Great location, just a block off the beach. The View was the selling point. Bathroom lighting wasn't the greatest and lighting in shower was way to dark. Beach chairs, towels and umbrellas were a great touch. I'd definitely stay here again. Loved Everything about Hawaii and recommend this location. Bikes available right outside the Condo. Coffee shop in lobby was AWESOME, as well as the little store next to elevators. Staff was friendly and the pool, hot tub was clean and welcoming. Great dining, massage and adventures near by. Everything's in walking distancebor a quick Uber/Lift ride. The unit is spacious with plenty of room. I wouldn't say this was completely renovated, lamps fixtures were a bit outdated. Shower curtain was a bit to short, water was always on the floor. Regardless I ENJOYED my 60th Bday Stay!

We loved the condo. It's location was great for walking to the beach to see the sunset each night or walk the Waikiki stores. The condo was clean and well equipped. Michalyn even came up with snorkeling equipment for us. She was awesome.
There was only one disappointment. The main bed's mattress is terribly soft and saggy. My husband and I are thin people, but we literally rolled to to the middle of the bed. We left a message with the property manager but received no reply. I ended up sleeping in the extra bed so we could both get sleep. I would not recommend this condo to someone until the mattress is replaced. If replaced, I would stay there again in a heart beat and recommend it highly.

We really enjoyed our quick stay here! We are a family of 4 adults and felt like we had plenty of room. Loved the ocean view, the apartment was clean, had everything we needed, and the free parking was a bonus! Communication with property management was always quick, friendly, and helpful! This condo has a great location within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the beach. The building is quite dated, but the condo is relatively updated. There are a few quirks to it. The main bed isn’t great and slopes to the middle. There also isn’t a dishwasher. More towels would be nice since there isn’t a washer and dryer in the unit. We did enjoy the view of the ocean from the balcony! And free parking is a plus!

We saw this unit online, and booked it for two reasons: the fantastic ocean view from the lanai (as seen in the photos) and the building’s location 1 block from the beach. The view and the location were great, and everything else about the rental suited our needs perfectly during our stay.
Our booking and check-in process went smoothly, thanks to excellent communications with the unit manager, Dana. The on-site managers (Banyan Tower 1–4th and 5th floors) were similarly helpful with all our requests.
The kitchen had all the tools and appliances we needed for our two-month stay, and there were plenty of towels too.
The building’s hot tubs and sauna were a nice treat—we used them almost every day. Each floor had a clothes washer/dryer at the end of the hallway. You could download the app or use coins--we were able to exchange dollars for quarters at the office on the 4th floor.
The only negative feedback: the public areas in the building could have been kept cleaner (this might be a temporary post-pandemic staffing issue only).
Overall a fantastic stay! We’ll be back!

Excellent unit. Well equipped. Nice view of both the ocean and the mountains. Practical layout. Will definitely put this place near the top of my options list when returning to Waikiki.
If I have to find one downside I would say the queen bed mattress is starting to sink a bit in the middle. Still managed to sleep well, but others may see it as a bigger issue than us. May be worth considering a new mattress so picky reviewers have absolutely zero reasons to give anything under 5 stars.

Property was close to beach and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I didn’t realize how busy Waikiki would be so we spent much of our time driving up to the North Shore and other places on the island which was fine because I don’t mind driving. Building and parking was easy to navigate. Would stay again if I ever find myself back on Oahu.

Our stay in this property was great! There are a few things that need fixing which I will communicate to the owner privately, but other than that, the location was fabulous to the beach and heart of the shopping and dining district. The views from the balcony are spectacular! It was a perfect spot for us to stay and explore Honolulu and Oahu!

Definitely a great spot. Clean, beautiful view. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, beach. Everything you need is available. Pots, pans, utensils, trash bags, plenty of towels etc. I added to the collection of buckets and sand instruments for the children. Parking in structure was a bit frustrating. Experienced long waits just to get inside structure. I’m not sure if there was some type of construction going on above our room but that was a bit of a nuisance. Fridge periodically makes some loud noises which may startle whomever is sitting/sleeping on the couch/bed. Overall, my girls and I had a very good experience.

My family LOVED the condo. Great quiet part of town, tons of stores around (Honolulu cookie company, ABC stores, etc.) Restaurants were easy walks, as was the beach. The balcony views included the ocean, city and mountains. The condo had everything you need, but if you need something else, the onsite mini-mart had supplies in reasonable sizes for your stay. The bigger bed needs a new mattress, but that is our only complaint. Laundry room across from Condo and you can use an app for laundry. Floor 28 renovations are completed and elevators were very fast. I would definitely stay here if we get back to Oahu again.

Loved staying here and will book it again when I next visit Waikiki. Beautiful view and we saw a whale spouting and splashing from our balcony one morning! So great to walk one block to the beach where we could swim and do water aerobics in the ocean with Diamond Head watching over us.
The only glitch was that VRBO sent us check-in information that was for a different condo, so when we tried to check in we couldn't. I am so grateful that the owner, Dana responded immediately to my message to her through the VRBO site and gave me correct instructions. Other than that brief issue, it was a wonderful stay!

We were overall happy campers despite my list of cons being more detailed. We knew we were not going into a luxury and felt we got more than we paid for.
The pros- location, great view, very responsive and friendly owner, the price, has all the basics one needs for a comfortable vacation.
The cons- some equipment needs updating- the tea kettle didn’t work, the hair dryer made I’ll sounds as if about to explode, the sofa bed was sinking on one end and frame felt on another (my kid still slept sweetly on it). The house cleaner could have wiped the floor under the beds- they were easy to move- my kid crawled under and it was gross.

This condo was very comfortable and clean, as well as very convenient and just about everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. The night view from the balcony with city lights was as beautiful as the ocean view (not full). Dana was very quick to respond to any inquiries I sent and super accommodating. I really appreciate her understanding and niceness. I have nothing to complain and recommend this condo to anyone especially if you have a car. But if I may add for future guests, parking is very narrow (typical of city parking) and sometimes hard to find a spot at night. Bed covering was new and different from the picture, but we loved light blue pattern even better. Thank you for everything, Dana!

First of all, Dana is an amazing owner! Previous renters had broken one of the beds within the unit and Dana was able to replace and install a new bed within the 24 hours between that rental and when we showed up. She literally saved the day for us! Amazing host! The unit is exactly as described and works well for families and couples. Waikiki Beach is a very short walk away. The pool deck is nice with plenty of chairs/tables. The unit had everything we needed and then some. If you are looking for a view, the sight from the balcony is true Hawaii -- we even saw a double rainbow the first morning after our arrival. Great welcome to Oahu. Parking is also super-easy with attached entrance to the condo building. Definitely a great find!

If you want a roomy, comfortable space where you can walk everywhere, you're all set here. The room was large and clean and surprisingly quiet, surprising because when we saw the building's hallways, which looked like they had been neglected since 1980, smelled all the smoke, and heard the shouting, we were nervous. But the outside is in stark contrast to the apartment's interior, which is great as is. The views are pretty good too. The check-in process had some snafus. The elevators can take a while. But ultimately this was a very good deal for it's proximity to Waikiki, downtown, and, very important, the free parking.

Dana responded and fixed an issue we had with the number of beds upon check-in. The unit was very clean and comfortable. Best part of Waikiki Banyan- the price. Our individual condo was very nice. Lots of space to spread, seemed liked the bathroom had been recently updated. Nice tiled shower, downside was in the listing pictures it showed a bathtub and there is not a bathtub. Need to update listing pictures.

Actual condo building needs work. I think they are doing some renovations but we never saw anyone working. They hallway carpets are dirty and all the baseboards have been pulled off and not replaced. No restaurant on property.

Parking was amazing, so glad parking was included because parking lot was full and public parking was no longer allowed after 7pm. Place was 10 mins walk to International Market, about 6-8 mins walk to the beach.

We had a fantastic stay (mom, dad and two teen girls). The pictures are accurate - it is updated, very clean, and well cared for. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher, but this was no problem for the small volume of kitchen items that we used and cleaned, however might be important for some families. The sun deck is great for sitting with your coffee, and does not get direct sun until briefly at the end of the day - 4:30pm in winter time. The condo is in Tower 1 and faces away from Diamond Head. The owner is very responsive to any feedback - it was a pleasure to find this gem.

Nicely located two blocks away from the beach. The ocean view from the bedroom is fantastic. The condo is dated despite the renovation. The air-conditioning unit is rather noisy. The owner is very responsive. We ran into electrical power problem during our stay and was resolved within 45 minutes.

My family and I go to Hawaii every 2-3 years and always stay at the Banyan for its location and pool deck. This is the third unit we've tried here and the best so far. It has sleeping for 5, which is definitely helpful with kids. The kitchen is fully stocked (dishware and appliances), and I love that there are plenty of towels - both bath and beach. I didn't find it necessary to pay for the mid-week towel service, though I did throw some of the face towels in with my mid-stay wash.
I also appreciated the dresser and the shelving in the living room. It had plenty of room so we didn't have to live out of our suitcases! We'd definitely return to this unit.

My family and I were very happy staying in this unit as everything felt fresh and clean. The beds were comfortable including the bed linen and bath towels. We liked the ease of the shower (not easily found in a condo). The kitchen layout is also nice. We loved getting our morning coffee in the lobby Banyan Breeze, that serves one of the Island's best coffee!! We would definitely book Kuhio Cabana again when we return to Honolulu!

Our family of 4 recently had a wonderful stay in this condo. It's in a great location with just a short walk to the beach and shops and an even shorter walk to catch the local bus. The condo was clean and well stocked with everything you need for a beach holiday...beach umbrella, boogie boards, beach mat, chairs, sand toys and beach towels. Dana was lovely to deal with and responded quickly to any questions I had regarding the booking. I would definitely recommend this condo.
Just as a suggestion, a clothes airer would be a great addition to dry towels or any washing. The kitchen was also missing a potato peeler.

We were overall very satisfied with our stay . The house is smaller than it looks on pictures but had everything we needed ! We are a family of 4 with 2 kids < 5 . This was very kid friendly - beach toys , high chair , pack n play , stroller everything was taken care of .
We work in the travel industry and travel a lot . I can say this was amongst the most kid friendly places we have srayed at . We would definitely rent again when we visit waikiki area.
Only areas of improvement would be - replacing vaccuum cleaner and adding a dishwasher.

This condo is the perfect place for our family of 5(2 adults, 17yr, 10yr and 14yr old). I love how the bedroom opens into the living room. It got all of us to chat every night instead of closed doors. The condo floors and shower were update which made a huge difference. The place was absolutely beautiful. I think previous visitors leave stuff in the pantry and closets to pass to future guests. It was actually wonderful to see spam in the pantry! I saved a lot of money cooking breakfast! We left inner tubes last year for the next guests, but it looks like someone took it. The condo is in the middle of everything! That's why we love it! We took bus which is right across the street from the condo. Beach is about a block away(very short walk).
The only reason I gave this condo a 4 star was because it was a little hard getting a hold of someone this time when we had questions. Dana was on vacation, but when we ran into some issues we had nobody to contact. Our bathroom water wasn't working for more than half of the day. So it was pretty much a wasted day for us since we couldn't get ready for the day. The oven was taking forever to heat up but it finally kicked on after 30mins. I called housekeeping to see if they could help us, but it went straight to voicemail and they never called back. We can't talk to the front desk because it's only for hotel guests. I feel the owner should have another person down for her guests to contact if she goes on vacation and has limited access to her email.
Don't let this stop you from renting this condo. Dana is usually quick to answer everything! It just happens she was on vacation the same time we stayed in her condo.
The views are beautiful and we can't wait to stay again next year!

The apartment was great! It had everything we needed, was very clean, comfortable, and had a great view. It is close to everything, including the beach, restaurants, and shopping. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking pans and utensils we needed. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and would stay here again. The only thing that could have been better is the mattress on the sofabed-- it is a little too thin so it was not very comfortable. Definitely bring quarters and detergent for the $2 washer and $2 dryer, as it was difficult get them at the property.

We stayed in the condo for 7 nights as part of our honeymoon and it was great! We had been staying in hotel rooms as we traveled around so to arrive at the condo and have a whole unit with a well stocked kitchen was amazing. We didn't cook much but if you wanted to everything is there for you. It's a great location a short 5 min walk to the beach and Main Shopping strip and if you book any day tours the pick up and drop off location is a 2min walk. The unit was clean with a simple design and decor, the bed was surprisingly comfortable and more then enough towels etc were provided. The keyless entry was awesome, so nice not having to worry about a key or swip pass to get in!
Dana was great answering any questions and her suggestion for using A8 taxis as a shuttle was perfect!
We would stay here again for sure.

My husband and I have been to various condos in Waikiki Banyan. But this one was the best so far. We were the first to enjoy the brand new bathroom and the clean floor all over the condo with new tiles. The view from the 28th floor onto the ocean was breathtaking, especially the sun setting. We have never seen so "much" ocean in the other condos. Th beds with good linen were comfortable and there were enough towels. We missed some information about the various TV channels. The sitting room was very spacious, especially for family with children. We would have preferred a real small table instead of the leather covered larger box. If we return next year we'll definitely try to book this condo again. Thank you Dana!

Overall our stay was very good. The properties location is outstanding. Two blocks from the beach a nice walk to all types of shopping. It also has the bus stopping I block in either direction of the property which provides very cheap transportation to any part of the island. The hotel also has barbecues for your use. Sometimes they are extensively used so a wait is required sometimes. Dana provides excellent timely service. We were not sent a final bill so I emailed Dana and she responded in a very timely manner and had the problem cleared up. She also sent a package to follow when we got in which was very helpful especially the backup code for entry when the first one did not work. The room was neat and clean with a good view. The only point that would of helped our stay is that of a telephone. We had a large group staying on the island and communication back and forth would have been available. Fortunately we all had access to Facetime and could converse in this manner. If one did not have the ability to do this it would of created some problems. We emailed Dana and she said she would fix the problem if we needed a phone. The WiFi was excellent and very easy to hook on to. Overall a great stay and we recommend the property and Dana to anyone

The condo was great plenty of room for my family and I. The condo was just like the picture advertised it was great. Dana was great she answered every question I had with no delay. My family had a great time and we are already thinking about staying again in the same place next time we go.
The pull out couch was a little hard to sleep on but we through a couple of blankets on it and was good to go. The staff at Koko resort were great very helpful and nice.

This was my family's first time going to Hawaii and first time booking a condo. I was really nervous at first because I paid this a year in advance. The owner, Dana kept in touch with me the whole year!! She gave me tips from restaurants, activities, shuttle service (A8 shuttle)and so much more!! I work at a corporate housing company so I pay attention to every detail from checking in, how clean the condo is, furniture, what's provided during your stay and the process checking out. As a Service Coordinator, I give this place a 10 star rating!! Everything was PERFECT!! What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. The balcony had a beautiful view of the beach. The beach was only a short block away and its surrounded by tons of yummy restaurants! If you're on a budget, I recommend going to eat at the small hole in the wall places. The places we went to which was a 3 min walk and in the same area is Cafe Coconut(shaved ice, sandwiches(crab is the best!) and boba drinks! Me's BBQ which has meat, 2 scoops of rice and 4 sides $8.99/each. Musubi cafe which is a great beach food all under $3/each!!
It was also nice to have these items provided in the condo: beach chairs, plenty of boogie boards, sunblock, shampoo, beach pails for the kids, kitchenware and linens.
The only thing that I would have to say if you plan on washing clothes, please bring quarters!!! It's very hard to find a store that will give you change. It's not the owners fault, this is only a tip :)

My boyfriend and I stayed here last September and it was perfect for us! Great location you can walk to everything in Waikiki and one block to the beach. We also enjoyed having the free parking for our rental car to explore the island. The condo came fully stocked with everything you needed! It was great to have beach chairs to use. The building itself was a bit dated but the condo was nice on the inside. We kept the bedroom open because the ac unit would be blocked if you closed the door. The lanai has great views of the ocean and mountains. It was close to the highways for easy access to explore Oahu. If we ever come back to Waikiki I would choose this condo again.

Great Condo. Perfectly located in the heart of Waikiki. A block away from the beach and walking distance to all the shopping. Bonus of a carpark within the hotel (although we did not require it) but extremely handy if one did rent a car as parking in Waikiki is expensive. Condo was clean, very well maintained and fully furnished.

We recently stayed in Dana's Condo and found it to be just like the photos. Great views of the beach and mountains, great location - walk to Waikiki main beach in about 5 mins. Easy walk to loads of restaurants and the main shopping streets in Waikiki. Bus stop right out the door to Diamond Head, Ala Moana and Hanauma Bay. Parking is included which was soooo good. Amenities are really great - all you need for cooking if you are self catering and laundry at the end of the corridor. Included Wifi was also a bonus. We were a party of four adults who stayed 11 nights. The pull out sofa bed was huge and although a bit springy, my daughter found it comfortable enough. I would certainly recommend staying here and hope to do so again in the not too distant future. Thanks Dana!

We didn't spend much time in the condo because we were out and about so much but while we were there we enjoyed it. The views were AMAZING. Both city/mountain views and ocean views. I was pleasantly surprised to see very nice beach chairs and boogie boards there for us to use. The condo was clean. it was in a great area, close to beach, shops and restaurants. Dana was so easy to work with, always quick to answer email. The building was very secure and I felt safe but, it would've been nice to have some sort of deadbolt lock on the door. I hope we get to visit again.

I was pleasantly surprised at this beautiful condo right in the heart of Waikiki. It was very clean and updated, fully equipped with beach chairs and all kitchen amenities. Good view of both the ocean and the mountains. Great location. The owner was great to work with and I would definitely use her properties again.

Dana is awesome and so is this condo. This was our second time here, because we loved it so much the first time. The view from the balcony and bedroom is amazing. It's close to everything and the parking pass is very convenient. Highly recommend this condo!
