I stay at Hale Kai everytime I visit Maui. It's in a perfect location. Everything you'd need is within walking distance. Plus Maui has an exceptional transportation system and the bus stop is just steps away. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. I always find the unit in spotless condition. My sister and niece traveled with me this year and are already talking about next year. We had a wonderful time. I can highly recommend Hale Kai if you're looking for a reasonably priced unit in a great location.

We all felt that the unit was not cleaned well before we checked in esp the floors. upstairs bath needs some work. The kitchen needs a larger bread board as well as some plastic wrap/foil and a couple covered Tupperware type bowls (there were no bowls with lids ) No extra sheets upstairs and I suggest one more roll of tp per bathroom as rolls were super small and very thin paper (we stayed 11 nights). Both bathrooms were completely out

Our vacation condo was wonderful. Location was fantastic. We enjoyed watching the whales and sea turtles from our condo baloney. The condo was roomy, well-maintained, and clean. The resort manager was extremely helpful. We would highly recommend the property to family and friends. We are looking forward to our next trip back to the Hale Kai!!!

I love this place. My 4th time at Hale Kai..3rd in this unit. It's location is great. Walkable to groceries, morning coffee and restaurants. Decor is straight out of the 70s but the unit is immaculately clean and well equipped. Love the park/ocean view off the deck. Only downside is the street noise at night. But, it's right off the street so it's to be expected and it's not overwhelming.

Great location and lodging for a family trip with two small children. They absolutely loved the park next door and we loved all the amenities in walking distance. The condo was clean and a good size for three adults and two children. Convenient laundry facilities. Would love to stay there again!

we arrived early and the staff got us in quickly. the condo was very clean and had everything you needed in it including beach towels. a great view of the park and ocean. nice swimming pool. turtles and fish right there for snorkeling. quiet area but shopping nearby. I will return.

Our condo for our group of six was PERFECT in every way. A return visit to Hale Kai for me, first visit for my daughters, son in law and grandchildren. We LOVE Hale Kai and will always return to have our time in Maui.Valerie in the office was great.

Very Nice Condo with a loft bedroom up stairs and 1 bedroom downstairs. Good air conditioning downstairs. Beach/ocean view from lanai. Would recommend.

Quite a unique experience from the major high rise experience. It is reminiscent of places you would find in the 60’s or 70’s but with all the amenities. The pool overlooked the ever changing ocean..next door was a lovely park with a small beach. The people were a mix of owners and renters..they take pride in the upkeep and everything was in great shape and clean. It was almost like staying at a friend’s place.

This is my third stay at Hale Kai and will stay there again on my next trip. Unit is always clean and well is the entire property. Valerie and her staff are always friendly and helpful. It's in a perfect location. You can walk to anything you need as far as restaurants or groceries are concerned. Bus stop is right down the street...very convenient to everything. I'll be back.

The unit and complex were great, just as described. The office was very helpful. We made many friends hanging out at the pool at sunset, and saw turtles at the beach almost every day. The coffee shop and farmers market across the street was convenient. We went to many nearby beaches, but Napili Bay was our favorite.

..I'd like to keep it my little secret. This was my second time at Hale first time in this unit and my only issue was hearing the cars at night...the unit is on the end right by the road. That aside, it's really a nice unit and worked well for me and my sister-in-law. Each of us having our own bedroom and bathroom was priceless...sometimes you just need that alone time. Hale Kai is located in a perfect spot...everything you need is within walking distance. The property is extremely well maintained; the office staff friendly and helpful...I love it here. If I can get back to Maui, I'll definitely stay there again...

We have noticed an increase in traffic over the years. Late night street noise takes getting use to but we continue to stay here for the price, convenice, View and friendly people. It’s not a ‘resort’ experience like the big hotels. It’s clean and reasonably priced which allows us to stay longer and return again.

My family and I had a great experience at Hale Kai, where we stayed in a 2-bedroom unit for the third time in three years. The rental company on-site is a joy to deal with, the units are kept in good condition, and the complex is in a great location (near a park, farmer's market, etc.). The owners I've met there are all friendly and helpful. Would recommend this vacation rental to anyone. The complex is well kept, clean, and quiet.

This condo was one of the few units that had air conditioning so that was very nice! Cleanliness was satisfactory, but not perfect.You could still see the ocean from the balcony of this unit, even though the balcony did not face the ocean directly. We stayed there with our family of five and there was plenty of space. It was a little difficult walking around to different stores, only because there wasn't a sidewalk on both sides of the main Street. There are also some good restaurants nearby that are within walking distance. The beach at Hale Kai is not that great.. we always drove to a better beach. However, if I ever go to Maui again, I would most definitely stay here again.
