Our studio is the perfect place to sit back, relax, and enjoy in an intimate setting in Hawaii! Planning on exploring different beaches and local stores? There is a Trolley that goes along Ali'i Drive and travels the scenic routes through Kona to Keauhou. You can also rent out bikes that are located in various areas along Ali'i Drive for a genuine Island feel. catch a bite across the street & try yummy local grinds at the Da Poke shack! We are minutes away from our Island farmers Markets where you can find fresh fruit, veggies, Kona Coffee, souvenirs, etc.

Our unit is well equipped with Kitchen essentials, a brand new stackable washer and dryer, a Queen Nectar quality mattress, pull-out couch/futon for an additional child (1) to fit comfortably on the futon. We have an A/C unit for extra comfort on hot days as well as beach gear for when you'd like to put your toes in the sand. Our guests are given access to the Kona Bali Kai Facility to use the pool and hot tub across the street.

Unit is situated in the Mauka (mountain) Building across the street from the Makai (ocean) Building and is positioned on the left side of the building. I have Pinned an Orange hibiscus in photo of where the unit is located.

The Big Island of Hawaii seems determined to break the norm; the stereotype of the average tropical island, that is. Here you'll find the ongoing battle between green forests, black lava fields, the ocean, the rain, and sunny days almost incomprehensible; the diversity is simply stunning. With that being said from time to time insects can be present outdoors and sometimes make their way indoors due to our tropical climate here in Hawaii. We share this information with you folks because we understand insects can be something to be fearful about or can be somewhat of a nuisance to some individuals. We would like to rest assured that we do schedule pest control services in our very tight schedule & do the maximum recommended to not harm people in the house/Condo which is once a month), but it's one of the few cons of tropical weather. Please know we go above and beyond for all of our guests and make sure to provide standard maintenance for extra comfort and an enjoyable time when staying with us here in Hawaii.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the place served our needs. Clean, close to town, good bed and close parking stall. Other places we have stayed at before always had well stocked kitchens with spices, condiments, misc tool items like cheese grater, lids for pans, large metal spatula and tongs for using the outdoor BBQ, travel mugs and water bottles, scrubber sponge for cleaning.... not the kind of stuff you expect to have to buy in a place like this. They did supply beach towels, chairs, umbrella and a picnic blanket but it would be awesome to have an insulated cooler, and some swimming gear like fins, snorkels, masks, etc. The place needs a light in the area of the dining table. The air conditioner was great but the battery must have been dead on the control which didn't work so only a tall person could reach it to control it. The main room was short on lighting and ventilation because 2 louvered windows that were approximately 2' wide by 6' tall were disabled and the glass was replaced with wood slats and then the whole window covered with a drape. This greatly reduced the amount of light and ventilation. The stacked washer and dryer was a handy feature but make sure to do you laundry while you are gone because the washer makes rather loud strange noises.

My wife & I selected the Kona Bali Kai condo because our son has a house a short 3 minute walk to the north on Ali'i Drive. We didn't need the usual tourist accommodations. We bought groceries at Costco and cooked meals for the family at the condo. Our condo in Building 6 was exactly as advertised so no surprises. The property management company was very responsive. That's why this is a 5-star rating. However, most condo's at Kona Bali Kai condo are old and in need of update, including our unit. Our window-mounted air conditioner was extremely loud and ineffective. We had to wear ear plugs to sleep. The bed mattress was of very low quality. Still, this is what was advertised. We did not expect a resort-like experience. And, we were 3 minute walk to my son's house. So, it was a successful visit.

The host was so nice and even left an air mattress blown up for my friend! It was well stocked and had everything we needed for our stay! I will definitely be staying there again!
