The property is nice, and the location cannot be better to stay with family - ease of beach access, restaurants and grocery was super valuable. The response time from the help desk was good and the keyless checkin was easy. Few things as our group size was larger (5) - 1/after the 3rd person took bath we appeared to out of hot water.. this was a problem when coming back from the beach and if u have kids w long hair and the water runs cold. 2/there are a number of nice amenities /extras stocked in the house like beach chairs, snorkeling gear but the property feels a bit dated .. you need to look around and figure if/what works.. I tried putting the beach shade with mixed luck. The curtain rod (in the bath with suction attach) kept falling off. 3/on one of the nights all parking spots were taken. Hope this helps. We would consider staying again for its location.

Our unit was pretty small for four adults (brother and sister, and sister's friends/couple. Thought the sofa was a sofabed, but wasn't. Beautiful well maintained property. Stocked with beach toys, chairs, snorkeling equipment. We greatly enjoyed playing board games and watching sea turtles and sunsets.

Overall a good unit in this building. Great beach. A bit noisy and upon arrival our floors very dirty.Mgmt company insisted they “were” clean but dust must have settled prior to our arrival (?). In any case, mgmt should probably be rectify for future guests.

We arrived in the evening. No one was available and I couldn’t reach anyone by phone. I contacted the person whose number was on the office door. He informed me they don’t have a “402” we thought we were inthe wrong place. We finally received a call back and was able to access the unit. The floors were not clean,the fan in living room didn’t work, master faucet squirted water everywhere and no extra towels. Location was great. Unit no so much.

Over all the rental was fine. It would have been nice since we were there for two weeks if someone had poked their head in the door and asked if we needed any supplies. We left on the 19th and on the 18th we couldn't get in because the lock combination had been changed. As we were trying to call the emergency number. which wasn't answering, someone walked by who had some sort of authority and got us in with a new code.

This property was amazing! located on the beach in between two wonderful beaches. The view is astonishing. We watched whales from the lanai. We ended up with leak in garbage disposal, the management was easy to work with and made quick accommodations for us. The place could use a better cleaning. Floors, curtains, and windows need TLC. With that said, we would stay there again!!! The property manager Christina is the most helpful sweetest person! She really cares about it, it shows.

The place has a great view and good location. Easy check in and out.Downfalls were elevator was out for half our stay, being on the 4 th floor with a 2 yr old and all our belongings with no elevator was inconvenient.Also there were rats by the trash that were not afraid of people.Never was able to get anyone in the office they were never there.

The condo 402 at Kamaole is great. The view is a little bit obstructed by the building on the left but you still have an amazing ocean view from the kitchen and the balcony. The table on the balcony is too large for the space and the chairs too high in our humble opinion. The kitchen was well furnished, the beds are comfortable. Only issue was the shower, if you take simultaneously showers the hot water runs out but I don't mind taking cold showers. Otherwise, the space is great, the A/C is convenient on some hot days, the location is outstanding, you are 100 feet away from an amazing beach and plenty of great restaurants across the streets. Safeway is only 2 miles away.

We visit Maui annually and this unit didn’t disappoint! Unit was clean, well stocked, with beautiful view! Located within walking distance to many restaurants and stores. Beach is beautiful with great snorkeling.The turtles were amazing and seen from the lawn! The property is well maintained with friendly staff. Cafe O’lei directly across the street has incredible food with top notch service! Ekolu, found in Azeka’s Plaza is new with a 5-star culinary experience! Only complaint, check-in was 4pm which is later than standard and we were not able to access unit until almost 5pm. Checkout was 10am, earlier than standard. The allowed us a 1-hour extension without a fee.

I did enjoy the location of the rental and the outdoor areas. The unit we stayed in was not as nice as I thought it would be and had issues with cleanliness. Windows/screens have a tremendous amount of built up dirt. Kitchen was not very well taken care of. Older appliances and some items were extremely dirty.

It was nice but I thought there would be a/c and it was hot. It was a bit dusty and a bit noisy. Kind of expensive for no a/c and no jacuzzi . They needed to install a working dishwasher. And pest control was done while we were there. I just think we should have been notified but it wasn’t bad. I didn’t notice any odor.
The check in process was great I would definitely check out another property in the future.

The location of this property is the best. We explored many other beaches in Maui, but we should’ve just stayed where were. Easy to access beach, not crowded, perfect sand, empty pool 4/5 times we used it, perfect view from the linai. Well stocked and very clean inside the unit. Extremely responsive management of the unit that provided a welcome gift, called to check in and answered all questions. The. Only suggestion I would have is to get another beach towel or two. There were only four in the unit, but 5 of us. Another suggestion is to provide a bath mat for outside the showers…water tended to get outside the shower curtain no matter how careful we were! Also, this is very close to many restaurants, shaved ice and the general store-easily within walking distance. If I ever come back to Maui, I would stay here in a heartbeat!!!

Property was a great location for beach access and lots of dining directly across the street. The beach was a very short walk and had sea turtles and a coral reef you can snorkel. Snorkel gear for rent across the street. The condo was clean with the exception of the floors. No AC but a lovely breeze generally blew through. Beach chairs, sand toys, umbrella, and towels provided. Toiletries and curling iron provided as well. Beds were comfortable but the pillows were not. Gorgeous sunset views from the property. Overall great stay.

This place would have easily been a 5 star place if it wasn't for the small water heater. Location was great since it was close to the beach and several places to eat. The property was clean. It should be mentioned that no A/C is present even though it does show up under the AIRBNB algorithm for having an A/C. There was not enough hot water to go around for even 2 people to shower. We are from California and know how to conserve water. Being in Hawaii and enjoying the beaches and pools will involve taking multiple showers to clean up. Being a family of 5, when the hot water runs out quite quickly is disappointing. The management company was able to appropriately adjust the nightly rate. Until a larger water heater is placed, this place is definitely not meant for more than a family of 2-3.

This is SUCH a great apartment for a family vacation! Superb location - VERY close to a beautiful beach with gentle waves and even for snorkeling to see colorful fish (plus you can listen to the waves as you fall asleep) and plenty of restaurants (and coffee!) and grocery stores nearby. The washer/dryer in the unit was a HUGE bonus - we packed lighter since we could do laundry there. And I loved the colorful little clothespin-clips so I could dry bathing suits on the lanai. We loved the abundance of extra beach and bath towels and extra pillows and linens in the apartment too. Comfy couch, lots of seating, well-appointed kitchen (thank you for dish-towels!), beach chairs, comfy beds too. And it's a little thing, but I'm so glad the floor isn't tile - the laminate wood is so much nicer underfoot. We would definitely stay again, anytime. Just a few tiny suggestions: there wasn't enough hand-soap included and no supply to refill the dispensers; we could have used salt & pepper shakers several times; the sponge in the sink was stinky, I threw it away the first day; it would be great to have some sort of stick-vacuum to do quick sweeps of the inevitable sand that gets everywhere; a few office supplies (scissors, tape, a notepad) would be useful. Some of our favorites: Peace Love Shave Ice!! (get it with Mac ice cream!); Coconuts Fish Cafe (fish & chips and fish tacos!); Good coffee at Cafe @ La Plage, and Beach Street (NOT so great coffee/service at Lava Java); fab breakfast at Papa'aina (french toast!!) in Lahaina

We were very happy with our VRBO rental. The location and view were amazing! We could sit on the deck and see the ocean, watch the sunset and even see some whales! The beach out front was lined with lava rocks with sandy beaches on both sides. The location was also within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The only draw back was a noisy road behind the condo building. That was not a deal breaker. We would for sure stay at this location again!

I loved the location of this property, however was not very pleased with the cleanliness. We found a huge roach in one of the bedrooms on our 2nd night and the kitchen was full of grime with dirty dishes in the cabinets, as well as a dirty fridge. The toilets were not flushing when we arrived and had to plunge them repeatedly to get them to flush. The picture above the bed in the master bedroom was not secure enough to the wall and fell down in the middle of the night. Not a nice thing to be woken up to! The bathrooms are extremely small and not easy to manuever into (I am 5'3" and weigh 130 pounds, so I can't imagine being much bigger and trying to manuever in there.) The pictures posted online were beautiful, but I don't believe they were a true representation of the unit. With all this being said the location is top notch!

Our family of 5 stayed in this unit in December 2021. It is a great location in Kihei right on the ocean between two beautiful beaches - Kamaole I and II. The building is designed so that every unit has unobstructed ocean views as shown in the photos. You can walk right out of the building onto the beach. Fantastic location! The unit is clean with a modern kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen is very well stocked and has an oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Bedrooms are spacious and the master has floor to ceiling windows. The unit does not have AC but has ceiling and floor fans that help the ocean breeze cool the unit. Parking was always available in the lot. We highly recommend this condo!
