Lahaina fire week. No power for 3 plus days. No candles, flashlights etc. couldn’t charge phones due to power being out. Bathroom shower faucet needs repair. Just an off week

Started out shakey due to entry code not working. When calling number given for help they had no idea what I was talking about. Had to reach out through VRBO in order to get issue resolved. I had left 4 messages with # and never a response. But property was adequate though needs some updating. Well stocked kitchen but additional bedding would have been welcomed.

My husband, myself and our 8 year old son stayed in this condo with a gorgeous view of the ocean and Moloka'i.
It has a nice, full kitchen, a beautiful balcony, which we ate breakfast on every morning, a clean bathroom and shower. We also appreciated having the washer and dryer in the unit. The owner was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly when we reached out. The hotel amenities were wonderful. We all loved the pool with it's waterfall and also being right on the beach was a huge bonus! The location is great as well. Plenty of options for food nearby with great restaurants and the food truck park and grocery store are walking distance. We feel having the ocean view is a must when going to Hawaii and being able to listen and see the ocean from our balcony was well worth it! We highly recommend this unit! Mahalo!

Staying in a condo was so relaxing, because we could cook breakfast before we headed out for the day, make lunches to take with us, and then go out for dinner or make a meal at home. We had a washing machine and dryer so that I could clean all my clothes before I went home. One less thing to do once I got home. The view was gorgeous, the condo had air and ceiling fans, and it was such a beautiful property. I would go back and stay there again in a heartbeat. Loved everything about it!

We loved our stay! The 8th floor condo gave us a panoramic view from the Lanai. Watched the sunrises and sunsets. Enjoyed the hotel property as well! Happy hour at the restaurant had drink specials that were reasonable and some good food options such as coconut shrimp. Such a special time! Mahalo!

So here’s the deal. You’re looking at a variety of places to stay in Maui. But you’ve found it. This is the place to book. Here’s why.
1. Ka’anapali Shores. This is the resort you want to be at. It’s the perfect mix of resort amenities without feeling like a stuffy resort. Very friendly staff. Two pools, a restaurant, multiple gift shops, nice grounds, and a perfect beach spot 10 steps from the property. Not to mention, there are literally dozens of dining options within walking distance, including the food truck park. This is the place to be.
2. This listing. There are a mix of “resort” rooms and others that are privately owned, like this one. You get 95% of the resort perks without having to pay for it. This unit has everything you’ll need and feels very comfortable. Owner is nice and sends you detailed notes before you arrive. Mostly, though, it’s the location on the Shores. This one is up high enough that you get an excellent view of the ocean, and also on the quieter side of the resort. It’s perfect.
Do yourself a favor, book this one. Just not on the dates I’m looking at, because I’m DEFINITELY staying here again the next time I come to Maui.

I was shocked that this place was exactly as detailed/pictured. The view is incredible and the beach front is insanley gorgeous. Like most things on the island, the resort and the unit itself are dated, but very clean and comfortable. The only exception was that the pillows were so lumpy and uncomfortable, we both got bad cricks in our necks. The host was very helpful and informative. Accessing the unit was a breeze. It was all very smooth and easy!
There is not much to so in Kaanapali, but Lahina Town is only about 10 minutes away and the harbor area was full of shops and restaurants. We spent a lot more time down there than expected.
The adult pool at the resort is comfortable, but not special. The Beach Club Restaurant (that you can access from the pool) had great food and drinks at resonable rates. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will miss the view and whale watching from the Lanai.

This place has an incredible view. It is located in a resort and gives you access to a children’s pool, adult pool and a great gentle beach. Pool towels are provided by the resort and can be exchanged daily. There is air conditioning which is great. This place has carpet in the main room and principle bedroom. I am not a carpet fan at all and feels a little dirty. Garbage from the previous guest was left in the room (yuck) and we pulled out a few bowls and needed to rewash as they were dirty. You are staying in this place for the view, convenient location and access to resort amenities. It is a 3 star.

Condo was everything we needed and the view from the balcony was amazing showcasing a full moon over the water. We used the coffee bar in the lobby and walked the lush gardens of the resort. After our long hikes the hot tub was a great place to take a break. Owner left us great tips of where to go. What a trip! Location was wonderful.

This place is amazing and exactly as advertised in the pictures. Not only was it a cozy and comfortable place but the patio was perfect for watching the whales pass by! Literally saw lots of whales every day! It was THE perfect vacation!!

A week prior to our reservation we received instructions from the Dave/owner on lacation, condo #, and tons of helpful information for our stay in Maui.
We had a minor issue with the lock on the front door, however we arrived after office hours for the management company.
I notified the Dave via email and the issue was resolved immediately.
We loved the view. The condo has everything you need. More dishes and kitchen supplies than you need for a weeks stay. Very nice.
The bed in the master bedroom is very very comfortable. Parking was not an issue ever.
The strip mall across the road is perfect to walk to for anything you need. Grocery store, several restaurants and even an Urgent Care. Right next to the property is a Food Truck lot. That was fun to walk over to one evening.
I absolutely recommend this place. Hopefully I will get a chance to return to Maui and will look to stay here again.

My husband and I loved this property! It’s in the best location, close to everything without being too crowded. The grounds offer amazing amenities, the beach was beautiful, pools refreshing, small stores handy and beach bar super convenient. The condo itself was super clean and had everything we needed in it (including beach chairs - huge bonus!). We will definitely be recommending this place to anyone that’s looking to stay in Maui and will hopefully return ourselves one day soon! Thanks for everything :)

Pluses- condo has everything you need (kitchen, beach gear, binoculars), ocean view (whales spotted from balcony), great location, close to grocery, restaurants, shopping, beaches, tourist attractions, pools are great, family oriented, restaurant and bar at the resort was good very friendly staff, check-in for parking and towels was very easy and quick.
Needs some attention - sink in bathroom drains slow, a bit of a musty smell however leaving the sliding doors open made it fine and cleaning can be more detailed (ie mirrors had smudges, remotes needed to be wiped down).

This is a very comfortable and clean one bedroom. The rooms were relatively quiet and the bed was comfy and the communication from the host was good. Some people complain that the balcony overlooks a parking lot but they leave out that behind the parking lot is the ocean. We watched half a dozen whales splash around from the balcony so I don't understand that complaint. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly and at the time of our visit the pools were never overcrowded.

Thank you for a wonderful first trip to Maui! The unit was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed including tupperware, ice packs to bring to beach, cooler bag. Husband and I slept in bed and boys ages 13 and 10 were surprisingly comfortable on the pull out couch together. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, we ate at the restaurant and enjoyed dinner out by the front pool. Banana coladas from the pool bar were yummy! Our whole family enjoyed time at the lit-up pool each evening with the sounds of Hawaiian music playing and all the birds that perch in the trees surrounding the pool at sunset! We visited many areas of the island and agreed we were glad we chose Kaanapali. Central to good snorkeling beaches, food trucks across from the hotel, times market for groceries and the kaanapali beach walking path is accessible just south of the hotel where you can walk to Duke’s for lunch and hit some awesome beaches. All in all we would stay here again! Thanks Dave and Brenda.

The condo is nice and mostly comfortable. The king bed mattress needs replaced. The one surprise was that this building is in the back of the property furthest from the ocean. It does have an ocean view, BUT you are looking over the parking lot, roofs, and canal behind the main building. We have stayed at K Shores before and always looked over the pools and center courtyard which is very pretty. This condo looks out over cars and you hear the beeping of car locks and occasional car alarm. As long as you dont look down view is okay. Would I stay here again? No, but if view is not that high on your list condo is fine.

The one bedroom condo was perfect for our stay in Maui. We enjoyed the on site dining and two pools. The condo was spacious and clean. Having a refrigerator and kitchen is better than a hotel stay. Loved it. Hope you come back in the future.

The property was nice and clean. The pools were lovely. Our condo was partially updated. The view was nice. The kitchen was nice. We had a leak in the kitchen it was coming down the wall to the left of the refrigerator it was running down the wall on the counter. I called the property manager they told me they weren't responsible for the maintenance of this condo. This was the number I was given by the owner. The lady was rude on the phone. I got to thinking maybe the maintenance department of the condo complex would help and called them and they were responsive. It was coming from the upstairs unit. I did get a text from someone asking if our problem was fixed by the property management company I believe it was Melinda I told her of the response I was given and she apologized. And said they do maintain this condo. The maintenance department of the condo complex addressed the upstairs unit and it was fixed. We also had a plumbing issue due to the garbage disposal. When we arrived we noticed standing water in the Dishwasher and it smelled. I ran the dishwasher and it seemed to take care of the problem. I did call the The property management company came and they fixed it. There appeared to be a camera in the upper corner of the front room which we addressed with the owner and he wasn't aware and said it was just a monitor of the air conditioning but really didn't look like that it looked like a camera which wasn't comfortable. The fact that he wasn't aware of this was concerning. There needs to be a few more upgrades. The full wall curtains needs to be replaced there are holes in the curtains that you can see when closed. This is from wear, but when you have them closed they are very noticeable. The couch with the hide a bed when opened has a lot of peeling black material on the floor in the upper left corner. I am giving this feed back as there needs to be a few upgrades.
We didn't spend a lot of time in the condo. I will say it was comfortable. The bedroom furniture was beautiful. I would stay at the complex again probably not this unit.

We almost always stay at this property on Maui. The cost is reasonable for what you get.
This condo has a well stocked kitchen, beach chairs and umbrella for use, plenty of towels and bedding, and was clean.
We enjoyed the pools and the small beach in front of the property.
We would definitely stay here again.
