We loved it here! It was a great size, and excellent location. We were surprised by the amount of extras in the condo. Every piece of cooking and general kitchen equipment that you could possibly ask for! All the things to make our stay effortless.

We could not have been happier with this unit and the resort. It was quiet and peaceful and had amazing amenities (pool, putting green, shuffleboard) along with easy beach access. We will stay here moving forward when returning to Maui.

Lovely appointed condo and grounds, excellent location in the condo community, and snorkeling right in front of the condo's beachfront. Miranda is very responsive to any questions you might have. The most awesome cinnamon rolls are sold directly in back of the property. Beautiful sunsets. Would love to stay there again.

This place was amazing to stay at. Had everything you needed, close walking distance to the beaches/restaurants in the area, pool was great, and the entire resort was beautiful. Would definitely stay there again, and recommend to others!

Rental property is very good for price. Interior is a little dated and they must not be properly replacing bug traps because there was more bugs then there should be but overall property was nice.

This is a great condo, more well stocked than most (beach equipment, books, games, cleaning supplies, cooking supplies). My only issue is with the sofa sleeper bed. The1st night, could not get it to open up, so slept on the sofa; 2nd night tried again with no luck and slept on sleeper mattress on the floor. Notified the rental agent, who arranged to have it fixed the next day. The sofa apparently is new, but the mattress needs to be replaced with something sturdier/thicker for an adult sleeping on it to be comfortable on it. Otherwise, a great stay!

Wife and I stayed here for Christmas. It was beautiful. Especially loved the beach toys and supplies they had available in the room. Only reason for 4 stars is it is not really beachfront property. That would have made it perfect.

This rental and location will not disappoint. Close to everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The unit is comfortable and has lots of extras to enjoy the beach (chairs, towels, cooler, boogie boards). I appreciated the binder of information to find various beaches and parks. There is no “beach” directly in front of the unit but you are on the ocean and can hear the surf from unit. The beaches are very close by. The staff at Papakea are extremely friendly and take excellent care of the facility and grounds. The property manager , Miranda, was responsive and accommodating. I will definitely look to book this unit next year for my escape to paradise.

WOW! What an amazing find......its no wonder the condo is already booked for my trip next year!!! Originally, I had booked a unit in another complex and was emailed that the owners decided to use it and I had no place to stay. After staying in this unit Feb 21- March 1, 2019......I am surprised this unit was even available. This unit had everything you could need during your stay. Every kitchen item you can imagine, beach gear, steps away from 6 BBQ's at the pool and a few more steps to the beach. In my opinion, its the perfect proximity to both. You have a nice view of the ocean, but you dont have people standing in front of your place for that view! Easy check-in and check-out. The staff at Papakea is super friendly and helpful. Also, the resort fee was a mere $17/day. Honestly, you can go wrong staying at Papakea and this unit is fabulous.
My ONE suggestion for this unit - the mattress should be changes annually as it was pretty worn out.

Stayed here in May 2018 - the condo is well-stocked with everything you could possibly need, but unfortunately that is the best thing I can say. We found bugs in the kitchen and informed the property manager, but nothing was ever done about it. We received no follow-up and it was never communicated to us if anyone had even stopped by the condo to checked into the situation. It was never resolved and there were bugs on the counters, in the cabinets, etc. We understand that with this the type of environment sometimes there are bugs, but I don't want to share my food prep space, cabinets, etc. with an infestation. The resort is nice, good pool, but no restaurant or bar on the property. You can easily walk to other resorts, but nothing on site.

We visited Papakea from Dec.20 - Jan. 3. The Unit was clean & looked just like the pictures on the internet, it was also fully stocked with lots of extra kitchen supplies and had 3 beach chairs and 2 boogie boards for us to use. The outside grounds were nicely kept and lots of games for kids & adults to do. We BBQ each night for supper & never had to wait on a bbq and they were always kept clean. The kids enjoyed the pools (there are two on the property) although it would be nice if both pools were heated. If you enjoy sitting out on your lanai visiting with friends and family after 10 PM then expect the security guard to come around claiming that he received a complaint about the noise. Apparently you can sit out there past 10 PM but regular talking is too much noise for some people, this is our only complaint about the property otherwise it was great. We asked Miranda for a late check out as our plane didn't leave until evening & she accommodated us which we were so grateful for. We would definitely recommend Papakea and we hope to return next year.

Newly upated in all rooms! Granite kitchen counters and new appliances made it a great place to prepare our meals when we did nit go out! Colors and art work gave this condo a warm feeling through out.
I look forward to our next getaway! Will definitely stay here again!
