 7 nights in Kaanapali, we ended our trip with 3 nights at Sugar Beach. We haven’t stayed there before, but I remembered how popular it was, from my Travel Agent days a long time ago! It was perfect. Private, had everything we needed (more than our condo @ Kaanapali had to offer). I loved walking the beach in the mornings, and sitting by the pool in the afternoon, And of course the beachfront views are spectacular. Close proximity to stores, restaurants, & the airport. We will be back soon!

My partner and I stayed at Mason & Jay's place for a couple nights on a last-minute trip to Maui. Communication was easy and quick, and the condo is perfect. It's /right/ on the ocean, so the views are phenomenal and it feels peaceful and private and inspiring. Having beach equipment provided and some basics in the kitchen was a great help, and the host recommendations for food and activities were spot on. In particular, the recommendation for snorkeling was incredible!
The condo is very centrally located on the island, with easy access to all the popular tourist areas, but just far enough away from the bustling areas to feel a world apart. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat, and certainly hope to!

Mason’s condo was perfect for our stay in Maui. We loved the place and really enjoyed our stay. Communication with the owners was quick, especially for a last minute reservation. The check-in process was very easy. The unit had amazing balcony views and was very inviting. I Loved the modern decor! The owners thought of every little detail. The unit has everything you need from beach chairs, coolers, snorkeling equipment and more. It’s also is in a great location, it’s central to different parts of the island. It’s located at a great midpoint to Lahaina, Wailea and about 15 min away from the airport. I would definitely recommend staying here and can’t wait to go back!

The Concierge for this unit was very helpful and I believe he really would have went out of his way to help you if you needed him to.

Excellent experience renting this condo. We stayed in Kihei for 3 nights. Great location. Owner was very responsive with questions. Received all the pertinent information during the rental process and just prior to arriving. The unit and appliances were clean and the decor was updated, awesome ocean view. Unit has AC, washer/dryer. We used the boogie boards at the on-site public beach! Fun playing in the waves. There are also beach chairs and coolers for use. We frequented the food truck park for coffee and ate at Miso Phat sushi, a nearby Thai restaurant and an outdoor restaurant at the Grand Wailea. Grocery stores nearby! There is also an outrigger canoe club down the street open to visitors on Tuesday and Thursdays. Sign up online to reserve a spot! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This condo has everything! Well appointed furnishings, the best location ever, the lanai was a lovely spot to hang out amd watch the surf and families playing in the surf. We are swimmers and we’re able to open water swim over a mile right from in front of the property. We were even allowed to arrange for late check out which made our last day in Maui very relaxing. Can’t wait to return to this lovely accommodation, highly recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing truly ocean front getaway.

This space was perfection. What can I say......Bed (insanely comfortable, including pull-out), kitchen ( everything you need), view ( you won't find better), beach ( a slice of heaven). I want to keep this place a secret because it's that great. If you are looking for a laid-back beach experience in Maui, this is it. Sugar Beach 521 is amazing! I highly recommend it if you are looking for a quiet place with a sandy, beautiful beach you can walk for miles and miles, as well as tastefully updated condo with everything you can imagine provided! My husband and I loved coffee on the lanai in the mornings, as well as cocktails and dinner in the evenings. This location is fantastic- easy beach walk to the bakery and farmers market (be sure to get the fresh guacamole there!), and an easy drive to Kihea and Wailea. Kaanapali and Kahana were a scenic drive made easily as well. Many fantastic restaurants are close and the beauty of the area is serene! (Mahalo Mason and Jay for the unexpected opportunity to share the same beautiful experience my Dad had there. What a sentimental surprise! 💕)

Great location on the ocean with good access to the west and south of Maui, and not so touristy as other parts of the island. The condo itself is nicely done and well-equipped. It can get windy in the afternoon but there are so many other places to go and things to do that it's not a bother.

We love staying at Sugar Beach and always enjoy overlooking the ocean during the fabulous sunsets. If we could give this a 4.5 stars we would. The only small issue was the condition of the floors when we first arrived. Because we are kindly asked to remove our shoes when entering the room, we could feel that they were quite sandy and might not have been thoroughly cleaned.
But besides this, the place was wonderful! Beautifully decorated and renovated, stocked with all kinds of beach chairs and necessities, lovely open concept and the fantastic breeze with ocean sounds were so soothing.
The owner was very quick to answer any and all of our questions and the information manual was so thorough as well. We had the pleasure of meeting Marco (property manager?) on our departure day and couldn't be more impressed with his helpfulness.
We definitely will be staying at Sugar Beach again, and if this unit (or any owned by Mason) is available, we hope to stay specifically at his again. Mahalo!

This home is exactly as it appears in photos. Upon arriving it was very clean and very inviting to walk into. Host was easy to work with, gave great info, and made the entire process super simple. Great beaches, lunch spots, and bars close by! And towels, beach chairs, and snorkel gear were provided by host. Highly recommend this place. :)

This was our first time staying a Sugar Beach. What a beautiful location. Great beach and not very busy. The condo had everything we needed and the view was spectacular! The condo is beautiful and so comfortable. We saw whales almost everyday while sitting on our lanai. The pool and grass area were a nice place to hang out. The BBQ’s were perfect for an evening get together. The grounds are immaculate. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you Mason for sharing your lovely home with us. Also. We stayed for two weeks and everything was great. We especially loved the location – close to almost everything with a million-dollar view. It’s right on the beach so that we could enjoy the sounds, sights and moods of the surf all the time. We also greatly appreciated the information that Mason sent a week before our arrival – it had very complete instructions and lots of helpful hints. Finally, Marco, the on-site manager was helpful and responsive.

Very nicely appointed condo, however we were a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the bedroom carpet and the somewhat uncomfortable lanai table and chairs. Bedroom carpet really needs to be carpet-cleaned or replaced and we found the lanai high top chairs hard to move around and extremely uncomfortable to sit in for any length of time. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay !

We liked the unit, but there was construction noise during the first three days of our stay, we called the owner and he in essence said it was our problem, told us to contact the homeowners association to see what they could do. We didn't go on vacation to have to deal with this! After a couple of days the noise stopped and the owner did refund us $200/day for the noise but his initial response still left a bad taste in our mouths. I guess he didn't like us either because he told us not to come back.
