We enjoyed our two week stay at Papakea. The grounds was lovely and the staff was so kind. The room needs updating very badly. From the toaster to the shower everything was 1990 @ best. Could just be this unit. We dont know. But wouldnt stay in this unit again. The resort was wonderful.

We had the most memorable trip to Hawaii ever with our family. We have often stayed in hotels, and this was our first condo rental. It was flawless with check in, etc... Overall we can't really complain compared to the family memories we had. The only slightly negative feedback we could give is that it was warm the time we were there, and the A/C was great, but it was a bit warm in the back bedroom, but the large fan helped with that. It would be great if the condos at Papakea had small bedroom window A/C's. The fire alarm was broken, not functional or hooked up at all. Thankful there was no fire, but everything else was either resolved or not an issue. The view from the condo is incredible! The Papakea complex is so peaceful and quiet and family friendly. The hotels are a zoo. Not the Papkea. The quiet hours are so nice. So many things for the kids to do, and when the tide is calm, it was incredible snorkeling on the two reefs right in front on the beach. We desperately want to return and stay in this unit again. Thank you so much to the owners. I don't know why the price was such a special price for us that week, but we probably could not have afforded it otherwise. We were so blessed to be able to stay here, everything but the two things mentioned were immaculate and wonderful. We have treasured memories that will last a lifetime. THANK YOU a million times over!!!!!!!

Had a great time here. Apartment was in great condition and very clean when we arrived. It was stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, an umbrella, books to read, and a set of snorkel equipment. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking gear. Resort was low-key and relaxing, with a small beach located below the seawall.
The bed was on the softer side, we had no complaints with it but I know some people dislike those types of beds. All in all it was a great stay!

The location was amazing, grounds amazing, view fantastic, beach wonderful. Loved the giant spa, plenty to do. Room was fine, brand new a/c was welcomed. The beds were not comfortable, there was an odd smell and the fridge made creepy noises.

The place is nice and view is great.
Papakea is super nice and quiet with nice amenities like pool and hottub.
This unit did not have a working ac as advertised. We had a few issues related to the broken ac during our visit and it definitely made our experience less than desirable. Vacasa is not reliable to resolve anything and the resort employees definitely know when you’re renting from them or Vacasa or any other property rental agency.

We loved everything about it. It was a very nice apt, size enough for a couple. The resort is very nice, all the staff was super friendly with us. The sunset was to die for. The resort is also close to many amenities and beaches and food places to explore. So it is definitely a good spot as a base location to from travel around West Maui.

We loved waking up each morning and having our coffee/tea out on the lanai. The view of the ocean by day and pool/yard lit up in the evening is beautiful. We love the location, close to Lahaina, Napili, the Times Grocery, Food Truck Park and also close to the beach walk that takes you all the way to the Eldorado.

The accommodations are updated and warm and inviting. As an unexpected plus watching the whales breach and spout daily from the lanai was a special bonus.

Nice view of the ocean from the room and lanai.
Dishwasher rack does not seem to be correct (it falls into the gap when opening and closing). Disposal has been disconnected. Kitchen sprayer missing a part. Coffee maker indicator light is out (so you can't see when it is on). Three leaks in the kitchen ceiling: two above the stove, one above the sink. Toilet runs off and on (float needs adjustment/replacement.

We were really happy with the place. The accommodation was great and included everything we needed. The location was excellent with lots of bars and restaurants nearby as well as the pool being right next to the beach. The apartment included lots of extras like boogie boards, games, snorkels etc. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!
