This was my first time staying at Ilikai Hotel and Suites, renting an apartment through Ali'i Beach Rentals. Loved it! The apartment was modern and clean, with plenty of storage. Appreciated the kitchen have a kettle. Loved the lanai - I started and ended everyday sitting outside, the sunsets were beautiful. I usually stay this end of Waikiki, as I like being walking distance to the beach and Ala Moana and Waikiki itself. It was useful being able to store my luggage ($2 bag) with front desk before checking in. Would definitely recommend, in fact have already done so!

Lovely property conveniently located on Ala Moana Boulevard. Marina view to watch the sunset and harbor activity. Within 30 minutes to Waikiki Beach and shopping.

I had a lovely time here at this property! Check in was a breeze, close to everything. A brief walk down to beach, poké downstairs, a bar Nextdoor, and you can walk to the luxury shops. I would definitely come back.

The property was perfect - location was central in Waikiki and the view was lovely. Loved how it was decorated and management was responsive and helpful. The value was great and the building amenities are wonderful also. Highly Recommend if you’re looking to stay in Waikiki.

The room was clean, bed comfortable and the location was great. 5 minutes walk to the shops at the Hilton Village or lagoon, and to view fireworks on Friday evenings. 10 minutes walk to Ala Moana shopping center. There was a store in the building that had most all the essentials you need, also an icecream store, cafes and 2+ restaurants that had decent casual food. Main pool was a great temperature and they provide towels to Ilikai guests. Parking is around 35 per night, though we did not have a car for most of our stay and took Uber everywhere - never waited more than 5-8 minutes to get picked up from the hotel. I would highly recommend staying here.

I recently stayed at this property for 10 days and found the accommodations comfortable and practical. I especially enjoyed having a desk in the unit which is something I haven't seen in many other properties. The view from lanai is spectacular for sunsets. Overall, it was very clean, had a comfortable bed, and contained everything needed for an extended stay.

The king bed Really has seen its days (lol, nights). I had more bed adjusting than restful fall to sleep because it was soo comfy. The management and/or owners Must get this bed updated. Really, that is the downfall of this lovely place. If updated bed; I would stay here again.

Hotel was very accommodating in storing our luggage while we waited for our checkin time. Our room was very well appointed with an amazing view of the ocean and marina from a large balcony. The location in Honolulu was central to Waikiki Beach , Diamond Head and Alamona Mall. Easy to catch buses and shuttles. Property was very clean and well maintained. The unit was clean and modern with a great view. It was outfitted with the basic amenities. Found the bed to be a bit hard but there was a foam in the closet that we added to make it more comfortable. Easy check in and out, would recommend.

This rental is clean and modern however lacks anything additional that you find in most rentals. No salt, pepper, welcome coffee etc. Kitchen is very basic. In addition, some of the little decorative extras such as flowers and soap dish that appear in the pictures are not in the unit. The bed has probably one of the worst mattresses I have ever slept on! It appears that someone has purchased foam and left it in the closet, so we placed that on top of the mattress to be able to sleep comfortably. In addition, there are handles on drawers at the foot of the bed toward the narrow passage between the sofa and bed. I cut my leg twice and my husband cut his as well. 2 weeks later and there is still a scar. Watch out for those. They should probably replace those handles with something that can't injure you. The location at the Ilikai is away from most of the action on Waikiki beach so it depends on what type of vacation you are looking for, whether you consider this a plus or minus. In addition, you are actually about a 10 min walk from the actual beach at Hilton. You also have access to the shopping and restaurants that are found on that property. Overall, this unit was okay but unless they upgrade the mattress, I would not stay here again.

The rental was very clean..location great..nice views…bed was hard as a rock..we put on the cushion that I think was supposed to be for the sofa bed…there was no host, this was like renting a hotel suite minus the benefits of housekeeping and replacement of daily supplies…towel supplies great, kitchen appliances good, but not even a full set of silverware for 4, no basics in the kitchen besides salt and pepper, there was no “stay at our home” feel you normally get with a vacation rental..would have been nice to have some beach chairs…I reached out once to the host to ask for recommendations for a place to rent beach chairs and other beach supplies..the answer I received was “I’m not familiar with the area”. This did not change the fact that we had a wonderful stay in Oahu, just don’t think I’d rent from them again

This apartment has a big balcony with a fabulous view of the harbour and stunning sunsets. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the shower was great. The kitchen had most things you would need but lacked a few utensils needed for cooking.We were pleasantly surprised that it was very quiet even though you are n a huge apartment block.We loved the pool on the second floor which was not busy.The Ilikai hotel is in a great area that is handy for buses and near to Alo Moana beach and shopping centre.We found the management company were very professional and responded quickly.Would thoroughly recommend.

We enjoyed our time at this unit in the Ilikai. Amazing view and very clean. No supplies though…we had to buy Kleenex, hand soap for the bathroom and shower, lotion etc.
It was our first time to Hawaii and we were surprised by how busy and congested Waikiki Beach area was so that was disappointing and because of that we won’t go back to the area.

We have a mixed review of our stay in the Ilikai, room 641. On the plus side, the view is amazing. We sat out on the lanai every evening to watch the beautiful Hawaiian sunset, while enjoying the boats coming and going from the marina directly in front of our room. Being on the 6th floor we were high enough to have a wonderful view, but low enough to enjoy the action in the courtyard below us. Also, the Ilikai is in a great location; close to Ala Moana Shopping Center as well as all of Waikiki Beach. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the closet was fine, with plenty of hangers. The refrigerator was large and clean. In addition, the laundry room was just down the hall and convenient to use. The building feels secure and safe. On the negative side, this is probably the most spartan-equipped VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. There were four dinner plates, saucers, bowls, cups, and juice glasses, plus a couple of skillets and saucepans. No mixing bowls or serving bowls. No wine glasses or full-sized tumblers. There was absolutely nothing available for preparing food (no salt/pepper, olive oil, spices of any kind, etc.); no aluminum foil or plastic wrap or storage containers. The website stated there was a teapot but we couldn’t find it. No toaster. Even a basic hotel room has some coffee and creamer and sugar. None here. So be prepared to do some basic shopping if you plan to cook in this unit. The room itself seemed a bit tired. The couch looked soiled and wasn’t that appealing to use. Also, one of the chairs on the deck was unraveling and seemed unsafe to sit on. Finally, nearly all B&B’s we’ve stayed at have provided some sort of “welcome basket” (a starter kit of coffee, some local treats, brochures about things to do, directions for using the TV, internet, etc.). The view of the marina and the beach is just wonderful, The Ilikai offer great value comparing the other nearby hotels, would definitely recommend.
