We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was clean and comfortable and well appointed. The bedrooms were a reasonable size and the bathrooms were too. This condo is on the lower level so our unit opened up right onto a grassy lawn and the ocean was just beyond! The waves here are amazing and the sound is then crashing onto the lava rocks is just magnificent! The location is very convenient to town and we felt very safe. The parking spaces are small - no surprise in Hawaii - but they get the job done unless other rude condo guests park across a line, which happened a couple times. Ugh. The resort does have an elevator which is handy for getting your luggage where it needs to go and it has a very nice pool. There was some confusion about us getting a parking pass for our car - the resort needs to update their email and printed information for getting a pass when checking in after hours. But that was a minor thing that was corrected. We loved it here!

Poipu Shores 103A offers EVERYTHING one needs for a visit to beautiful Kauai! No need to pack anything but clothes, bathing suits, and essentials like meds. Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, etc were all provided, as well as assorted sunscreens left behind by previous guests. There are beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, and even a cooler provided for day trips. (Pack light! We brought way too many clothes and unnecessary toiletry items!!) The Tempupedic adjustable bed was wonderful at the end of our daily exploration adventures! We also loved the waves crashing on the rocks right outside our unit and were able to take in both sunrises and sunsets from the thick plush lawn outside our door. A beautiful beach is a short walk from this unit, which is also a plus. What a beautiful place to celebrate our 51st anniversary!!!

Great location and well maintained property. Only issue was pillow case was slightly stained and staff replaced in a timely manner. When replacing pillow cases found pillows to have multiple stains on both sides and appeared to be very worn. Pillows were located in second bedroom.

This property had everything we needed and more. It had a breathtaking view and we were able to watch whales and sea turtles in the water from the lanai. It was also walking distance to Brennecke’s beach, which was very convenient. The only downside, which is of no fault of the unit, is that the parking spaces at the complex were very small, so it makes parking with a larger rental car (we had a van) tricky.

The actual condo was just fine, nothing special about it (although the air conditioning worked really well) but it is a 5 star location for the property and the location. The views from the condo and pool are worth the price. We saw turtles every day from the pool and whales almost every day from our porch. Big waves crashing against the rocks all day as well. The condo was just a short 5 minute walk to 2 different beaches and there are safe and easily accessible running locations which has not been my experience on other Islands. Would definitely come back.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. The views of the ocean from inside, the outdoor area with table and the pool were wonderful. This condo is close to the beaches and restaurants. The check in process was pretty smooth, but we had a situation with the parking pass since we checked in on a Saturday after the office closed. We had a notice on our car the next day and had to kind of worry about our vehicle not being towed since we couldn’t get a parking pass until Monday. Then on Monday the office manager told us that they didn’t receive our reservation information from them and to let them know that they needed it. It’s just something you don’t want to have to deal with while on vacation. If the parking pass was just included in the welcome envelope or maybe left inside for use while there or would have made things easier. We were also confused by the check in directions stating to get a key from a “lock box” when I couldn’t find one and yes I looked for one by the office. After we got the parking pass everything was smooth sailing. Definitely recommend this property.

Apartment 103A at Poipu Shores was an absolute delight to stay at during our time in Kaua'i. The views from the lanai were dreamworthy; the apartment clean and tidy; both the kitchen store cupboard and beach supplies were very well stocked which was hugely appreciated and the air conditioning was a godsend and certainly helped us to sleep well. Po'ipu Beach is only a few minutes walk away and is absolutely worth a visit at dusk to watch the turtles come up to the beach for the night. A beautiful place to stay.

We had a wonderful time at PS 103A. The owners stock the place with everything you need as a home away from home. The views are phenomenal and it’s a five minute walk to Brennekes Beach. The AC was key and the bed always amazing.
I wish the process for the parking pass was a little easier because there was no way to get one and we did get a notice on our car. Just call the maintenance and they will take good care of you. Additionally, I wish there was a notice for all units to respect the space of others because we had families running all over the grass area in front of our place and moved their furniture out in front. It’s a shared space so you would think people would be more respectful. We were traveling with our kids as well, although older, we would not let them take away from other’s experience.

Overall, a fantastic stay. Dealing with Poipu365 was seamless from start to end. Checkin could not have been easier. Unit was clean and equipped with nearly everything you could need (a good quality set of BBQ tools would have been nice). A/C in all rooms was a definite plus, especially when it got hot & humid for a few days. Location and view are just amazing. MANY turtles every day in front of the complex, dolphins occasionally in the morning. We wouldn’t hesitate to return. A definite 5/5. Thank you!

Our condo was everything we had hoped for. Plenty of room for 2 couples to share with privacy between bedrooms and room to spread out onto the huge grassy oceanfront lawn from our patio. We prepared several home cooked dinners and easily found everything we needed in the well equipped kitchen. I Highly Recommend this unit! Only drawback is a problem with cell phone reception on this floor level unit- I heard from an owner that management is in the process of correcting.

The location is amazing. Water crashing on the rocks just steps away from the property and pool. There were turtles everywhere in the water and saw spinner dolphins a few times from the patio. Easy walk to a few beaches.The unit had a well stocked kitchen, beach chairs, cooler and towels. I couldn't find any BBQ utensils besides an old rusted spatula.The unit was clean and well decorated. I was disappointed with the electronic services. The WiFi is shared for the entire building so things like a chromecast won't work and the internet came to a crawl in the evening when everyone was home. Also the cable TV was snowy and not HD.The unit is tight w/o much extra space. We had 5 in our party which I wouldn't recommend since the only place to put the blow up mattress is in the living space and required us to move things around each day. 4 people would be fine.The back bedroom windows open to the outside hallway which can be loud with either people or the very loud sprinklers that run every morning around 5am. All in all a great unit and I would happily recommend to a friend given the caveats above.

Excellent stay at Poipu Shores 103A. This unit is on the bottom floor, which is right where you want to be. Amazing views and you can spit to the pool. We rented bikes to go down to Poipu Beach, but I would recommend going to the beach out in front of the Sheraton or the Grand Hyatt. Awesome location, amazing vacation.

The only complaint was about the air conditioning or lack there of. This unit was advertised as "air conditioned bedroom." There is a very old air conditioning unit that is located in the closet of the bedroom. It seemed very odd to have the closet door open so the air conditioner would work. It barely kept the bedroom at a temperature in which we were able to sleep.

The sound of the waves all night long, the beautiful sunsets, the turtles viewed from the pool deck, and the general location make these condos hard to top! Christine and Vickie from the management company were absolutely amazing! The welcome champagne and chilled glasses was also very welcoming - especially after a long flight from the East Coast.Huge plus for this unit is the ground floor which makes it very easy to walk out to the grass (kids loved to play there) and to the pool. The unit also has really great beach chairs and umbrellas as well as a cooler. It is also in walking distance to Poipu Beach (though they have plenty of parking)- which had the best snorkeling of all 8 beaches we visited all over the island, at least at the time we visited. The general location is excellent for everything.My only complaint is that I expected the unit to be cleaner than it was. There was quite a bit of visible dust, particularly on the bathroom doors and closet doors. I have major dust allergies (thankful I brought my medications) but also did not find it visually appealing. There is also mold in the shower. I also expected the kitchen to be cleaner. The cabinets and knobs were quite sticky. I think if the condo automatically included regular cleanings during each guest's stay, it would be kept cleaner overall. Or else hire a new cleaning person (or both!). Note: I am extremely particular about cleanliness, but I at least expected it to be as clean as a 4-star hotel room. Most people might find it clean enough. I didn't hold it against the overall rating b/c everything else truly made up for it!! Highly recommend one of the ground floor condos in Building A!!

I booked 103A at Poipu Shores through VRBO, having never been to Kauai. It was exactly what I had hoped it would be. We traveled with another couple and had a hard time finding a unit with 2 kings with 2 bathrooms. Most had a master and 2 twins that could be pushed together. The 2nd bedroom is not huge and has no view, but the living space makes up for that. The master has an awesome view and if you love the sound of the ocean it could not be better. The trick is to close the windows at night and the ocean lulls you to sleep. We had whales and Dolphins everyday in front of the unit. The sea turtles live in front of the pool and were so fun to watch... We really want to keep this place a secret, but since we cannot go every year, we think we should just be honest that this place is amazing. We met people there that return every year. After looking around the Poipu area we now know that Poipu Shores would have been our choice over all others!

Nice condo with a WONDERFUL view, right on the ocean! Pool was warm and clean and we loved swimming in it with the waves crashing below. Unit was a bit warm as there is no central A/C (just a small unit in the bedroom closet), and the wind howled through the gap in the back sliding door as well as the glass window slats, but other than that it was lovely.

This was my second time staying at Poipu Shores and I love the location! The complex is within walking distance of Poipu Beach (as long as you don't have a lot to carry) and Brenecke's Restaurant, which is across the street from the beach, is a great place to have a tropical drink and a bite to eat. Because the complex is in close proximity of the ocean I get to enjoy the sound of the crashing waves. Whether sitting on the lanai or swimming in the pool the view of the ocean is amazing and the turtles swimming right near the shore is a special treat. The complex is a short distance to Roy's and Keoke's Paradise, which are two of my favorite restaurants. The condo was clean and it's nice to have a washer/dryer in the unit so you don't have to pack so many clothes. Staff is always helpful and professional. I would highly recommend Poipu Shores!

Location, location, location. You could not beat where we were located. Walk out of our patio doors to the lawn and 25 feet away was the water. Lots of whales and dolphins right in front of us. Great pool and the beaches were just a 2 minute walk away. Condo was great - had everything we needed.

Overall, a fantastic stay. Dealing with Poipu365 was seamless from start to end. Checkin could not have been easier. Unit was clean and equipped with nearly everything you could need (a good quality set of BBQ tools would have been nice). A/C in all rooms was a definite plus, especially when it got hot & humid for a few days. Location and view are just amazing. MANY turtles every day in front of the complex, dolphins occasionally in the morning. We wouldn’t hesitate to return. A definite 5/5. Thank you!

The location is spectacular. View from lanai is priceless…whales, dolphins, turtles. Sand beaches within very easy walking distance. Kitchen super well-stocked.

Property was beautiful and clean. . Lots of thoughtful touches like binoculars and beautiful map of island hanging on the wall. There was plenty of extra supplies like paper towels, laundry detergent, even shampoo & conditioner. Wonderful views and it was nice to watch the huge waves crashing against the rocks. We could see the sunset and whales breaching. It was really nice being on the first floor. We were able to walk straight out the patio doors to the edge of the ocean. I would definitely stay here again. The only bad part was the following: I tried to find out more info on parking permit from Vicki. She deflected my questions and said I was thinking too hard about it. She could have simply told me that the front office was located near the entrance of the property and to proceed there to get my parking pass and given me the hours of the front office, instead of insulting me.

Staying at Poipu Shores is magical! The ocean views are like no other. It sits right at the ocean’s edge on top of a lava formation. The pool sits over ocean. You can stand at the pool’s edge and watch the turtles in the water from right there! The waves crash high and are a sight to see right from your porch. We watched the sun rise and the sunset from here, we saw dolphins swim in front of us and whale spouts and whales breach out in the distance. Being right next to Brenneke’s beach was so convenient! In the evening, around 6 PM as the sunset, about 25 giant green turtles, would come ashore to rest for the evening. They were safely roped off but beautiful too watch. Poipu is just such an amazing experience!

We had a wonderful time staying at Poipu Shores. The condo was very clean and well stocked. There was plenty of room for 3 adults and one child. The view and sound of the ocean was lovely, we had beautiful sunsets nightly, and we saw turtles and dolphins from the lanai. It is walking distance to Brennecke's beach and Poipu beach (about half a mile away). The photos don't do the condo justice!
One thing to note that we weren't aware of until after we arrived- you need a parking pass to park in the lot. By the time we saw this noted in the welcome binder it was after hours for the on-site office and the number listed to call was not correct. We ended up with 2 parking violation warnings on our car as the office wasn't open the several times we tried to stop in (yet somehow they were giving parking violations at 7am). We contacted the property management who was very responsive to our concern but also unaware that we needed a permit. No harm done- just hope this will be useful to future guests.
Overall, a wonderful location and condo!

The location of this well appointed condo was superb. The A/C is a rare find among Kauai rentals. Everything exceeded our expectations except the management company. At 11PM on the evening before having to awaken at 3AM to go to the airport, Poipu Mgmt. co. staff called me and insisted I arise at that moment to upload the QR Codes for out trip. She admitted that it was her responsibility and she had been off extra for the Labor day holiday and not in the office to notify us. After doing this, we received a text at 3AM that we had done it incorrectly. Again, we complied. Once arriving on the Island we received a text that this had not been done satisfactorily. Therefore our first day we spent all morning and until 1PM at their office trying to satisfy this requirement to their satisfaction. They said they may have to call HEMA to help. If I owned this condo I would definitely have it managed by another owner. Otherwise, this particular condo is fantastic and I would highly recommend it, may even consider returning next year.

We rented three seperate units at Popui Shores for our entire family (parents, adult children, spouses, grandchildren). This unit was very nice and served us well. The furnishings were very nice and the air conditioning was wonderful. You cannot beat the location on the ground floor, near the surf, near the pool and very convenient to the beach. We will definetely be back.

We had a blast here. Listening to the waves crashing in while I slept at night was awesome. The condo was great. They had kitchen items that you don’t want to buy at the store when you’re on vacation like trash bags, spices, coffee filters. Rooms were a little small but overall a cool place. We took a girls trip to Kauai for a week and stayed at Poipu Shores. We really enjoyed our time there, but do need to caution that you will need to rent a car ahead of time (and as much ahead of time as possible). We were not able to get a rental and there were not any available Taxi, Uber or Lift. The condo is a little far to walk to dining and the beach for children/elderly. We took advantage of Doug who drives the Aloha Spirit. It is a free shuttle ride to and from dining, but only runs from 5-10pm each evening. He works for tips and was a lifesaver for our group! Other than that, the views were amazing, and it was very quiet.

Poipu 306A was the perfect spot for us to enjoy the Island! The location was perfect for all of the things we wanted to do, and the unobstructed view of sea turtles surfing the crashing waves off the balcony never got old. The place was clean and fairly well equipped with the things we needed in the kitchen for our stay. The layout is great for 2 couples or a family. The front room did get a little warm during the day and into the early evening, but with fans and the living room AC going it did eventually cool down. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit!

Book this immediately! The pictures don't do it justice, but the view is spectacular! We saw multiple rainbows while eating breakfast on the lanai, sea turtles from the pool, dolphins roll by, Hawaiian Monk Seals and Honu Honu sleeping on the nearby rocks/beaches, and had the best location for a real Hawaiian experience. No tiki bars and cultural appropriation nonsense, just real people doing real things. We learned so much. The parking spots are small, so I'd recommend not getting a big SUV. The condo had everything we needed, and more! Definitely coming back.
