We had a great stay here. Perfect location, close to beaches, stores, restaurants. We greatly appreciated the beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers and beach mats. Definitely keep the counters clear and clean, these tiny little ants come out if there’s food out. Other than that, this was an awesome place!

Our stay was very enjoyable. The location was wonderful. We were right in the middle of everything. A short walk to the beach and right next to the pool. They supplied beach chairs, towels, coolers umbrellas and even fins. The bed was very comfortable. I wish these y supplied some condiments in the kitchen. There was only salt and pepper. Oil and a few spices would have been nice. There was a crack on the side of the stove and the fan vent was broken above the microwave. As well as a crack on the handle. The patio screen needs replacement wheels…..very hard to open and the blinds opening to the patio door. They are falling down. There were multiple stains on the carpet. Everything else was great. Thank you very much for the welcome packet of chocolates and cookies. That wa a nice touch.

Left after 1 night. Carpet was old and stained and having COPD and asthma, I couldn’t stay (my husband had no issues). Other than that, although dated, everything was clean.

Great location, both complex and within the complex. The view from the unit was surprisingly open and you could see the ocean, but privacy from the pool was good. The unit is 'vintage', meaning no upgrades for either kitchen or bathroom. This was not a problem with the kitchen, but the bathrooms were very old and cramped (not comfortable to use). Beds were comfortable. Carpets need a good deep clean. Good value for your money spent.

The condo had everything we could use from beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, coolers, bags and umbrella shades. It was a great location, beautifully landscaped and easy check in. The only downfall was after flying for 9 hours we came into the condo that was not set up or cleaned for our stay. We did all the laundry as in sheets, towels were in the hallway in the hamper and a few more things like dishes and vaccuming. An emergency cleaning crew came the next morning and re-did everything. It put a damper on things just at that time. But, overall I would do it again to stay here because it was that perfect for our family. And the emergency cleaning crew was so nice and very apologetic.

This was our first time staying in this unit, but not our first in the complex. The location of the unit is great. Parking is close, the pool is a few steps from the back porch, but not visible, and the view is simply amazing garden with a splash of ocean. The layout of the unit was really good, lots of space and filled with quite nice furniture. The mattress was a standout being very nice. Both air conditioners were fully functional. There is a need for some small fixes. The patio door handle is sketchy, the screws are very loose, but a separate lock was appreciated. The bedroom fan is grinding harder than a high school dance and was unusable. The laundry was broken at arrival and was not repaired in our time there. Vacasa did offer a laundromat we could drop our cloths off at and have free service, but we chose to hand wash some items instead. This is something you should ask about if staying longer than two weeks. The carpets are tired and need a deep steam cleaning or replacement and almost all of the handles in the kitchen are loose. Bottom line, a handyman for a day would rectify almost all the issues.

My friend and I had a lovely stay at Maui Kamaole.
The unit was lovely, and clean. The property is well maintained.
Our only criticism was how loud the A/C unit was in the bedroom. The cycling of the unit and it’s intermittent shutdown make it difficult to sleep, without it cycling the bedroom is very stuffy.

Pos.: The location and complex are great. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and from a comparable Maui accommodations perspective, this was a good value. Neg.: Cleanliness was passable and adequate for us, but upon closer inspection, there were many areas that indicated a deep cleaning was in order. Also, kitchenware could use updating (damaged/scratched teflon cookware and cooking utensils could use replacement).
There was also some confusion with our check-in process (we never received check-in information from the prop mgr, Vacasa, and believe the confusion was on their end), but the property owner was responsive when we reached out directly to him. Even during posted hours (we arrived Fri btw 3-4p!), to our knowledge throughout our whole stay, there were no associates at the registration desk or available via the provided phone #.
Overall: Super location and very nice complex. Good value, but some rough edges reflect this.

Let me start by saying these units are fairly old. Some units, including this one are fairly dated and in need of remodel. Our group rented 4 units in different buildings of the complex. This unit was clean and in good shape but dated. The carpet was loose and worn. The countertops were tile and hard to clean. When we first arrived, it was 9 Pm and about 75 degrees outside. I swear it was at least that in the unit. We turned on the air conditioning and went to bed. The bed was amazing. Soft but firm at the same time. Unfortunately the AC in the bedroom did not work well. I don't think it ever get the room to what I consider cool. My wife wound up sleeping on the couch in the living room. Vacasa and the owner did respond and eventually replace the bedroom AC which made a huge difference but it was well into our second week. The outlet issue in the bathroom with the GFI was a pain but you just needed to reset it in the other bathroom. Strange but not unusual for an older unit. Unfortunately this didn't work for long. eventually, the GFI wouldn't stay reset. The owner responded and maintenance was sent to repair. I don't think they fixed the problem because the last day, it wouldn't reset again. It would have been nice to have some storage bowls or a few more plastic or metal bowls or serving dishes for grilling and eating in the pool areas. We grilled pretty much every night. We wound up picking up some Glad storage containers at Walmart. The location of the unit was great. A short walk off the lanai to the pool gate and a nice grassy sitting area in front of the lanai. The grounds are beautiful but not very "walker" friendly. The pathways don't really lead anywhere except parking lot to parking lot. If you have friends in other condos or just want to stroll the grounds, it's not very user friendly. All in all, this was a good unit at a great price for the complex.

Bill, the owner was fantastic. He was really helpful, responsive, and wonderful to work with from the very beginning. His condo is literally steps from the pool and an short walk from an awesome beach. We enjoyed our time do much that we plan to return again next year.

We spent vacation time without main pool open for a week, days without dryer - took two attempts to get it fixed, gfi broken, - had to use extension cord for power in bathroom, filters on AC unit needed changing, louvers were covered in black spots.
Maintenance people at condo were very responsive .
Asked owner for some compensation, he did not respond, other than ask if small upper pool was open.

Pros- great location and grounds were nice.
King bed/bedding is very comfortable

It is right next to the pool. Good if you have kids. Noisy if you don’t.
Cons- if you have anyone staying above you it is VERY loud.
Pull out needs to be replaced. Mattress on it is newer and is comfortable on the floor but has a gross stain on the underside.
Check in process wasn’t efficient- did not receive an email with parking, door code info. Contacted owner and was given incorrect parking stall number and pool access code. Figured it out for ourselves when we got there.
Overall decent place. This is what you’ll pay for a run of the mill, dated rental condo in Maui.

My wife and I loved staying here. The outside patios (one off the bedroom, one off the living room) made the place feel feel like it was our own little paradise. The location is great, convenient to Safeway and very close to restaurants and other markets, incl an ABC store. The beach is literally across the street and everyone seems to go there to watch the sunsets. Kamaole Beach parks are very nice, wide beaches, wide grassy picnic areas, easy parking, and very accessible. This unit is very close to one of two pools in the complex but we never heard any noise from the pool. The grounds are gorgeous and very well maintained. We really enjoyed staying here and highly recommend it.

Beautiful grounds. Easy to memorize keyless entry. Reserved parking space. I felt safe entering at night. Well lit. 20 steps to the pool. Great, peaceful patio, ocean view. Great, beautiful paved walkway to the beach. Everything necessary for a safe, comfortable stay.

In all of the emails I got for check in not one gave me the code for the gate to the pool it took me 2 days for the registration office to open to get it. The light on the back patio didn't work I had to take a bulb out of the dining room light to replace it with. During the weekdays we got woke up 3 of the 5 days by landscapers

My family and I just got back from a week at this property and were very happy overall with our stay. The condo is in a nice, quiet complex. The grounds are well maintained and the pool is literally steps from the back patio. The pool is small but very nice. There is also a covered area with tables and BBQs. The close proximity to the pool wasn't an issue noise wise as it closes at 10pm. The condo patio is very nice and has a small ocean view. The condo itself is a little dated and the carpet should probably be replaced soon but it was clean and well stocked with towels and bedding. The master bedroom bed is King size memory foam and very comfortable. The fold out couch mattress has seen better days and I don't think an adult would be comfortable on it, but my two kids slept just fine on it. We rented a car so it was really nice to have a dedicated parking spot and free parking! We ending up driving all over the island to various beaches each day, but the walk to Kamaole 3 is about 6-8 minutes. We walked over to the boat launch parking lot one night and there is a small trail to the cliffs where you can get a breathtaking view of the sunset. The only minor issue we had was that we didn't get any information prior to check in on how to get into the property, pool code or cleaning rules. I'm thinking it may have just fell through the cracks. We were able to get ahold of someone quickly and get into the condo so it wasn't a big deal for us. Overall it was a great experience for a family vacation!

This condo provided exactly what we needed for our stay! It was well equipped and comfortable. We loved the ground floor. The carpet was an area that could be improved, and for those expecting “brand new”, this condo has many original pieces. It was clean, and had everything we needed, we would stay here again!

Perfectly located within walking distance to the best beaches, restaurants and bars. This condo provided everything we needed for a fantastic vacation. The owner has supplied everything from towels to beach chairs to boogie boards. The complex is beautifully manicured with bbq’s and pools. We will be back very soon!!!
