The condo was great! It was clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed opening up the patio door and enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean. Great central location for all we wanted to do on Maui. We had a small, not urgent, mechanical issue come up during our stay and it was fully resolved by the professional staff in less than 2 hours.

Pros: great location and view, quiet, condo was equipped with a variety of useful things (i.e.beach towels, iron, vacuum, coffee maker, cooler, clean), clean towels, set of clean sheets, rooms had working fans, one air conditioning in living room, place appeared somewhat clean ( bathroom was clean, kitchen clean, bed was made and things were in order, refrigerator and microwave were clean and working), pool area was clean, reserved car space for rental, gas/convenience store, restaurant and gift shopped close by, Maui aquarium in walking distance. Other guests were nice and respectful. Outside area (trash, fish pond, lawn maintenance was well kept.Cons: lock on door was very difficult to open despite have correct lock code, most of the time I entered the apartment from back porch sliding door, found dead and living bugs inside and outside of the apt (big cockroaches and small ants) air conditioning was very noisy which was annoying at night, never met the apt manager due to limited office hours (office hours were 9:00am-1:00pm). Unable to access WiFI and Cable TV.

Great spot - right on the ocean with amazing views. There was a modest beach which was quiet and we saw sea turtles every night. Tried to snorkel in the area but waves has it too stirred up. The central location was great!

Perfect location for exploration to North-West and South-East sites, also close to airport. Condo had minimal needs, linens, coffee maker, microwave, etc. But, short on convenient items like cushions for lanai set, extra kitchen storage containers, or larger totes to help carry items to beaches and car. Condo could have additional recliner to marry with the convertible couch. I'd recommend this to others but know that furnishings are limited which management should think about as distant travelers are not going to bring the items that make a stay cozy like home, and I don't think travelers are going to purchase to be left.

The condo itself was great. The view was awesome and the house has everything we needed. The comforter on the bed had many stains so we just used a blanket from the closet. Even when the AC was off the thing was running constantly which made the lanai hard to enjoy. The only downside was the people that lived there that came down to the pool and complained about something daily. Not once did I feel that the pool area was loud but someone came down daily and asked others to be quiet. We just told everyone not to use the pool at that point. It wasn’t worth the mean people.

We really loved the place. The beach is technically in the back yard. Everything is well throught through. The host provided every thing we needed for our vacation, from great sets for going to the beach (towel, chair, umbrella, rain coat, etc.) to great guide books about Maui to a fully furnished kitvhen.

The comforter on the bed was stained and dirty. Ugg! The bathroom fan was very dusty Ugg! Only on small roll of toilet paper & paper towels.

Island Sands has a great location no matter where you are exploring on the island. Unit 110 has a spectacular view of the ocean. If you go during whale watching you can see plenty of action right from your patio. The unit had everything we needed while not being overdone. It is a great size for a couple. Management staff (Chelsea) was very responsive to any questions or issues. Would like to see the unit updated some to be a perfect place all around.

We were very pleased with the the condo overall. It fit our needs exactly as a family of three that includes a very active 15 month-old. The sitting area and lanai have a gorgeous ocean view, especially for sunrise, and it walks right out to a grassy area that is perfect for running around in. There was a small beach down some steps no more than 50 feet off the porch. We even saw some sea turtles on the beach just after sunset one day. We would absolutely come back. The location is great as well--nice to be 15 minutes from the center of both Kihei and Kahului so we had many options to eat within an easy drive.

I was underwhelmed with the overall property. Especially disappointed that the bedroom ceiling fan was not operational which made sleeping uncomfortable along with a strange “window” with glass louvers that allowed outside noise in.

We had a great time during our vacation!! The property was in pretty good shape, very clean, and our rental manager, Chelsea, was so sweet, patient, and quick to respond to any and all of our questions.My husband and I also appreciated the beach gear - it certainly made the trip better! We couldn’t get enough of those views from the porch either...absolutely stunning!!
