This property is very accurately described and photographed.
This was a very comfortable and nicely designed home with a wonderful ocean breeze. Clean, with fresh towels, washer/ dryer and all the amenities described. It has a spacious patio that we used every morning and every evening drinking our Kauai coffee. You can walk through the beautiful garden a few feet to the BBQ, the deck over looking the ocean (lots of turtles & stingray) and the pool area.
The property is located on the south end of the island close to: Po’ipu Beach, Shipwreck Beach (3-5 minutes), and a few miles from National Botanical Gardens (10 minutes), Kauai Coffee Co(25 minutes), Kauai Plantation and Railrod & Luau (20 minutes).
I’d like to acknowledge the Parrish Management Company, managing the property for the owner. A few units had a plumbing issue on our last day. I called the emergency line, two very nice Parrish maintenance men came out after hours. The company came through for us, because the issue was a little bigger than anticipated. There will always be issues, but how a company comes through for the client is a true testament to taking care of “us the tourist.” Our neighbors had a “different” company and ended very differently (badly) for them.

The location was incredible and the views spectacular. The condo had everything we needed for our stay which we greatly appreciate. We didn’t have to buy anything but food. The Parrish Company that runs this unit has amazing customer service as well so we will rent from them again; just not this condo. Upon entry we removed our shoes as the sign requested. In 20 minutes the floor turned my new white socks dark brown. I used the swifter wet they provided and two of those came up black just from the master bathroom floor. Had to buy bleach and mop the floors three times and they still weren’t clean. The showers had black and pink slime mold growing on the bottom, around the doors, and on every ledge and corner. Corners and the side of the fridge floor was disgusting too.
This unit doesn’t have air conditioning which most nights wasn’t a problem because there are trade winds but it got hot in the afternoon and was uncomfortable to sleep some nights even with the fans on.
This still didn’t ruin our trip because of the location but this condo is too expensive for what it is and how filthy it was. After speaking to the company, I hope it will be cleaner moving forward.

Great property with ocean view, full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. Lot of amenities including boogey boards which was great. Only complaint is that kitchen/living room had cockroaches and there were also ants in the kitchen.

This property is in dire need of upkeep. Took photos and videos of condo condition - blinds that don’t work, window screens that are falling off with huge gaps for bugs to get through, dirty area rugs, broken window treatment in living room, dust bunnies, gardeners who left the deck filled with palm tree debris (we swept it up).

This was truly our prayers answered. An old school friend and I looked to meet and find some peace from some stressful times and we we couldn't have been happier with the accomodation and the wonderful way we were treated by the host and the Parish.
Our only wish was that we could have stayed forever!
We weren't able to sign the guestbook as between us we couldn't find a pen but I'd be happy to provide an account for the host as it seems only decent :)
Thank you so so much. It may have taken a week to recover from jetlag but this was an experience I simply will never regret.

Well maintained property but the location over the shoreline perfect for surf and turtle watching is the best!! There have been upgrades that don't show up in the vrbo photos. Kauai is my favorite island 🏝. I will be back!

Perfect location being between the two best beaches on the South Shore. Boogie boards, chairs and an umbrella were supplied and they got used nearly every day. Communication was flawless. The views are breathtaking. I watched the sea turtles in the surf from the shared deck overlooking the pool The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. We save a lot of money by not going out to eat. Perfect place to stay!

Even nicer than our first stay, last September 2018. There is a new leather couch and 2 new chairs in the living room. Very comfortable. The pool and BBQ were relaxing and easy to use. Spinner dolphins and turtles swam off the deck. Such a fun walk to the beach at least once a day!

Great place to stay. Clean, quiet and convenient to the beach and shopping. Everything was comfortable and well taken care of. The pool, while small was great for our grandson. Loved seeing the turtles and whales in the ocean.

The property and the location of the pool and deck has the best views! Absolutely amazing!! The condo was wonderfully appointed.
The only negative on the condo is it wasn’t very clean—our feet would turn black from walking on the floor. A couple of days later when I mentioned it to Parrish, they became angry and defensive and asked why I hadn’t told this when we first checked in. I replied, “I thought you might be coming back to clean it and I realized they weren’t coming back. I want to be clear this isn’t a reflection of the condo or property—but Parrish the property managers. They charge the highest rate on island as rental property management. I know because I had a property there I was going to rent and I considered Parrish to be the Property managers. I’m really glad I didn’t go that route with them.

Just the perfect vacation in an uncrowded month! Walk downhill to Po'ipu Beach and snorkel each morning. Then back by Brenneke's Beach to visit the turtles on the way back. Take in the ocean views while dining on the lanai, and use the well equipped kitchen to prepare meals. Ideal!! Get drinks and small plates at the Honu Bar in front of Marriotts, just past Po'ipu beach right on the beach. Fun and delicious.

Absolutely loved our stay at this property. Right on the ocean. The property itself is ~12 units. While we were there we felt like we had the property to ourselves. The unit has updated appliances and is well appointed, the views are amazing and this is a great basecamp for all of the adventures that Kauai affords. From the pool, you can watch turtles feed while the waves crash against the cliff. There are several beaches within walking distance, or a very short drive. There are a few things to be aware of but please note the title of my review, I would certainly book this property again if visiting the island, I just think it is important to be aware when booking. The mattress in the master bedroom is like a wet sponge and in my opinion needs to be replaced. There is no A/C but this appears to be standard with most of the rentals on the island, that being said, if the sea breeze is not blowing, it can tend to get very hot and humid, there are ceiling fans and other fans that can be utilized to help with the situation. The unit is on the first floor right off of the parking lot, but noise was not an issue for us. Make sure you bring an eye mask for sleeping because you will want all the shutters/windows open in the evening to keep the temperature under control as it is well lit in the master bedroom. I did bring an eye mask and this helped immensely. One last point, while enjoying the pool, there were "locals" that crept in. I know this because I spoke to a few of them, and there is no real barrier preventing this. They were not obnoxious, but it is worth noting. Collectively, this was a great unit, great location and good value. Thanks Poipu Palms and The Parrish Collection for a fantastic vacation to this INCREDIBLE island.

This condo was perfect for 2 couples. We really enjoyed the space, the location on the island, and the views from the pool deck cannot be beat! Loved watching the sea turtles everyday. Would definitely stay here again.

My family of 4 enjoyed 5 nights at Rod's wonderful place. Rod and his management team were wonderful to work with from researching the place to check out.
The lanai was a perfect place to sit and listen to the water, enjoy the palm trees swaying in the wind and look out at the vast Pacific.
The common sitting area and pool were wonderful for sunset viewing as well as turtle viewing.
The condo has everything you would need -- cooler, chairs, boogie boards, towels, stocked kitchen, games, towels, washer/dryer, great soaps etc.
The location is amazing with a short, pleasant walk mostly along the waters edge to either Shipwreck's Beach (solid boogie boarding beach) and Brennecke's (another solid boogie boarding beach) and Poipu (wonderful swimming beach for kids or adults who don't want to wrestle with the waves).
My 17 year old son said that Poipu was his favorite place we've ever been to as a family. While we haven't traveled the world, we've been to some amazing places.
The value for this place is outstanding and it was a wonderful place to rest our head after a fun day in the surf.

The location doesn't get much better than this condo for a South shore stay. We stood on the deck every morning and every night watching sea turtles swim along the shore, and on two occassions we saw big schools of dolphins splashing along the coastline - fantastic! It's a 10 minute drive to Living Foods Market where they have an excellent selection for vegans, and from this condo you can walk over to the Grand Hyatt and go along the cliffs beyond the property. Truly exceptional!
The only reason this property did not get 5 stars is because our last two days someone brought a barking dog to the condos, we contacted The Parrish Collection, and the response we received was "Oh well - nothing we can do as the dog is in a property we don't manage." We understand that this is a small issue, however, if they weren't willing to provide a better customer service response than "oh well" - I have little faith in their ability to address a bigger issue.

It was so amazing to be right on the Ocean and the pool was a plus but a little cool.
It was very peaceful.
We had everything we needed in the house and it felt very homey.
Great Beaches nearby and lots of walking trails
The weather couldn't be helped (we were there the weekend of the rain, wind and land slides up North but we still got sun enough for pool and beach time, bike rides and walks
