WOW! Gorgeous Kailua Bay views from this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom fully furnished oceanfront condo located on Ali'i Drive in Kailua-Kona!
Spinner dolphins are visible from the spacious lanai while sipping Kona coffee or cocktail! This is a ground floor unit, with one assigned parking stall just steps away from the front door. African Mahogany cabinets in the kitchen and both bathrooms match the beautiful original Mahogany Shoji doors that close to separate the living area from the main bedroom. Beautiful Brazilian counter tops throughout. Both bathrooms have walk-in showers with bamboo glass screens. Lanai is very spacious with dining area and two teak lounge chairs. There is a portable AC unit in the Living Room Only & Both Bedrooms!

Living Room Sofa has been upgraded to be a pullout sofa, so unit can sleep up to 6!

The living area and master bedroom are both ocean side and each room is accessible to the spacious lanai. Great location in the complex being close to the pool and BBQ area.

The grounds are beautifully maintained and include barbecue area, sparkling salt water pool with restrooms and a large library with hundreds of books available for the enjoyment of residents and guests.

Ali'i Villas is a highly sought after condominium complex in Kona, Hawaii. The location is perfect. It is walking distance to town where there are plenty of restaurants, shopping, and night life. The grounds have lush tropical landscaping that provide color and a true Hawaiian spirit. The complex has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere.

*Spalling repairs are to commence at Alii Villas. The scheduled dates for 2024. Noise disruption may happen during working hours.
Work on building D will begin July 8th and will be brief lasting only about 1 1/2 weeks or less. There are 2 units needing repairs, 327 and 228. All common area spalls will be completed beforehand in-house.
Work on building G will begin July15th and end the last week of July. Units 118 and 320.
Work on building E will begin the last week of July. There are multiple areas of spalling on that building. Mostly on the lanai areas. Units 133,134,136,234,235,334 and a few areas on the posts and beams under the building. Work will continue until completion on or before September 12th. All in-house repairs will be completed by mid August.

We arrived late at night with good instructions on how to park and enter the unit. The unit appeared as it was listed and we loved the view. The next day we noticed bites and thought it might have been ants, however, it was only on my husband. We have never had an issue with bed bugs ever and did not know what the bites were. We spent the night searching and discovering bed beds in our bed and on the couch. We contacted the property manager first thing in the morning-Knutson and Associates-and they sent out pest control. Pest control confimed the unit had bed bugs. We could not stay in the unit and were forced to find alternate accommodations. We were offered a full refund, however, we lost 2 days of our vacation doing doing laundry and purchasing cleaning products to ensure we did not take this issue with us. We cleaned the unit before we left and noticed a lot more bed bugs. It was clear this unit was not checked before we arrived. We sincerley hope this does not happen to anyone else. It is a horrible way to spend your vacation and we are extremely disappointed. The owner has hired a property management firm called Knutson and Associates to manage the unit, however, they did not maintain the property. GROSS !! We were disappointed in how were we treated and how they managed the situation.

The location was great and had a nice view. Need better instructions on where to take the trash because the dumpster is hidden in a garage. We enjoyed our stay.

What a wonderful location with view of Kailua Bay, close to shopping and beaches. Lovely pool. The condo is comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, large lanai where we enjoyed eating meals and watching sunsets. I would definitely rebook this place.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the place was conveniently located for us. Had a nice evening view. Amenities were nice. Didn't tell us there was snorkeling equipment and a boogie board in the spare room closet. We didn't find them until the last day. Would have been nice to know up front. We were gone most of the day every day and mainly used the unit for relaxation at end of the day and to sleep. You are expected to clean the pots, glasses, plates etc before you leave and to empty the trash. Caution: some of the plates, pots, and silverware were not clean, but had been put away when we arrived. Also be aware that, as the photo shows, the pool for the neighboring property is right outside the room. Overall, the people using the pool were quiet, but there was definitely no privacy on the lanai when people were in the pool.

On the other hand, the furniture on the terrace deserves to be replaced with deckchairs and chairs of questionable cleanliness. To replace. Provide more light on the terrace.

The unit was clean and well stocked. Comfortable and we’ll layer out. The balcony was great for eating and relaxing, though the neighbors pool is near the balcony and could get noisy…fyi.
