This is a great spot on the north facing side of the Ilikai. Amazing sunsets every night and a quick walk to all the spots on Waikiki! Close to the beach and great pool for after beach relaxation! We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at Illikai with Aska and we are guaranteed to be back. The management company does a great job maintaining the condos and makes reservation, check in/out process very easy. One small inconvenience we experienced both stays was dish towels and extra garbage bags were not provided.

We stayed for 14 days to get some rest and relaxation. The kitchen had everything we needed and we were able to cook breakfast and warm up leftovers to save some money. We enjoyed entertainment downstairs each Friday night and 2 fireworks shows next door. You can go downstairs on the marina side and see the fireworks from the hotel property instead of walking over to the Hilton. There’s no gym facilities in the condo but my husband found 24 hour Fitness down the street and was able to walk there daily (15 min walk) to do his workouts and to lift weights. We ended up paying for valet parking at the hotel which cost a fortune ($45/day + tips) but it was actually worth it not having to deal with the hassle to find parking which was a walk from the hotel and limited. We went to Walmart to buy toilet paper and notions and had leftover TP so we left it under the sink for the next person. The room was for a great price and met our needs during our stay.

This place was close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The communication from VRBO was not clear. I thought I was renting from the property owner, but VRBO was not handling this. another property management company was. I had to pay the VRBO fees and additional management fees ontop of the rental fees. The management company did not explain that the property was in a hotel, did not provide any parking or notify us of the $45/day hotel valet parking fee. We were not allowed to use the hotel exercise room. but able to enjoy the other shops and restaurants at the hotel property.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. TV is not smart so no streaming of Netflix etc. Shower needs the grout cleaned up as the dark areas look like mold. Likely I’ll stay again in 2024 so hope the Tv is updated and the shower grout addressed. Pots and pans a little tired and should be replaced. Bed is firm and worked well for us. View is amazing and can watch the sun go down from the lanai. Pool on site is awesome as is the location for Friday fireworks.

I love this location for its Lanai & views of the marina/sea/sunset. The kitchen is well appointed & the bed is comfortable. Pesca restaurant happy hour at the top of Ilikai is a welcome addition to the resort.

View & location was 100%! There was yummy restaurant downstairs w/ live music most nights, an ABC type store, hertz car rental, a library to borrow books from, a surf shop to book lessons, a coffee & ice cream shop & more all on site. I already emailed rental agency, but it would’ve been nice to have some room basics, like spices (there wasn’t even s&p), shampoo/body wash, etc. Also missing was the reason why we choose vrbo over hotels, for things like beach chairs & towels, pool floats, board games, etc. There were also no fans & the outdoor furniture & patio was stained with bird poop & what looked like blood on couch cushions. The box springs for bed were just lying on ground, so that was weird. Bed wasn’t a king, it was 2 twins, if that matters to anybody. There was w/d on every floor, so we washed our clothes easily. The machines take credit card so that was helpful. Also, checkout instructions request to run load of towels in w/d & dishes in dw but they provide no dw or laundry soap. So you’ll have to buy your own (we left some behind, as well as pool floatie, beach chair, sunblock & salt/pepper for next guests). There isn’t a pack n play or air mattress for kids, but there is a futon. Just fyi for those w/ kids. We’ll stay at ilikai again, but prob not this Vrbo. Also, bathroom needs some help. towel rods loose, holes in wall by tiles, vent caked in dust, hairs on ceiling/walls, no fan. The whole point of Vrbo is the home feel, this missed the mark a bit.

Overall, we had a great stay at this property. The resort itself and location are both excellent having all the amenities we'd want and being proximate to shops and restaurants. This particular unit was also great and exactly as advertised and pictured. Since we cooked many meals at home, we particularly appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. Some parts of the unit and furniture showed normal wear expected with time but the unit was still very clean. I would recommend this unit to other travelers and stay here again myself.

Liked my stay. Management of the property were responsive, I did leave water and some jelly in the apartment when I left but made sure they knew it. The rules were to throw all food items away but I just couldn't - my fault. The property management were very nice about it and let the cleaner know.
The property overlooks the hotel court yard so you an enjoy the entertainment without going down the ground floor. (it finishes early so dont worry about being kept awake). You are on the 10th floor so have a nice view of the boats and a prime view of sunset.
Overall I loved staying at the property it was as described and i would love to stay there again.

My only problem was with the bed, it is very comfortable, but the sides are quite dangerous as they stick way out too far and you are always hitting and hurting your legs. Either get new base or cut off the sides.

Lovely view, easy self check in, excellent communication from Makina at the agency.
We had a small issue but it was dealt with quickly.
Remember to take your shampoo, soap etc. This was not an issue for us as we were aware of that requirement.
Excellent icecream shop in the complex. Short walk to Ala Moana shopping complex.

You should know there is no wifi and bring a thin pillow if a thick pillow won’t be comfortable. Watch your shins on the bed-frame—leaving with several bruises.
Enjoy Friday night: Luau and live music from the lanai but go outside for the 7:45 fireworks!!

The lanai was spectacular and allowed for wonderful relaxation. Condo was clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed (although dw latch was finicky). Parks, beaches, shops, and restaurants were all accessible through short walks or even in the building. It's a popular area, so expect crowds and waits.

After 5 years of caregiving, I decided I needed a very long (8 weeks) vacation. I found the condo on VRBO and it is exactly as described. It is wonderfully uncluttered and very easy to keep clean. The sunsets were magnificent and I practically lived outside on the lanai. High powered binoculars are available. The location is perfect. There is a bus stop right outside that will take you anywhere in Waikiki. ABC store sells bus passes and it's right across the street from the Ilikai. For longer stays, seniors can get a $6 monthly pass at the Ala Moana shopping center a 10 minute walk from the condo. There is also a Target at the shopping center if you need beach items. I left a beach chair (one more would be ideal), two beach towels, a yoga mat and roller for tight muscles. There is also a grocery store at Eaton Square, a short walk from the condo. Prices are high but then I live in NYC. There is a car rental across the street at the Discovery Center. You can leave it there overnight for free or leave it at the Ilikai for $30+ a night. Uber is also readily available. Rates vary according to the time of day. Cinnamon's at the Ilikai is the perfect place to have a drink and a bite to eat. The music is good and on weekends they have traditional Hawaiian music. Please note that the music is loud. Fortunately, this condo is on a higher floor and it stops at 9:00 pm. There is a fabulous place in the Ilikai lobby to get a haircut for $35 and next door is a place to get a wonderful massage! I highly recommend the condo for a solo traveler, a couple or a couple with one child. The lanai make the space look much larger and more open. This is the perfect home base in which to explore the many wonderful things Oahu has to offer. The beach is a ten minute walk if you choose to go to the next beach over. Remember beach shoes. There are rocks. Hopefully I will be back in 2023 or 2024, the latest!
P.S. The Bishop Museum is a must see to learn more about the Hawaiian culture. Also the Doris Duke's Shangri La but tickets are extremely difficult to get. The prettiest outdoor bar in Waikiki is the Mai Tai Beach Bar at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. The Sunday brunch at the Halekulani is fabulous and extravagant ($85) and the House Without a Key offers drinks on their terrace with a great sunset view and a Hawaiian performance by the former Miss Hawaii/Miss Universe.

The condo was very clean and it was easy to get up and down the elevator. We were able to walk to a lot of places even though we did rent a car. Our condo itself had a problem where it looks like there has been water damage to the first half of wood floor as the floor was so warped it was a trip hazard. Additionally we arrived to find the dishwasher out of service for the complete week we were here.
Just so people know, you are not on the beach. You are close and can walk to it but it is not out your front door.
Having said all of that, for the price, this was not a bad deal. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could want for cooking. The unit was well stocked with linens and towels. It was easy to grab a bite at the on-site dining facility and the sunset view was beautiful. If the previously mentioned issues would not be a problem for you, then this condo would be perfect for you.

Greetings! This condo is great. The perfect location between Waikiki and Ala Moana, and close to the free to go to Northshore, the East or West side of the island. The unit has a stunning view of the Ala Wai small boat harbor and the ocean overlooking Ala Moana beach. The unit is great with a nice large bed, big bathroom and kitchen area. It was clean and fully stocked with kitchen items, towels and blankets. The managers leave instructions regarding amenities. I didn’t need to call them. Overalls, 5/5

The place is amazing. Right on the water with a beautiful view! We watched sunsets almost every night. The pictures show this room perfectly. It was comfortable and up to date. The place was exactly like the photos. If you plan to cook all utensils & appliances are there. If you like to have coffee in the morning buy coffee filter & coffee. It’s centrally located very close to Alamoana shopping mall and Waikiki.

I chose this property when booking our trip to tour colleges with my daughter! It was perfect! We were right by the beach and in between Hawaii Pacific and University of Hawaii- Manoa!
Everything was very clean, with a full kitchen, towels, extra bedding, if needed, and we could use the pool as well!
I would definitely book this room again!

This studio was very clean and well-equipped with all the necessary basics for your stay. We enjoyed the location as it was tucked away from the main action of Waikiki Beach, but still within walking distance. Parking is convenient on the marina. The morning view on the lanai was beautiful. The Ilikai itself is a little outdated, but the property is generally very well maintained. If you are looking for the Ritz, then go to the Ritz - but if you are looking for a solid and affordable home base for your stay on Oahu, this is a great option. Bonus tip - if you rent a car from Matt on Turo for part of your stay (highly recommend), pickup & drop-off is right next to the hotel on the marina.

Overall we had a lovely stay in the condo. Check in and out was super easy with the key pad. The room is stocked with kitchenwear, full size refrigerator, oven, microwave, coffeemaker, etc. The hotel was nice and clean. The hotel is on the harbor side so no beach access, it is walkable but kinda far if you are carrying a beach bag. We really enjoyed our room, the bed was comfortable and the balcony is lovely. There is a small cafe with great breakfast options. We were never able to get into the restaurant because the wait was always so long but right down the street we found a local spot that we loved for breakfast! The hotel convenient store was also nice for small things and a good ice cream shop. Thanks for a great stay!

Dusty and not well stocked.
Bed is NOT a King…it’s two twins together, VERY HARD and uncomfortable.
Linens were dirty and are clearly not laundered between stays.
Battery in smoke detector died and woke us up beeping at 2am.
I’d recommend staying elsewhere if possible.

This condo has a beautiful view of the marina, is very well equipped and big enough for two people without feeling crowded at all. The lanai overlooks the property common area and we enjoyed live music on a Sunday night (over by 9:00 pm) and morning coffee just people-watching. Great building, lots of restaurants nearby, a grocery store across the street, and a very short walk to gorgeous beaches and the Hilton lagoon. We found street parking each day, so didn't have to have to pay the $25 daily parking across the street. We would definitely stay here again!
