Me and my wife loved this apt
It was so cozy
We spent most of the time out of the apt and would only sleep and come back to sleep and to get ready
But we sat on balcony and watch Maui go by
The pool and hot tub was great
The owner was communicative
And also suggested places to go.
We didn't used kitchen but we kept cold drinks in fridge
Anthony also had all the beach gear we needed
Chairs etc..
And the bed was the one of the best beds I slept on as well so awesome
I welcome anyone to come to this apt.

•only 1 plastic cup to use in the kitchen
•everything in the kitchen felt a bit dirty/grimy so I had to wash everything before use and I even had to buy a sponge since there were no cleaning products supplied other than dish soap
•laundry room was not working which I was not informed of but the laundromat was close by to drive to and it was very clean to use
•quite a busy road so couldn’t really enjoy the balcony
•checkout was at 11, took the trash out at 10, was automatically locked out, lucked out by asking vacationers next door, took an hour to get in

Our stay in the Condo was a great base to start from to out exploring and then return to. The beach is across the street and a great 2 mile walk along its coastline R/T. A hotel across the street and walking distance has a bar and restaurant for a night out. The owner was very communicative to our needs. The bed is the most amazing comfort ever. Also, there is limited glassware for water and other drinks, so we recommend to bring a package of large plastic cups if you are planning an extended stay, otherwise, you'll be washing the one glass a lot. The pool was a great place to relax at the end of the day. One thing though, there are no laundry facilities on the premises as it is under renovation with no completion time in site. However, there is a laundromat in town, south of the condo, on E. Lipoa St., one street south of Longs on the left side. The cost is eight dollars for one washer and one dryer, but a very clean and efficient place to do laundry. We would highly recommend this place.

Coming from Waikiki, I was so looking forward to the respite of a condo where I could chill, maybe cook a meal, watch some movies. Not here. The only air conditioning was a massively undersized portable unit with a hose exhausting out of the window. It could not keep up and the unit was often unusable because of the heat. Only fan was a ceiling fan which just blows the hot air from the high ceilings down. We went to Walmart and bought sone fans just so we could sleep. When I contacted the owner, his suggestion was to open the windows. This was my first venture into the VRBO world and will be my last. It’s hotels for me from now on. Aside from that, the unit was clean, but well worn. Furniture was pretty banged up. The wicker stuff on the balcony was dry rotten. Great location though.

The unit is small and cozy, across the street from a pretty beach. Restaurants are a 15 min walk away (I suggest Diamond's for an amazing value!).
There is no A/C in the place, except for a portable unit by the patio door; with west-facing patio, the sun shone in most of the afternoon, and that poor thing was fighting a losing battle. I worried it'd be too warm to sleep ... but a strategically aimed box fan really made it all comfy!
The closet contains some beach gear -- it was perfect for what i needed. Highly recommend.

This location had some pluses. Really close to good shopping and good food. Close to good beaches (including one right across the street) and the hot tub and pool were nice! It was also a great price for Hawaii properties
It had a lot of cons that people should consider when booking…the whole place felt very cheap. The towels were old, and the beach towels had rust spots on them. In addition one of them was the exact same as a resort near by and I believe they came from there. The kitchen stuff was all mismatched, the forks and spoons had nicks (cut my mouth) and there was only 1 bowl in the whole kitchen. The toiletries included didn’t even have enough shampoo for more than 3 days for 2 people and we had to buy our own. The beach equipment was falling apart, and the whole room was visibly dirty/dusty when we arrived.
It is also loved right on the road so traffic can be heard, as well as being second floor and so the sun shone in in the afternoon making it pretty hot. The air conditioner wasn’t ever able to cool it to even 72 degrees.

studio very small and outdated, list as air conditioned however all that was provided was a portable cooling unit that was WAY too small for the area. It was so hot on our arrival that we couldnt sleep and took us 2 days to get the room cool.Very old and outdated looking not welcoming at all. Instructions left in a book on table with incorrect info. Given a laundry room key to a laundry that doesn't operate and then after numerous calls from us told it was the pool key. Very frustrating. Hosts very uncommunicative and hard to get a hold of. Would not use again and definitely not recommend.

This was a great location to start each day from. Nice farmer's market just north, and some fabulous beaches to the south (across the street was pretty nice as well). The only bummer was the lack of any beach towels... could've been jacked by previous guests, but we figured there would be some there so we didn't bring any of our own. Overall, I'd consider this a 4.5 star location!

This nice and quaint studio is great for a place to sleep after a full day outdoors. Fully equipped with Beach activities such as boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, snorkeling gears, beach umbrellas, etc… Would be nice to have supplies of extra towels especially if you’re there for more than 2 days. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This apartment is situated right in front of main road so it is very noisy(unless you close all windows and turn on air conditioning).
Could use a bit of loving, the bed pillows and bedding are old and used, the apartment is dark, overall 3/5 cleansiness. On the other hand very well equipped kotchen and accessories, snorkelling gear, parasols and coolers for beach, tennis racquets etc.

Our 3 night stay was as expected. The condo is in a convenient location just a short 15 minute drive from Kihei and central to most activities. We appreciated the kitchen and cooked in so we didn't try many of the eating options in Kihei. We also didn't utilize the pool/spa as we usually returned in the evenings tired from our daytime activities. It looked as if parking could get a little full, but we never had troubles finding a spot near the unit.

Nice complex with a great location so close to the water. If water isn’t your thing then it is a pretty simple drive to get to anything that Kihei can offer you. The room is a pretty good size. The closet has the basic beach needs like chairs if that is on your to do list.

It was filthy. The air conditioner was a portable unit that never cooled the condo. It was hard to sleep as it was so hot in the condo. The owner put the access code somewhere where neither us or VRBO could find it. Because of our complaints the owner sent emails telling us to find another

Review. To do that would have made us spend an additional $1,000 which we refused to do. This was my 4th stay with VRBO and the others were awesome. This one was not awesome actually it put us under great distress during a time we should have been relaxing and enjoying beautiful Maui. I asked for a 50% refund due to the issues which he adamantly refused. I still believe some of our fee should be reimbursed.

This condo was good. It was a little dirty in the kitchen area. It had good beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrella to use. You could barely see the ocean from the Lanai. It was walking distance to the ocean, but not great walking to shops or restaurants. You’ll definitely need a car. The people were great to work with.

The Kihei Bay Surf facility was great! It was easy to get to and access our room. We felt safe in the area we stayed. The booking process was a breeze, and we were pretty independent outside of a couple questions to the owner. He was very prompt and descriptive in his responses.
The room was amazing. Plenty of space to lounge around in and having the microwave and fridge made it easy for us to have our own food rather than eating out all the time. Very clean and organized. The owner left some guide books about Maui which was a life saver. I wish I would've had my own personal one. The owner made it very resourceful.
Our room was right along the main road. It was good because we could see the ocean/bay, but traffic was a bit noisy.
Owner made beach items available (i.e. cooler, chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear). We didn't use them but thought it was a great courtesy to offer to guests.
We were very comfortable and would recommend this location to friends. The price was reasonable. We'd return.

We have stayed here twice and will book it again next year. Right across the street to the beach and the whale sanctuary/visitors center. It has everything you need and right on the bus line, with a bus stop right out front. Anthony is great at communicating, responds quickly and is happy to make sure your needs are met.

As other reviews stated, you get what you pay for which is why other units in the same locale can be quite a bit pricier. We planned day trips so weren’t hanging out all day. Decor is tired, needs paint and it’s a studio, so not where I’d want to spend my whole day. That said, the balcony faces the beach, albeit across the street and through the park. Traffic noise didn’t bother us at all, and te beach across the street is great for walks, swimming and turtle viewing. Easy parking and close to everything. Pool area was large and clean. The ceiling fan was not working and you pretty much needed to keep the a/c cranked. One issue we had was one we were inadvertently locked out and tried to call the local manager, we got a message saying she no longer represented that property fortunately VRBO responded and solved our problem. Another reviewer commented that when they attempted to return to the unit to use the bathroom on the way to the airport, try found their entry code no longer worked even thought it was before check out. On our last morning we went for a walk on the beach and returned at 9:30 to find our code no longer worked, except that we hadn’t even packed (check out at 11). Fortunately due to our previous mishap locking ourselves out, we had Anthony’s number and he quickly texted us a new code. If you’re looking for a very reasonably priced place to stay with easy beach access and proximity to airport, shopping & restaurants, this works. We also loved how easy it was to get to Paia, Makawao and Makena. After leaving here we headed to Napili where our rate was more than twice as much (and we got what we paid for!) but from there, everything’s an hour drive so for day trips Keihi is very convenient.

Perfect location, across from a wonderful beach, with the Linai looking over the beach and museum buildings. Very clean and well kept with decent kitchen amenities and plenty of towels, including some beach towels. Also some beach 'toys' in the closet. Our only suggestions would be to remove some of the extra cushions, books, and decorations to leave a bit more room for guest bags, and to include a blanket for the pull out couch. But we had a great stay and would go back again. Thanks for making your property available.

If you're looking for a cheap, decent place to sleep and shower because you're going to spend most of your time exploring Maui, this is the property for you. There were some hairbrushes with hair left in them in one of the drawers, which was a little off-putting, but we just ended up not using that drawer. Unit is located on the main road so it can get noisy from traffic. Location was central to everything that we had planned for our vacation. Overall, would stay here again.

Read reviews that said scratchy sheets and brought our own but didn’t have to use them. We was left with one towel for two people for 7 days and had to contact the owner but it got fixed quickly. The air conditioner had a hard time cooling in late afternoon and the portable fan was broke where you change the height setting so we ended up putting it on the dining table to be able to use at night. I would recommend they clean a bit thoroughly. There were hairbrushes left in the bathroom as well as enemas under the sink. I think the book that is in the room needs updated to include pool code, what the key is for as well as some recommendations on restaurants and grocery stores. But that is just my opinion. Overall a good stay and friendly people.

I did not come stay at this condo expecting a 5 star resort - I came here for the price. I would like to start by pointing out the two most important and positive takeaways from my review:
1. The condo is in a really great location on Maui.
2. I would likely stay here again.
However, I do have a couple of awareness items for folks considering to stay here. None of these things are deal breakers for me, but they might be for others. For starters, the property listing says this condo has ocean views and air conditioning, but I would say those statements are a bit of a stretch. The ocean views are mostly obstructed and the AC is a portable unit which does not provide the same cooling power. I do not recommend spending time in the condo during the prime of the day as it is extremely warm and the portable AC merely takes the edge off during those hours, but that's a non-issue for people like me who are out and about enjoying the island during those times. Part of the window above the front door is broken, which doesn't help seal the cool air inside the space – easy fix! I couldn't find a cutting board, which made sandwich prep a little difficult, and the bed is not my personal idea of comfort. There are some tiny ants hanging around, primarily in the kitchen and bathroom that I saw during my stay – it happens! Not a disturbing amount, but I know that even one would push some people over the edge. Lastly, the floor appeared clean to the naked eye as I am sure it was either swept or vacuumed, however I don’t think it had been mopped in some time because every time I got out of the shower and walked around the condo barefoot, my feet would appear dirty on the bottoms.
In the end, I had a great stay in Maui and appreciate the hosts welcoming us into their home. I would probably stay here again because I am not someone who seeks out the fanciest accommodations when I am on vacation as I like to save my money to do fun activities that make my trips memorable. I wanted to share my truthful experience for others who need to understand that you get what you pay for. I hope my feedback is helpful to both the hosts and future renters.

Condo was amazing to stay at! We loved walking across the street to the beach to watch the sunset and all of the turtles. Because the lanai was facing the street and the ocean, it was enjoyable to eat breakfast out there to start the day. The kitchen was well stocked with a plethora of seasonings and had quality pans.
The only "negative" thing about the place, was one of the legs on the coffee table fell off on the first night. Upon further inspection, it looks like the leg was previously broken and was glued back on, so it's possible that a previously traveler caused the damage and tried to cover it up without the owner's knowledge.

The property was fairly clean and good location. There were NO beach towels. The snorkel gear is missing a set of fins and the other pair was broken. The floor mat for the bathroom was horrible and should be thrown out. There was No soap in the bathroom. The key that was left for the pool area is for laundry only. I was told by a manager on duty that they haven’t used a key in over two years. She did let us in and gave us the key code for the lockbox. The “manager” listed in the welcome book has a disconnected number so couldn’t contact anyone for towels, questions etc.
It was a good location. The owner needs to update the things he lists as being in the condo. For example, get beach towels if you have that noted. The snorkel gear should be functional. The bathroom should have a bar of soap. The cooler should be cleaned. The beach chairs are old and need to be replaced. The welcome book should be updated with accurate phone numbers and key codes.
The owner has never responded when contacted for goods/questions. I would have communicated all of this to him instead of writing on here. So , I hope he sees this and fixes those issues and then the condo will be as stated.

We rented this place last minute because of the storms and picked it because of the pool and the beach. The owner failed to mention when booking that the pool was closed and the beach contaminated along with the street being closed/filled with mud so if we used the lanai there was dust and a sewer stench.
I know the storms were a mess, but honest communication here would have been ideal prior to accepting our booking.
Overall the place was a dry place to rest our head and a decent location in better circumstances. It was clean and the property manager was helpful and host was responsive.
The kitchen is well stocked along with the beach equipment, the pool at least looked nice and it’s walkability to other things is a plus.
The sheets do need to be replaced because although I did not find them to be scratchy like others, they did have a few blood stains on them from other guests even though they had been washed.
The price of this place saved it a star.

You do get an ocean view from the deck albeit severely limited. But, right across the street is a public park and you can just walk across the road pretty easily and see a beautiful Maui sunset over the water.

The best way to describe this property is “you get what you pay for”. As Hawaiian prices go, this is a very reasonable price. However, the condo is VERY basic, lacking such things as a bath mat and enough silverware for more than one meal. Whether you consider the bed comfortable is a matter of personal preference, but my husband and I had trouble sleeping on it because it was so soft and lumpy. And I would strongly suggest bringing your own pillow, if at all possible. The location is nice, in that it’s just across the street from the fish pond where it’s fun to watch the turtles come in at night and it’s centrally located for exploring the island. However, Kihei Rd is very busy all night long and the park across the street is very noisy so it’s a good thing there is air conditioning and a ceiling fan, because leaving the windows or patio door open is not really an option. This property could definitely do with a little TLC, but it’s not bad for the price.

Thank you so much for providing a affordable staycation for me and my fiance' we had a wedding to attend in kihei and live in kula so not having to drive from a celebration late at night made it easier on us. Thankful for no upcharges or hidden added fees. Great communication. It's hard as local to afford a staycation when hotels and other places are charging tourism fees, high cleaning fees, and not to mention asking for deposits on top of Hawaiis tax that's already high.

I had a great time in Kihei for the weekend. The Studio/Condo was perfect. Had all the amenities you could ask for in a vacation rental (inside the studio of course). Most importantly, it had a solid AC unit! The pool/complex amenities aren't much, but you don't come here for that. My only gripe is that the sheets and blankets were scratchy as if they were very old and washed too much where the fibers were broken down and rough. Other than that, I had a great stay. I recommend especially for the price.

Great spot! We just needed a place to sleep so we could get the most of our stay on Maui. This place was that and more. Plenty of room to relax, the AC worked great, pool and hot tub were nice to relax and wind down after a long day. The place also had coolers to take food and drinks to the beach as well as boogie boards, snorkeling gear, and beach chairs! Local food and stores maybe 1 mile away. Very convenient! This cozy place was once loved a long time ago. It had not been updated for a long time. The place was filthy. Sand in the floor. Hair in tub and food hair balls on floor. Bed is awful and we did not sleep a majority of our time. Coach is gross and the pillows were yellow and stained. Comforter was very old. No love has gone in to keeping this once quaint place up. Very disappointed. Came home day two to a roach in the kitchen.

We enjoyed our 9 day stay in June 2020. The apartment was very clean and welcoming. We arrived early and asked to have an early check in, but the local manager was not able to accommodate the request, which was fine. We just went to a movie and then checked in after. The location was perfect for beach access, shopping and excellent restaurants. The bed was very comfortable. All the beach toys, chairs and coolers made our beach days MUCH better! The sliding door and balcony was used daily. The view was beautiful, especially at sunset. I would recommend this location to any family of 2-4. The only issue was the air conditioner which seemed a bit small for the room. It had to work real hard to cool down the place in the afternoon, but by bedtime it cooled enough to sleep.

Anthony was accommodating and responsive to requests. Nice location. We used the gear provided and that was really nice.
It would have been good to have a few more forks or dishes... And there was some cleaning needed - we scrubbed the bathroom the first day and some bedding has spots and stains. Great beach towels!

We enjoyed the quiet and easy access that is condo provided. The pool, hot tub and barbecue area are clean and close to the unit. The bed is very comfortable. There are beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, and snorkel equipment provided. Nice place to stay for a long awaited vacation.

Pros:
- great location, walk across the street to the beach
- check out the sleeping turtles on the rocks in the morning
- pool and hot tub are nice
- ocean view through the trees
- parking not a problem
- bed was comfortable
Cons:
- condo could be really nice but desperately needs a refresh
- peeling paint on the ceiling, lots of patches not painted or painted in color that doesn’t match
- lots of cobwebs and dust on vaulted ceiling and ceiling fan
- armies of sugar ants in the bathroom as reported by others, really needs attention
- bathroom towels left for us were supposed to be white but had lots of brown stains (gross), also the only two face cloths provided were threadbare
- too much furniture in a small space and all extremely dated
- would never stay here in the summer as small (and loud) window ac unit will not cool place
- lots of road noise
Would I stay here again? Perhaps, if nothing better is available.
FYI - the cleaning company showed up at 0955 (check out time is 1100). I did tell them to clean the cobwebs and dust, but I bet they don’t.

I really liked staying here. You can see the ocean but it is across the road and through some buildings. The condo is clean and we really apprechiated that there were beach chairs and boards to use. Between the road noise and the air conditioner turning on and off it could be very noise. And you only have one bath towel for the week so make sure you air it out and dry it or it will start to smell. Overall great value for the price and we would stay here again.

Great location close to the beach and restaurant. The apartment is an economy condo, has all the basics but nothing luxury. Perfect for a couple or a family with a small child. There is not a lot of options for kitchen supplies, but enough to cook small simple meals. Great if you are looking for a reasonable priced place to stay on Maui. The condo could use a deep cleaning. The beach items were nice. Was missing a small cooler, they provided a larger cooler on wheels, but for quick trips a smaller cooler would of been nice. Overall was happy with the rental. The unit is a second story condo facing the main road into and out of Kihei so be prepared for traffic noise but with the slider closed and the AC on we hardly noticed it. The location was perfect for us, directly across the street from the Humpback Whale Sanctuary Center. Many turtles were sighted and kids are safe in the protected breakwater cove.
The condo isn't new but we weren't expecting a four star hotel at 1/10th the price. Great kitchen that saved us a bundle by not eating out every meal. The facilities include a pool, hot tub, tennis court and laundry facilities (we could have packed half as much). Great beach chairs and towels were a nice touch.
The bed was a little soft and the walls could use a coat of paint but if you're not in the market for perfection but ready to find it on Maui, this is a great place to stay. Great internet too!

Big issue is that someone came in to condo while we were gone to drop off wash cloths, could of hung on door. The beach chairs are old and worn out. Only 2 beach towels. No wash cloths and only 2 towels for two people for a week. Check in was delayed 1.5 hours because room was not ready. The toaster did not work. Very, very loud road noise all night. There are small bugs in bathroom.

We arrived to an UNBEARABLY HOT room, AC was not running. Was only given 2 towels/wash clothes to last an entire week. The welcome package we were to receive to get us started (soap, kleenex, toilet tissue, etc) was not in the room, and the trash had NOT been emptied. When we tried to watch TV the first night, there was no signal, and we did not have TV the entire week (Now I know, I did not come to Maui to watch TV, but it is nice to be able to see the weather or some news in the evening). So, we decided to watch a DVD, only to find out the DVD player was broken as well. The shower curtain was moldy, and the bath tub mat did not have any suction, and would slide all over the tub. After a few days, we also realized that there were a LOT of cars parking the resorts parking lot WITHOUT permits and we saw people walking from across the street to our lot to get their cars.

Nice place that is right across from the beach. There was mold on the shower curtain and the shower doesn’t stay hot for very long. The shower head doesn’t move at all either. It was descently clean but needs improvement. Looks like sand was just swept to the corners. The towels had a smell to them as well - as if they were in the washer sitting too long. The balcony needs to be cleaned as well for the next guest.

My fiancé and I wanted to have a little get away trip and this condo was perfect! Anthony is very responsive, informative and kind about the process. No joking around when they say they have beach supplies for you to use and the view from the patio is beautiful. Close to everything, very convinient, and the cal king was great to come home to after a long day of adventuring! Would definitely recommend and stay again!

My husband, son and myself stayed for 5 nights. It's in a great location. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and tennis court. It was clean and nice, but we did find ourselves being crowded at times, even with only 3 people. It would get pretty warm in there in the late afternoons. We bought a couple of fans, took one home with us and donated the other one to the room. It was really nice to have the beach chairs, snorkel equipment and boogie boards. A few extra bath towels would have been great, but we managed. We loved Maui, and enjoyed staying at this condo.

I loved the condo. It was a great size and perfect for an island hopping getaway. The view wasn't as good as expecting but I wasn't in the room much so didnt mind.
Two things of potential concern. The shower was very slippery when getting in or out and the bath mat slide ever time stepped on it. No falls but potential. Also, the front door keypad needs to have the screws tightened on the interior side.
Other than that it was great! Thanks for allowing me to share your rental!

The property was beautiful. The only thing that was not great was how quickly the management (I'm guessing she was management) became upset at guests who came to visit me, and went with me for a swim in the pool.
Other than that, I was very satisfied, and will recommend VRBO to friends who visit Hawaii.

Everything was wonderful, Anthony was very good about returning emails before our stay and property was exactly as described. We took the chairs out to the beach to watch the sunset just across the street and everyone we met in the complex were very nice. Very safe area and perfect location for going to Kihei or over to Lahaina. We will definitely stay here again, thank you for opening your home to us. We enjoyed our stay and it was just perfect for everything we did!! Mahalo and Aloha, until we visit again!! ❤️❤️
