This place had everything we needed and many extras. The view was fabulous from the balcony and living room.
The pool and the grounds were excellent. The location was great, the only drawback being the traffic noise from the street, but the sound of the waves pretty much neutralized that.
The following items were not satisfactory: the screen on the sliding door came off and needs replacing, the wall in the bathroom needs repair, the tub faucet needs replacing. Honestly, with some basic renovation, this place could easily be a 4- star.
All in all, it was a wonderful stay.

Spectacular ocean views on this 2nd floor unit. We stayed with 2 teens and 1 used the pullout and Candace was nice enough to send an air mattress for the other. Kitchen fully stocked, pans, plates and a few spices, oils. Beds were comfy. Pool was great. Access to beach, shopping and bakery near by. All within walking distance. This is a well loved unit and can use some new carpet and repairs to the sliding glass doors, but the view made it all worth it. Road noise in front bedroom might be an issue for some, but was fine for us as we live in a big city. Value of this condo would bring us back again.

In truth, we spent very little time during daylight hours in the unit, and it was adequate for our needs. The location is convenient for both south and north side island activities whether it is Waimea Canyon hiking or Hanalei Bay / Na Pali Coast surfing, snorkeling or exploring. Grocery stores are close and you can walk to the Coconut Market.
The unit is well equipped for basic needs. One of the Tommy Bahama beach chairs was broken beyond repair so we hand to purchase a replacement. The unit is only air ci destined by a portable unit in the bedroom and the e rest of the unit gets very stuffy during the day. But the bedroom unit cools the sleeping area adequately well for comfortable sleeping.
It looks like the carpets, paint and furnishings have not been replaced for more than a decade but are comfortable and for the little time we spent in the unit (mostly watching Netflix after dark) was just fine.
The best part of the unit is the view the value.
For value and convenience we would consider staying here again!

This condo was exactly what we were looking for. Located right off the main road, it was easy to get around. The beach right next door was beautiful and it was a quick walk to and from a little shopping mall and differemt beach up the road. Many restaurants in walking distance also. Having in room laundry was a perk, and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. Bedroom was comfortable with the AC, and the rest of the condo stayed pretty cool with windows open and fans on. You can tell the condo is a bit dated but for the cost, it is more than worth it. Would definitely stay again.

We stay at this complex due to the great ocean view and location, depending on the price and availability of the units. There are tradeoffs: the nicer, upgraded units are more expensive.
Pros: Beach equipment, numerous towels & hangers, kitchen accoutrements, A/C and sound machine in bedroom.
Cons: screen doors need to be replaced, tripping hazard separates kitchen, carpet dinginess, dingy foam sofa.
The screen doors were in terrible shape. The righthand door was completely off the tracks, leaning against the lanai, and the lefthand one barely moved. We asked the property manager about it the next day. Although the response was quick, we were told that they had "screen door specialists working on the door" who have "been making great progress." (???) And someone "will come in the morning" to work on it. No one came after two more days, at which time we reached out again. Although someone did eventually come, the doors remained difficult to move. Multiple reviewers have mentioned the screen doors, which continue to be problematic. They need to be replaced.
The carpet in the photos looks newly cleaned and thus didn't represent what we experienced; it could really use a thorough cleaning. There is an unfortunately located raised laminate bar thingie on the floor separating the kitchen from the hall that we both hurt our feet on.
While we'd stay here again, just know the unit is dated and the screen doors are in sore shape. The ocean view is always a winner!

My family really enjoyed the condo and the views. The decor was cute and cozy, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking needs, and having beach chairs and an ice chest was nice: The back bedroom is air-conditioned and far from the front of the condo. My husband and I were cool in there, but the teens slept in the living room, and the ocean breeze was limited by the condo wall next door. A fan was supplied from maintenance, which helped us with the heat. The place was clean, but a few updates (screens, shower doors, bed pillows) could make this place perfect. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

The rental was wonderful in every way. Beautiful view and comfortable, clean living space. Plenty of room for 4 adults. Easy walk to beach and hose for showering off sand was super helpful! Great location for getting anywhere around the island. Nearby Safeway and drug store. In room washer/dryer was a plus too! Would highly recommend!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Wailua Bayview. The condo was very clean and was exactly as advertised. I especially appreciated the beach gear. I fell in love with Kauai, and I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect for exploring any place on the island with approximately 40 minute drives for the north shore or poipu. Waimea canyon is also a reasonable drive from here. The condo itself was very comfortable and the perfect place to relax after our adventures. This was a trip I will never forget!

We enjoyed our stay at this Wailua Bay condo. It is in a central location on the main road that takes you to Lihue, the South shore or the North Shore.. Even though it is close to the road,, the traffic noise didn't bother us. A sandy, swimming beach is right next door.
When we weren't out exploring the beautiful island of Kauai, we were jrelaxing on the balcony overlooking the ocean and enjoying the cool breezes.
The condo could use an update. The furniture and carpet appear old and need a good cleaning. The bed was a bit soft but comfortable. The air conditioner sits in a corner of the bedroom and cooled the room down nicely.. The kitchen had a minimal supply of dishes, pots and pans, and utensils - enough to cook simple meals - unless you want to cook in the microwave - there wasn't anything to do that. There was salt and pepper but no other spices or staples, and nothing like saran wrap, tin foil, or ziplocs.
Overall, this was a good place for our stay on Kauai.

Our trip to Kauai was for my wife's Birthday and we weren't disappointed 1 bit. The view from our rental was wonderful,we loved it. The unit even though is older was sparkling clean. As was the entire property. For my wife and I it was perfect.

We enjoyed staying here, it fit our needs, there is some traffic/ construction on the main street that made it a little hard getting in and out but for the most part we were leaving early enough in the day for our excursions it wasn't a problem. It was nice being able to see the beach from this condo.

had a great time at this condo for my stay on Kauai! it had everything I need for my stay , it had a great location and was close to everything. I was gone most days but when I returned for the night I felt right at home. the condo has a great view where I would spend my morning having coffee while watching the waves hit the beach. the unit had a washer & dryer which is one of the best things to have, it allowed me to not have to bring a lot of clothes I was able to do laundry without having to try a laundromat. There is an AC unit in the bedroom which allowed me to sleep very well, wish the living room also had one I could have enjoyed it more when it was hot. like I said I was gone most of the time so wasn't a hug issue. Overall I would highly recommend this place & would return on my next visit.

To be honest, we were up very early and not back home until later every day. For that purpose, the lodging worked well. We're not the type of family that dwells on staying in our room during a trip to Hawaii. Room was fairly clean with no real issues to point out. We almost never turned on the TV and we didn't eat any meals at the residence. I would recommend this condo but always balance who you are, what you expect, and what you're paying so that you and those staying with you can have a good experience. Thanks again

The location is actually good in spite of the traffic jams in Wailua area on a daily basis. Plan to either get out early or sit in traffic. Morning and afternoons especially clogged up on highway.
Kauai was home to me for 40 years so this trip was not really about seeing the sites, but about seeing my kids and grandkids who still live here. We made use of pool and bbq area 2 of the 3 nights we were here. Thanks! It was great!
Loved walking down to Coconut Marketplace for evening meal and live music at center stage. Many places to choose from for eats.

Lovely little condo with a great view. Had a couple of minor issues on check-in and they were addressed immediately. Good location for north or south shore activities and close to stores and shopping. Great price too! Would definitely book it again.
