We have stayed in other Pono Kai condos that seemed more like a 'home'. This condo was acceptable for our purposes. Main complaint is the condo could have been cleaner. A garment from a previous guest was found behind the bedroom dresser. In our opinion, the property needs a good 'deep clean'.

My partner and I stayed for about a week at this lovely resort and enjoyed every second of it. The balcony looks out over the resort with slight visibility of the ocean. The condo was clean and and fully stocked with kitchen needs as well as beach chairs, snorkeling gear, etc. Would definitely come back!

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, we were not able to travel. The host checked on our travel progress often and was gracious in accommodating our misfortune. Per the contract the host was not obligated to assist us in any way and chose to do so out of kindness. For this reason I am recommending this host, as these are the kind of people I choose to spend my hard earned money to support.

Overall we had great trip! The location was great for all the exploring we did around the island. The resort is on a very busy and noisy street, but other than that it was very nice and the condo was well stocked.

We had a little bump checking in when the property was booked under the owners name instead of my own. Wasn’t a huge issue though. This location is centrally located, super clean and has all the amenities you could need. We really enjoyed using the snorkeling gear to check out the fish at Lydgate. Sam's Ocean View restaurant is nearby and recommended to us by the owner and it was fantastic! We also enjoyed breakfast at Java Kai’s. Owner was quick to respond. We had a great stay.

The space was great, with a nice view of the grounds. We really appreciated having beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels in the room, plus sunscreen, aloe vera, guide books, a well-equipped kitchen, and even some food in the pantry. Loved the shower. Pretty quiet even though the bedroom faces the highway - just a little traffic in the morning but we used white noise and it was fine. We enjoyed walking to the nearby shops and on the beachfront trail. Great stay!

For all who chooses East coast as their location while in Kauai, Kapaa is a great small town and this condo is very comfortable. It is very clean, all appliances are in a great condition, and it offers all amenities you need for your stay and a trip to the beach. We were staying here for 7 days exploring the island and felt like coming back home after each long day. Easy five stars from us.

Very clean and well equipped unit. Kapaa is a great central location to explore the island. Here’s a tip: download the Gypsy Guide app for Kauai. It helped us discover many things we may have otherwise missed. Also, Pacos Tacos Nextdoor to the resort is excellent. Nice resort at a good price.

We’ll outfitted! So happy to find beach chairs, drying rack, cooler ice, some spices, olive oil, sunscreen, guide books. beach towels, and that’s just the things we used! Our friends stayed at a time-share in the same complex and has none of these.

Joanne place was wonderful. Had everything you needed and more. It was our first time in Kauai and was wonderful spending our 40th anniversary there.
