Lovely quiet upstairs corner Princeville condo with an ocean view, conveniently close to beaches, shopping, and dining. Private ocean view lanai, upgraded interior, and spacious master suite are just a few of the many features you'll love at Alii Kai 8H.

All of our Kauai vacation rentals at Aliii Kai II resort share the pool, jacuzzi, and barbecue areas, and lush landscaped tropical grounds. Parking is free. Shopping and dining in Princeville (including grocery store and wine shop) are just minutes away. In under ten minutes, you can be lying on a warm white-sand beach on Hanalei Bay, or be strolling the boutiques, galleries, and restaurants that line the main road through Hanalei. If you prefer to stay closer to home, the Princeville shopping center is only a mile away. You'll find a variety of dining choices from the fun, energetic Ti ki Iniki bar and grill to casual Asian take-out with outdoor dining (and often live music) to fancier fine Italian food. There's a Lappert's for ice cream. And the grocery has a generous selection of ready-to-eat local fare.

Alii Kai 8H is a spacious and updated 1200 sq ft. condo. You'll enjoy hanging out quietly on the private lanai, admiring the ocean and mountain views as you relax with your morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine. Master bedroom is perfect for romance with its comfortable king size bed, large overhead palm-leaf ceiling fan, and elegantly remodeled adjacent bathroom. There's plenty of room for a second couple in the guest bedroom with queen bed. Second guest bathroom means you won't have to share!

If you'd rather eat in, you'll find a full kitchen, beautifully updated. You can barbecue your catch of the day on the gas grill provided in the pool area, then dine al fresco on the lanai while enjoying the refreshing ocean breeze. For your convenience, a washer and dryer are provided right in the condo, and there is a free wifi connection. The furnishings are comfortable and the decor is charmingly island casual.

As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.

This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down stairs. There are no elevators.

Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.

Dishwasher did not work and would not be repaired or replaced during our 2 week stay. Toaster and microwave were broken. They did bring a new toaster and microwave. No hot pads available. Very little hot water in master shower. We were refunded one night stay for the inconveniences.

This unit was a little older and a few things didn't work-but the guest contact person was great! Very helpful. If you are a light sleeper, take earplugs! The roosters are beautiful however, POPULOUS & LOUD!!! Aloha!

The dishwasher was broken when we arrived and was beeping, they finally sent someone over and they disconnected the circuit breaker to stop the beeping, which also killed some of the outlets in one of the bedrooms. 2. In the other bedroom 1/2 of one of the outlets behind the bed stopped working.

Dishwasher didn't work for our stay, but we were advised in advance, all good.2. Hot water in master shower has a mind of it's own & shower door is tricky.3. #H8 Pool is not the one you view from the deck, look left, it's in the bld group 8+ & place gate fob to sensor to open.4. Coffee maker is a drip.5. Circuit breaker is behind the hall picture if outlets fail.6.The contact people are WONDERFUL, HELPFUL & PROMPT!!!7. The Crazy roosters are beautiful,treasured to the island i'm sure-but this visit I felt they had multiplied beyond words! Therefore, if you have GOOD hearing or NO earplugs...FORGET SLEEPING IN!8. Finally, it's evident that native Kauaian's have become quite impatient with tourists. I get it. They have to deal with MANY rude & "impatient" visitors in their HOME - but it sure made it a little less lovely :( (I don't need people honking their horns, shaking fists & heads & screaming at me...I can get that in SF or NYC!).9. All said, it was a nice visit for me & my 92 year old Mom who just wanted to go there "1 more time!"10. Note to Mom; "PARADISE is anywhere I get to spend time with you, <3 Lindy"

Had a very relaxing and pkeasant stay at Alii Kai 2. Comfortable and roomy condo with nice view of ocean and mountains. There were a few hiccups, like the dishwasher not working but the property management quickly responded. I would recommend .both the property and properties managed by Kauai Kahuna.

Great ocean view from the lanai.Wonderful to sit on the lanai and see whales out in the distance. One of the 2 beach chairs in the closet was broken. The property manager happened to contact us to make sure everything was going well(and it was) and we mentioned the chair. Next day a brand new chair was outside the door. Great service! We would definitely stay again.

I did not like the showers you could not regulate the water it was either too hot or cold. You thought you had it right & all of the sudden it too hot. It really needs to be fixed to Be able to give a better rating.

Nice and comfortable condo in a beautiful and quiet area. Ocean and Mountain View’s. Grounds are gorgeous. No a/c but able to stay comfortable. Good access to wind/breeze due to the condo being an end unit. Would stay here again. Very nice.

The furnishings, while adequate, are poorly suited to the size of the unit. In particular, one of the oversized side tables was placed behind a couch, extending into the hallway, right in the way of traffic. I severely stubbed my toe on this table, and so I moved it for the rest of our stay. The kitchen is very well supplied with cooking gear. However, the kitchen is not updated. The cabinets are old built-ins, and, the kitchen design is such that some cabinets are hard to reach. All in all, it is merely an adequate kitchen.The bathrooms are also merely adequate, with old painted cabinetry. The mirror has some flaking on the edges. The hot water in the main bathroom flowed intermittently, coming and going. This problem did not occur in the guest bathroom. We were happy to find some beach equipment in the closet, but the chairs provided were not of high quality. All in all, this unit is merely adequate, and is in need of better furnishings and a complete redesign. Also, the managers of this unit need to correct the provided literature. The WiFi password listed in both the literature given by Kauai Kahuna and in the binder in the unit is incorrect. We found the correct password in a small frame on the kitchen counter.The managers of Alii Kai also need to do better. The gas grills are ancient and need either repair or replacement. The burners are severely rusted, and I couldn’t get all the burners lit on some of the grills. Also the hot tub was working on our first night, but the heater went out, and for the remainder of our 30-day stay, we had no hot tub.In spite of the “merel6 adequate” condo, the location is great! We loved the views of the oceans and of the mountains from our lanai.None of the shortcomings of the unit affected our stay. Kauai is far too beaut

We loved sitting on the lanai and watching the sunset every evening. The lanai has 180 degree views which include the ocean and the mountains. A couple of small critiques- The smaller bedroom doesn't look like the pictures. The curtain rods are rusted and its difficult to move the drapes, which we did everyday. The stove doesn't have a vent/fan. The surface of the nonstick pans are shredded and are unhealthy to use.
