An overall good choice for your family stay! Kids loved being close to the beach then going to the pool. Has all the things you need for your stay, appliances, including beach toys, snorkel, boogie board etc. Air mattress was very comfortable, and bed firm.
Reason I gave 4/5:
- Air Conditioner is only in the living area so it gets hot in the bedroom. I tried leaving window open but then roosters around property woke me up at 3.30am. I feel listing can be clearer about location of AC. Also, very few listings have AC in every room, so I should have confirmed.
- The wifi was terrible. Frequent disconnection, slow speed. I even got errors like "access point full, too many devices" just from 1 phone and 1 tablet. In their house manual they say wifi is provided by the kihei kai nani management and is not their responsibility. I feel they should provide their own wifi.

My ohana and i came to maui from hawaii island or the Big Island as most people call it for my dads wedding. I lived here on maui for some time as a young child with my dad and miss just being able to just walk and or drive a short distance to the beach. I really liked our condo experience here at kihei kai nani and working with Mr. & Mrs Lau. I would highly recommand this place and unit to others.

Perfect location! It is about 20-25 minutes away from the airport and very close to all other tourist attraction places. It's literally next to a shopping center with convenience store, restaurants, etc... --just a few steps away. Beach is right across the street-- just a few steps away, small waves so it is safe to swim, warm water. The condo unit is in the back of the condo complex, so it is very quiet with no traffic noises. The condo unit is very clean, filled with many utensils, pans, pots, rice cooker, coffee maker, a cutting board, knife, many condiments, a clean stove, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, towels, soap, iron board, many blankets, sheet sets, plenty of pillows, very comfortable and big size bed, queen sofa bed, dining table, coffee table, TV, DVD player, cable service, internet, lots of books, fans in living room & bedroom, 2 deck of playing cards, (4 body boards, umbrella, chairs, 2 bamboo beach mats for beach, buckets, shovels for kids to play with beach sands, AC and a ceiling fan is in the living room and can cool the entire unit but we need to turn on the ceiling fan and the standing fan in the bedroom because it has no AC in the bedroom, the best part is the washer and dryer is in the unit and a lot of HE detergent---very convenience. The condo unit gave us a feeling of a home away from home!

This condo is well suited for a couple. It's comfortable and has everything you need to settle in quickly. The lanai is particularly lovely as it is spacious, located in a quiet area of complex and has comfy furniture. We enjoyed the wonderful ocean cross breezes and made good use of ceiling fans but didn't even need to turn on the AC once.
And , it's also in a convenient spot in South Kihei - near beaches and shops (all walking distance).

Condo exceeded all expectation. Easy walking distance to amazing Maui beaches plus shops and restaurants. Unit was clean on arrival. Kitchen had all the necessities for all our cooking and grilling. Plenty of supplies for the beach. Super comfortable king bed. Owner and property staff very easy to communicate with. Couldn't have asked for better!!! Would absolutely stay here again!!!!

This was our second stay in 162. Great communication with the owners. We love that it is towards the back of the condo complex. It's quiet and within walking distance to everything you need.

The condo is located far away from the busy Kihei street, so it’s pretty private and quiet. It is located literally across the street from the beach ( walking distance). There are many gift shops , food trucks, food market places near by . The tv is small but if you’re watching tv in Maui on vacation you’re doing it wrong . There is also a washer and dryer which was very convenient especially if you go to the beach a lot . Everything you would need is in this condo from toilet paper , to laundry detergent , sunblock etc, vacuum cleaner and beach accessories. There’s a swimming pool nearby if you don’t know how to swim. Checking in & out was a breeze / hassle free. There is ac in the living room but not one in the bedroom which was the one con about this condo but overall it was a nice spot for the price.

Really enjoyed staying here. The location is great, just across the street from Kamaole Beach 2. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils you might need for cooking. Zheila was quick to respond to our queries. Would recommend staying here.

Mike and Z were wonderful to work with. With all that is happening at the time with the Covid-19, they were very accommodating and let us stay in the condo extra hours after check out so we could maintain social distancing. The condo was very clean and comfortable. We loved having beach chairs, boogie board, cooler, all the supplies needed for a day at the beach. The location is fantastic. Yummy restaurants in walking distance and beach access right across the street. I would highly recommend this place.

Nice condo, great location, very quiet. I liked the extra fans to keep the air flowing. We used the the beach chairs for watching sunset on the beach, and also had fun with the boogie boards. Great way to end our Hawaii vacation.

Hi! Mike and Z: It was my pleasure to stay in your condo, good location and convenience to travel around Maui. We had good time to celebrate our anniversary, birthday and family gathering in your condo. Our son already said he want to come next time and my husband called this condo is "home". Our trip was significantly enhanced by our stay here. Very clean, very significantly equipped with high end snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, coolers, mini appliances, spices, air conditioning and much more. Our time spent in Maui was completely worry-free mostly because we had a fantastic place to stay! It is in a great spot, central to all Maui attractions making it easy to get to and from everything. The beach across the street is one of the nicer beaches. When we come back to Maui, this will be our home. Mahalo Mike & Z!

We were in Maui for our family reunion and this condo was perfect. Upon check-in, the front office staff were very friendly. They even gave us fruits harvested from the property - kalamansi, bananas, mangoes. This unit on the ground floor, so it really helped Larry with his bad foot. Centralized location, fully stocked, clean and comfortable. Although we didn't spend too much time in the condo, due to busy family events, we looked forward to coming home to our beautiful condo. But were able to watch a movie on Netflix. Even fell asleep on one of the recliners! The bed was so comfortable, making bedtime heavenly! Appreciated the washer and dryer - didn't have to do laundry when we returned home. We used the kitchen for breakfasts to save money from eating out. Able to have coffee, fruits and breads. Kihei is great - close enough to Lahaina and Kahului. Owners Mike and Z answered emails promptly, so communication was great. We will definitely stay here again! Mahalo Mike and Z!

We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks on Maui in this very comfortable condo! The furniture was comfy, the bed was great and the ground floor location was convenient. The beach gear was really nice (brand new backpack beach chairs!) and nice snorkeling gear. Thank you for letting us rent your aloha home!

This condo had everything we needed! It was conveniently located near the beach and nice restaurants. It was easy to get to the highway to get to roads taking you anywhere on the island you want to go. Will definitely recommend this to others wanting to make Kihei the center of their stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It had all the amenities of home with plenty of space. And appreciated the ease of a first floor condo with convenient parking. Kihei is a central location on the island making it easy to get to different areas. This condo is across the street from beautiful beach parks and walking distance to good restaurants. Working with the owners was easy - they provided really good information. We'll be back!

Mike and Z's condo is wonderfully equipped to meet all of your home and adventure needs! I travelled with my 21, 15, and 11 year old children. We could walk to the beach every day and walk to wonderful shops and restaurants nearby. From Netflix and WiFi to coolers and beach chairs we were perfectly accommodated to do everything we needed without having to invest in further supplies. They are great to communicate with and to rent from and I will most definitely return. Our stay absolutely felt like home away from home. We already miss it!

My husband and I had a fabulous 10-day stay in Michael and Z's wonderful condo and we absolutely loved this place! Super clean with tasteful décor. The condo is beautifully adorned with pictures and keepsakes. It was airy and had good ventilation. We were there in early February and didn't need to turn on the a/c. Comfortable beds and furniture, especially the two recliner chairs in the family room. We did not cook much but the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need to prepare a home cooked meal. The restaurants within walking distance are very good too. The bathroom was nice and clean. I have to say also...fantastic pressure in the shower! Having an in-house washer/dryer was bonus and really came in handy. The condo was equipped with Tommy Bahamas chairs, umbrella, beach towels, cooler, boogie boards and such, which makes beach going across the street, a 5-minute walk from your doorstep, easy and convenient. Perfect for viewing the amazing sunset each night also. Plenty of mid-day sun on the Lanai with comfortable lanai furniture over looking tropical flowers, trees and a green lawn. The keyless entry was very convenient and easy to use, as the secure High-speed WiFi, fast, wonderful all around! This condo is on the first floor, no lugging luggage up stairs. A super PLUS for us! It is also in the perfect location in the complex, far enough away from the street which is quiet, no traffic noise, just the sound of the birds. I enjoyed waking to the birds singing each morning and taking a short stroll to my favorite coffee shop, Café @ La Plage. Latte was amazingly good, I was addicted after one cup,...sorry Starbucks. Our morning walks were fantastic, with the sun to our backs we saw whales pounding their tales further out in the ocean. Location of the complex is ideal, within walking distance of many shops, and excellent beaches! The owners, Mike and Z were lovely hosts, communication was always easy and friendly. Mahalo and we will be back, and back, and back again!

Enjoyed our stay. Would suggest putting a tight seal around the screen door to keep the "criters" out. Many other property owners at Kai Nanai have and it is a good investment.
