Neither VRBO or the property owner advised us that the unit we rented and paid for was unavailable until we called to check before we were to fly to Kauai. It cost us over $1,000 to remake necessary travel arrangements to return home. We will never recommend VRBO!

We enjoyed staying at this property so much. It was in a perfect, quiet location and the view was breathtaking. Couldn't have asked for a better time! The host was easy to contact and was helpful. Easy check in and out process. Loved it!

Loved the view of the ocean from the deck, living room and bedrooms. Pool was really great. We met a lot of great people at the pool. Many come back every year. Location was perfect. Mi utes to a golf course with mountain and ocean views. Close to many beaches. So many great food trucks. Condo needs a few upgrades but it has everything we needed. Includes parking, washer & dryer, dishwasher, 3 tvs, good wifi, good water pressure, closets with hangers, beach towels, toilet paper, and beach chairs.

It’s not thoroughly clean. All the fans are so dusty it’s blowing dust. The Kitchen & the Masters Shower is too small my husband is tall he has to bend to take a shower & the door is blocking the towel rack. The Living Room sofa is covered with a material so we have to spray with Lysol.No AC. Overall this condo needs a thorough renovating. Other than that Amazing Oceanfront View

Property owner extremely rude and unprofessional. The tub has a huge rust stain, the shower door was unhinged, the television in the living room was not working unless you played with the electrical outlet. The dryer has a high pitch noise so if you want to sleep avoid using at night. The bed mattress’s are old and hurt our backs. The fans in the living room and bedrooms were very dirty. The hallway light and living room lights did not work.

If you don’t mind no a/c and dated furniture then this condo is a gem! Kitchen has everything you need to cook meals, beds were comfy. The Oceanview is super nice and my kids loved the pool which was always mellow and never crowded.

The view here was awesome. I've stayed at Alli Kai twice before, so am familiar with the units. Even though it did mention this in the ad, I was a bit surprised that there literally was no spices or anything you would cook with other than salt and pepper. I've never seen this, so if you like to cook, either be prepared to buy every basic spice/herb or go without. Also, we were provided with 3 spoons. After quite a bit of searching, I found a stash a silverware in the very back of a lower cabinet, so just pulled a few spoons from there.
The master bed was comfortable, with the guest bed being a bit soft. It got uncomfortable after a few days. There's no AC, but they do provide plenty of floor fans. Rooms do get a bit warm in the afternoon though.
2nd bathroom is really where the most updates could be had. The towel racks fell down every time a towel was grabbed, until we just left it on the floor. The tub of the shower had pink staining, and what looked to be scratches or minor cracks. Water pressure was good.
Proximity to the pool was fantastic. Overall, I wouldn't choose to stay in this particular unit again unless the things I mention above are addressed. If you're on a budget though, this is probably good enough for the price with the view.

The property had beautiful views and was very spacious with everything you'd need to feel at home in the kitchen and around the house. Note that there is not air conditioning which, in April, was pretty brutal. They have numerous fans around the house. The unit could use some general updating but is perfectly serviceable.

Great location in the North shore. Walking distance to sea lodge and queens bath Right above Turtle Cove but wasn't sure how to get down there So close to Hanalei ( drive). Great view. Very comfortable

This property was in a fantastic spot in Princeville, super close to Queen's Bath, Anini Beach, and Hanalei Town. Check in was super easy. The owners were available as needed for any questions and they were very kind. It was nice to have some beach gear on hand in the outdoor closet. Parking was right in front of the unit. We saw whales in the morning from the lanai. Loved our stay!

Great location, so so condition. Views are amazing, location is good. Interior is very dated. TV remotes don’t work right. Only way to turn on is unplug TV each time to get on. Also door key is worn out, difficult to remove key from door. With a little updates and maintenance could be a great place.

This place is peaceful and beautiful! The balcony and all bedroom windows look out over the ocean. You can keep the windows open and hear the ocean all night. I spent a lot of soothing time sitting on the balcony, listening to the ocean and the gentle rain, and seeing the rainbows that frequently appeared. So beautiful and healing.

We showed up and the place wasn't cleaned, we arrived late so we had to wash our own sheets before finally getting some sleep. Following day made contact and she thought we came on the following day, no big deal and was suppose to return cleaning fund which she did but the person who dropped money off was suppose to clean. We showed up later that evening with nothing touched. We once again had to wash all the towels, dishes, counters and oven. Overall this place is dirty, beat down and needs a lot of things fixed. Watch your hands on the door, slams very hard, the door closer is broken and looks very old. Can't put more then 3 outfits or 3 towels in washer or it stops and you gotta keep watching it. Overall we weren't too happy, at least the beds are comfy, nice view of ocean from bed and have hot water with little pressure. Next door where my sister stayed building 6 is much much nicer, this place is in building 7. The cliffs is also a lot better choice, other family stayed there for not much more. We won't be back.

Agree with the other reviews that this condo is in a great location and has beautiful views. We really enjoyed the Princeville area and the lush grounds and the condo was peaceful. For the cost we didn't mind that it is "tired" and needs attention but it lacked cleanliness, which you shouldn't have to compromise on, no matter the rate. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean, which is what is most important, but the rest of the condo was dirty. It was incredibly dusty - you could see it on lamp shades and a lot of the decor, and fans (actually had to wipe off the ceiling fan in the main bedroom so we could use it). The lamp shades were dingy and stained and the blanket tossed on the couch (being used as a cover) was dirty. The condo doesn't look quite like the pictures because of the coverings on the furniture; it looks sloppy. The kitchen utensils, cups, etc., are random and inadequate. If this isn't important to someone then I think most people will enjoy this condo. We spent all of our time outside on the nice lanai when we were actually there and were able to ignore the things mentioned.

This has to be one of the nicest spots to stay in Princeville. The view of the ocean is so nice and you can basically see the sunrise from your bedroom. I felt as though it was better in person than the pictures showed.
I was worried about no air conditioning but me and my sister were actually cold some nights with the fans we had in the rooms. The giant mirror in the living room was also a nice plus. Would absolutely stay at this location again if given the opportunity.

This property is right on the cliff with a great ocean view! It is a little older and well used but a great value for a vacation in Kauai.
The condo had all the amenities that are needed and we definitely enjoyed the quiet and expansive ocean views on the lanai. Thank you for a great week!

To preface, I am a VRBO owner myself so I am reviewing how I would want my property reviewed if it was anything but 5 stars.
Pros: By far the location, Google maps makes this easy to find, view of the ocean is fantastic, secluded beach trail nearby, Queen’s Bath next neighborhood over, parking easy and wasn’t overcrowded in July. Landline in room if you need to make calls. Wi-fi works. Unit is on 2nd floor so you get a breeze. Ceiling fans and plug in fans helped offset no AC. Washer and dryer are convenient. Refrigerator and freezer work. Owner is receptive and seems eager to fix any issues.
Cons: No AC, TVs have 2-3 remotes per tv and are confusing. I had to search around for the WiFi login info, TV in middle room didn’t work but owner indicated she would be replacing it. Absent a breeze, unit is going to feel a little warm during the day despite fans - we were lucky and got consistent breeze. Unit is in need of some cosmetic and aesthetic updating. Sofas have blankets covering them. Arrived to find the towels damp and smelling of mildew - Washed them several times but smell remained, they need to be replaced. Toaster needed to be cleaned as well. Plates and silverware felt like a jumbled assortment of hand me downs and it would go a long way buying silverware all belonging to the same set. I couldn’t find a knife set to cut pineapple so used a steak knife I found in the cluster of knives. Interior fans need to have filters cleaned as they are dusty and triggered my allergies. The showers all had hand soap in them - would have loved some body soap.
Summary: overall unit is a little dated and could use a few touch ups and personal touches here and there -new towels, new silverware, a knife set, a universal remote for each tv or at the very least detailed instructions on how to use them, small shampoo/conditioner/body wash kits would all go a long way. Unit has potential to be 5 stars with just a few things I’ve mentioned being fixed. Would still stay again though as price and location were very good and owner was easy to reach.

I love the place it had everything we needed. The view from the windows are breathtaking. Also so close to many beautiful beaches and also super close to the queens bath which was an amazing experience. The beaches to snorkel are so near and so beautiful. I loved it so much! I would definitely come back to this place again!

We absolutely fell in love with Kauai! The views from the bedrooms and balcony were stunning. We will never forget opening our eyes to the ocean views from bed!!!. I loved how quiet and peaceful the North Shore felt. We are an adventurous bunch and found the location excellent to retreat from our days out. The condo had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here. A+

A nice place to stay. It’s a beautiful location, looking directly at the ocean. It was nicely furnished and very comfortable. The only slight negative is that it is second floor with no elevator. That may have been in the listing and I just didn’t see it, We definitely would stay there again.
