We loved our stay at Sugar Beach 502! The bed was extremely comfy. The beach was my little girl's most favorite thing. The condo was very clean and had all the amenities. Maui never disappoints and now we have a new place to stay for future visits.

This gem is underrated... it is way better in person than pictured online. It has great property location and is a corner unit so there are extra windows! It has a lovely view of the overall property and afternoon sun.
It was immaculately clean, well updated and had very thoughtful additions throughout! The linens were very cozy and all of the furniture was comfortable. Perfect space for 3 grown ladies with lots of luggage! We had been in 4 other units throughout the complex in our 2.5 week stay in Maui and this unit is by far the best one were were in! Do not hesitate to book- it will be lovely.
The shower was not moldy or gross (unlike other units in this complex), the updates made this place look and feel larger than it is.
They do need new beach chairs as they are older and one was broken when we arrived but this is not a deal breaker. The only con about this unit is that it's located on Sugar Beach - it's not my favorite Maui location due to the bad rotting fish smell that comes from the nature preserve north of this property. It reeks across the property and along Sugar Beach in general. However, it has nothing to do with this unit as it's awesome. And the local host was very responsive, flexible and a pleasure to work with!!

Beautiful modern and comfortable places to spend you perfect family Maui vacation. Amazing view,there were everything you need for your stay. Better then hotel 100%. Perfect for 4 people. We enjoyed it so much. I give this place 5 stars.

The property is nice but a little dated. The outside of the property could use a fresh coat of paint. The unit was updated very nice. However the shower design is horrible. It leaks water everywhere. You had to put down towels and take the shower mat out to draw in between showers. Besides that no issues.

We had a great time! This location is right on the beach with a well maintained pool. The apartment is newly renovated and had everything we needed, including beach supplies. The kids were thrilled to have boogie boards for the beach. It’s also centrally located and easy to get to other parts of the island. Marco, who was on site was kind and very responsive. Highly recommend and would return again.

Room was modern however could use some general cleaning and touch-ups. I needed to vacuum upon my arrival as there was some dirt and crumbs around the condo. Linens and Towels seemed to be clean, condo needs to be dusted and wiped down. Condo was well equipped. Although older building, seems to be well maintained. Parking was easy and location was convenient for our needs.

This is our second time staying at sugar beach. But this condo stood out to us. Beautifully clean renovated suite with both ocean and green views on each side. This suite had EVERYTHING we needed for our trips to the beach which made it so easy for us from beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers and cooler bags, boogie boards, and even snorkling gear. The suite its self had all the amenities from towels, beach towels, toiletries even a laundry machine which made it so easy to do laugndry. Even the kitchen was fully stock with items to cook, and store food. Locations was perfect it’s in between all the major spots like Kihei, Lahaina, and Kalului. Our host Lara was so friendly and helpful as well.

No personal touches, other rentals we've stayed in had a nice welcome bag of goodies & local suggestions..this had nothing. King bed was incredibly low to the ground making in/out a difficult experience. Shower had no door or curtain just a glass panel so water got out all over the floor & soaked the mat & towels we had to put down all the time. Had to do laundery daily due to lack of sufficient towels & needing to use them on the floor. Did provide chairs/umbrellas & beach things but didnt use snorkel gear rented instead because od cleanliness. A/c didnt shut off when doors to balcony were open even though it was supposed to. Was clean & well stocked but so much stuff in the few cupboards that there was no place to put our few groceries. Was nice enough but wont rent that unit again. Prefer owner-rented units to management-rented units due to more personal attention to detail & better beds..this one was so low, no box spring & very uncomfortable. Light bulbs were out in several lights including bedroom overhead.

This was our first time visiting the sugar, beach, condo complex, and our second time visiting Maui. During our previous vacation, we stayed in a large hotel. We loved all of the amenities the condo offered, and the complex was very well kept and quiet. In our opinion, it was very centrally. Located to get out and about and discover the rest of the island. The condo unit we stayed in was in beautiful condition and had everything we needed for our week. Our two children slept on the couch pull out bed and said it was very comfortable. For a one bedroom, we felt it was plenty of room for our family of four. The kitchen really made the week more affordable and love the bbq grills by the pool. We enjoyed having a washer and dryer in the unit as well. We look forward to coming back soon.

Welcome to #502 and you’ll be well housed for a fantastic Maui vacation!This unit is as described in the listing. The updated kitchen renovations have definitely opened up and give an enlarged roominess to the unit. As this is an end unit, the side window also provides a feeling of spaciousness. The view from the lanai gives the advantage of two directions - one to the ocean and the other to the Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge. The living room furniture and bed mattress (including pillows) are all new and extremely comfortable. All dishware and cutlery is of high quality too. The keyless entry is a bonus. Also, Marco is always nearby if there may be something you need him for. If it is an option with your rental vehicle, rent a large cooler so your lunch is packed as the adventures await you! Cruisin Maui rental vehicles have been a very popular place for renting Jeeps!The central location of Sugar Beach (north Kihei road) makes it perfect for departing in any direction as you tour and explore Maui. I hope my review will encourage you about this unit. I know I’ll make a return visit. Happiest of holidays!

Overall loved the cute condo, would totally stay there again! There was some spots on the sliding door that separated the restroom from the bedroom that looked like blood. You do have to be really careful while showering because the water does get out leaving a puddle on the floor. Besides that we really did enjoy our stay here. Loved the location as well, everything was pretty close! Would totally look into staying here again.

We stayed in the fifth floor, in an updated unit. Had a great view of the ocean and pool/property. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. They had beach supplies as in beach chairs, a small cooler, goggles/snorkeling gear (we did not use as we brought our own), even a couple boogie boards! We had to buy life jackets for my kids because the waves on most beaches were humongous. There were not enough towels in the room, I told management and he very promptly brought us some more towels. There were enough lounge chairs by the pool. We didn’t try the sand which cafe so can’t comment on that. The property is old and can definitely use some paint on the buildings. The shops at the front of the property are not inviting, everything looks faded and as if no one has been by in years, so we did not go into even one. Overall loved our stay, although we did not stay in the hotel for very much. Pool was on the cold side. One night there were a lot of police officers in the parking lot, turns out someone stole a catalytic converter from a guests car, thankfully not our car. Security therefor could be improved.

Our stay at this unit was very accommodating and comfortable. Everything was modern and updated. The bedding was nice but the pillows and bed itself were not comfortable, even after 8 nights. The shower drained onto the outside of the stall so we had to make sure towels trapped the water as much as possible so it didn’t make too much of a mess. But overall very accommodating.The unit was perfect for the two of us for our stay and easily accessible to the pool and beach. The ABC store and bakery were a short walk on the beach. This unit is near the road so traffic was heard. The structure also seems to act as somewhat of a funnel for the winds, making it difficult (impossible) to enjoy the lanai most mornings/evenings as this area was very, very windy during our stay. We experienced an “unfortunate incident” on our last morning. Although the door latches locked, keep the deadbolt in place as well for additional security.

The overall experience was awesome one problem was plates were to big for dishwasher so ended up washing all our dishes. The shower could have been cleaned a little better but rest of condo was very clean.
