Notice of Resort Improvements: Please note that spalling* repairs are being made to Tower 2. Project dates Mid-Aug ’23 to Mid-April 2024. There will not be any work done from 12/23 – 1/7. Expect construction noise throughout the property. Work hours 8 am to 4 pm Mon-Fri. Weekend work may be required in the event there are weather delays or unforeseen project delays. *Spalling consists of repairing the concrete surfaces of the exterior buildings. Tower 1 work may take place in 2024.

Upgraded and Renovated studio ocean-view condo at the Whaler on Ka'anapali Beach. This spacious studio can sleep up to 3 people. There is a California King bed and a Queen sofa sleeper. Located on the 5th floor and a short walk to the beach. There is a partial Ocean View from the lanai. There is a 37-inch TV in the living room and a large walk-in closet next to the bathroom. The kitchen features Granite Counters and stainless-steel appliances. There is also a Queen Sofa Sleeper which allows for up to three guests.

This condominium complex offers a 24-Hour Front Desk for your convenience. The property has central air conditioning, a fitness center, and complimentary coffee and tea available to you every day. There is one heated pool on the property and one hot tub for your enjoyment. This complex also has a great BBQ area right across the water for memorable sunset dinners. The property also has a complimentary laundry facility amongst other bonuses like complimentary parking, airplane boarding pass printing, and poolside cabanas.

The unit was nicely decorated and very comfortable. We loved the Whaler property. Everyone on the staff is so friendly and accommodating. The property is gorgeous and centrally located in the Ka’anapali Resort area. Loved the convenience of Whaler Village shops and restaurants nextdoor. The beach is incredible too! Thanks for helping to give us a perfect Maui vacation.

The Whaler is an amazing location in Ka'anapali right in Whaler's Village. The unit was big enough for the two of us, with views of the beach and ocean. While there is a dedicated parking pass, underground parking was rarely available, though there is an overflow surface lot very close by. The host provided several amenities, plenty of towels, and the place was very clean. We would definitely stay here again the next time we go to Maui!

We had a wonderful time in Kaanapali. Lot's of activities for adults and children. Our studio unit was adequate for two. The unit did not have any utensils for the barbaque which was listed as part of the resort fee.

We had a great time staying at this condo. It was right on the beach, super quiet, clean and centrally located to restaurants and grocery store. I would highly recommend this condo and resort!

The Whaler has terrible amenities! When using the only crowded pool, they operate using towel cards ( 1 old crappy towel per card) If you don’t have your car then NO towel for you! I had to walk a half mile to grab this stupid towel card to get a towel for my 3 year old. Mom , Dad show up at the pool with our toddler with 2 cards given at check-in, No Towel for the baby ! Just terrible rude people at the pool shack! At $600 - $1,500 a night for the Whaler how about you make your guests feel comfortable?

We booked this trip at the last minute and we’re very pleased with this unit. Great location in the building, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed eating on the lanai watching the whales.

We came to the Whaler to surprise my brother (who stays a month each year at the Whaler) for his 70th BD. We have been to Maui several time buy never stayed at the Whaler. We loved #514. It was a spacious studio, well equipped and with a great view. We will definitely be back!

This newly remodeled condo was perfect for the two of us. It is nicely furnished and has everything you need along with a great view. The location is walking distance to Whaler’s Village shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

This was the first post-COVID getaway for my wife and me and The Whaler did not disappoint. The studio unit was updated, very spacious, and had a great view of the July sunset. The full kitchen had everything that we needed for our weeklong stay and we were able to prepare many of our meals in our unit. Compared to many of the large resorts on Kaanapali the check-in and check-out process was quick, stress free, and easy. We were literally a 2 minute walk to the restaurants and shopping at Whalers Village and a five minute walk to Black Rock. Joseph and Blade at the beach cabana were able to provide us with beach umbrellas, chairs, towels, and snorkeling equipment - snorkeling at black rock is a must. We are already making plans to come back to The Whaler next year!
