Love Sugar Beach! The room was clean but could use some updating. Wish there were beach chairs and 4 chairs on lanai instead of two sit down chairs and one lay down chair which takes almost half of the lanai. The curtains on the bedroom are too short, lets in too much light at night, carpet needs a good cleaning or be replaced.along with the drapes. We have been coming here since 1982 and will be back.

The unit was as promised. The managers provided items I've had to supplement in other units in the past -- lots of laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, etc. Small details but annoyances if you have to go out and buy more on vacation. We've already put down our deposit for next year!

I would definitely recommend this property & unit to others. The beach front view is spectacular and is exactly like the photo online. The sun sets are incredible from the balcony and the beach is beautiful... While visually the building / unit is "dated" in some ways... it has brand new washer/dryer (always a bonus) the kitchen is fully loaded with literally just about anything you need to cook your own meals. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but they looked decent and they have beach front views as well ! The host's management company communicates well and provides excellent information about check-in, etc. They even had a thoughtful welcome package in the unit for us which was a very nice touch. Great location - close to centre of island so it's easy to get to both Kaanapali , Wailea if you have a car. I would definitely stay at this unit again if the opportunity arose.

Only a 15 min drive from a cluster of shops and restaurants, this property is in a good location and felt safe, quiet & family friendly throughout for 3 nights there.
PROS: Quiet, clean, family friendly, pool, hit tub, BBQ, on the beach, full kitchen, A/C, stunning views, elevator, free parking.
CONS: We didnt know there was an elevator so we hauled all our luggage up 4 flights of stairs. We weren't given the pool access code and so when we talked to the front desk, they seemed agitated that we "hadn't checked in with them". They told us we needed a parking pass...etc. We didnt know any of that. There wasn't enough towels, no extra pillows, pillows were flat. The restaurant downstairs was closed when they were supposed to be open. Multiple people peeking inside cause they were hankering for a sandwich.
All in all, for the price... I may stay somewhere else. But it wasn't 5 stars.

We felt so welcome from the moment we walked in. The place was spotless, the furniture was all very clean and looked new. The condo had all the amenities we could have wanted and the rooms felt homey without it feeling like you were intruding on someone else’s home. The view is phenomenal and the balcony seats are so relaxing. The resort itself is in a great location, lots of parking and easy to get to and from the condo. Easy access to the beach for long beach walks, runs, swimming, and canoeing. The pool and barbecue areas were clean and felt like a resort. It was so hard to leave and cannot wait to go back!

We love the Sugar Beach Condos. Have stayed there 3 times because we are right on the beach and listening to the surf from the lanai. This time, we were on the 4th floor. Our unit was clean, comfortable mattress and well appointed.

My friend and I had a great time staying at Condo 424 at Sugar Beach. Was a wonderful place. We sat on the deck for many hours and enjoyed the sun and the view. Many wonderful walks down the beach looking for shells, dipping in the ocean and just absorbing all the positive vibes of nature. Great central location for heading out in all directions. I have stayed at Sugar Beach many years ago and will come back and stay here again in the future. It just feels like the perfect home away from home! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Loved every minute especially the ultimate view, walks along the beaches, pool and hot tub, close to great hikes, snorkeling and restaurants. Even dropped by the outrigger club and joined in for an early morning of paddling. The place was clean and had more room than the pictures showed. The communication with booking was excellent. We will definitely be back. It was more expensive than most of the rental spots we book and worth every penny.

Enjoyed our stay. Once we figured out TV, enjoyed being able to watch our Netflix etc shows each evening. Didn’t find a cutting board in kitchen - could have used one. Nice to have reliable elevators - unlike some places we’ve stayed.

This vacation condo was great. Very clean. Located in the perfect spot on the beach with super whale watching and awesome sunsets. We plan on returning. Highly recommend!!!!

the stay was great, the room is clean, but some need to be changed to a new one, the kettle is already rusty, the coffee maker, the grains get into the coffee, the stove was a little dirty, and some buttons are broken, the bedroom doors creak very much, our child woke up from them , in the shower, the paint on the doors was peeling off, the hood was rusty and poorly screwed on, there was not enough toilet paper, we were two weeks old, they gave two rolls for 4 people, they also left few garbage bags. The refrigerator is generally painted with paint, where the handles can already be replaced.
The blue bedspread on the bed was very stinky, it had not been washed for a long time, I had to wash it, the towels also stank, I washed it myself, and some of the towels had a hole. On one armchair there was dirt on the handles, it had not been wiped for years, such grease from the hands, it was unpleasant to sit down there. In general, you need to wipe everything well, clean it or completely throw it away and buy a new one.
The most pleasant thing was the view from the window, the sound of the waves, palm trees, the area is beautiful and clean. The pool is a bit cold for December, it was cold to swim with a child, I don’t know the jacuzzi, because the company always sat there for a long time and drank cocktails and did not leave it, so other people couldn't get in there. The sauna is terrible, very old and scary. Wouldn't recommend.

We stayed at Sugar Beach Resort 3 years ago, because our normal condo building was being renovated. We had friends who had never been to Hawaii, but they had it at the top of their bucket list. We volunteered to be their tour guides, so we rented two units. 424 and 530. We were in 424, so I can’t comment very much on 530, but It looked like a nice unit. We had a good stay, but the unit could use some upgrades. We love the location and the grounds, and I can recommend staying there, but look the units over carefully. We hopefully will be back in a few years!

The apartment is very comfortable, it has everything you need. The condo is also nice, good amenities. The Lanai is the cherry on top! I'd definitely come back for another stay and recommend.
