We loved the resort where this condo was located. We spent every evening sitting in the lounge chairs provided to watch the sunset oceanside. This particular studio, while lovely, was a bit cramped for us, after having stayed in a more spacious 2 bedroom right before this stay, especially because there were 2 beds in the space and we really only needed one. Pay attention to the high fees associated with this rental - I'm not sure how I didn't notice while booking, but we ended up spending more than twice as much as the "per night" rate because of all the fees and taxes!

Such a nice spot with everything we needed. Not big — it’s a studio, wouldn’t work if you wanted to cook a bunch— but has a frig, coffee maker (not Keurig, thank you!), microwave, toaster. Loved that the grocery store was really close, and restaurants. Very walkable, quiet place. The lanai is nice but it doesn’t open directly onto the lawn. The ocean is visible if you stand up and look through the trees. Lovely landscaping. Thoughtful touches like beach towels and chairs and lots of storage space.

Felt like I was staying at a friend’s lake house in a studio apartment size. They have everything you need including beach chairs and beach towels. I had a slight scare with our code to the room (my phone was in the room with the code), but I went to vacasa’s website, found the emergency line and was able to get back in the room, no problem. Thanks for the perfect end to our honeymoon.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The kitchenette was adequate to prepare fresh fruit or takeout but being near restaurants made preparing full meals unnecessary. Beach/pool equipment was appreciated but not used. The welcome goodies were a surprise. Thank you! Free/easy parking was a plus as was the ease in contacting management.

The property was exactly as advertised with bonuses of sunrises & sunsets nearby. The bed was comfortable; shower was hot; plenty of dishes though we did not cook; beach chairs & towels were convenient; & the pool was so close to this condo. We hate to leave but Maui calls!

We loved our stay at The Islander in Wailua. We are travelers and like to explore, so being in the middle of the East Side was perfect for us. It was a 45-minute drive to Na Pali Coast and an hour to Waimai.
The shops at Coconut Grove provides easy access to essentials, and the town of Kapaa offers great restaurants and shops to choose from.
I would definitely recommend Wailua and The Islander and we hope to return soon.

Overall was a great place to stay. Only very small issue was a broken sliding door and small amounts of mud on the wall. I want to put this in because house cleaning and maintenance fixed everything very quickly. I loved this ground unit especially

Excellent property. Clean and beautiful grounds right on the beach. People are friendly and very helpful. The unit rented was clean and perfect for our vacation, pre-stocked with beach chairs, towels, all you need to spend time at the beach. Location is perfect for island touring from north shore over to the south and far west side of the island to see the canyon.

The property and location of the unit were good. As soon as we checked in, we had problems with the TV and the clock radio did not remote! We called the on island agent and she came over and tried to fix the TV. She said the maintenance man would come by the next day. He did and did not fix the problem. We were not there to watch TV but I was on the island to have surgery and needed time to recuperate and thought that TV would be helpful. Then the glass door and screen door got stuck and the maintenance man came by and fixed the glass door but not the screen door. So the condo is not well maintained but it was clean. The agent did try to help us with our problems but that took we were disappointed having to deal with these issues. I believe that the owner of the condo should know about these issues.

We were excited to stay here, with the location and pictures showing a clean room. Unfortunately there was black mold found and musky smell. Seems like this room needs a deep cleaning. The location of this hotel will bring people in every time but just a little more effort in cleaning is a must!

Islander on the Beach is a great resort in a perfect location if you are planning to visit the East, South and West of Kauai. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the on-site bar in the evenings. Easy walk to groceries, coffee, etc. Note that parking can be challenging if you come in late. The condo was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The beach chairs and towels were very appreciated. A couple things we found were missing and that could easily be added are a kettle to boil water and simple pantry items like salt/pepper. Also beware the water in the shower can get to a scalding hot temperature, hot enough that I burned my hand.

The unit is nice and it`s in a convenient area and has a peek-a-boo view of the ocean. The grounds are also beautiful. The only downside was the local management was unresponsive to a request to fix the broken safe and drop toilet paper off. There were only 2 rolls for a 1 week`s stay in a unit that accommodates up to 4 people.

The property grounds were beautiful and well-maintained, very close to the beach. We had a nice view from our outside patio. The condo itself was clean, and had all the appliances we needed--fridge, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, and a sink.The only negative comment would be regarding the safety box which was out of order due to lack of batteries. We called the management twice but no one came to fix it.

We had a little difficulty at first because of the room`s relationship to the larger facility which is managed by Aston. The front desk staff could not give us clear directions to the room which, it turned out, was really close by. Also, the room is disabled accessible but resulted in quite a bit of water running out of the bath into the larger room the first time we used the shower.

The only tv remote in the room was the one for the cable, witch was also supposed to turn the TV on, it wouldn't. The TV did not have any switches at all and there was no remote for the TV itself. We were there over the new year period and wanted to watch some of the bowl games. Disappointed in that aspect.

Overall I was very pleased with Unit 142. We did have issues with the sliding doors which are crucial; on the 3rd day a maintenance man was able to fix. No TV issues as some have mentioned. The unit was cute, clean and very convenient to the pool, beach and numerous restaurant options which is key since the "kitchen" is just a microwave, toaster, small frig, coffeemaker and blender. You do have use of the property grills so you are able to cook but we loved the restaurants that were all within walking distance. We loved having our morning coffee and evening cocktails on the lanai and there is a pool bar open at 3pm every day if you're looking for that experience. I was pleasantly surprised by everything and would recommend for any couple looking for a central location and a great deal.

Today I check out after a week and a half stay. I'm going to miss the beautiful view, the sound of the waves, the birds chirping, even the roosters. This unit is beautiful and spacious for two people, though sleeps 3 maybe 4. Kitchenette is convenient. The location is perfect and love that it is walking distance to the Coconut Marketplace. Already booking for another stay next year.
