We had a great stay. The unit is in an ideal location- just a few minutes from the beach and super close to shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed the beautiful pool area and sitting out on the lanai off the bed/living room area. Inside was super quiet for how loud the city is, a/c worked great and the host was super prompt at answering questions and getting someone to come over and fix the slider to the lanai that had been really hard to open and close. Would definitely stay there again!
If you are looking for a place to stay in Waikiki, look no further. This efficiency condo has it all. All the comforts of a nice hotel room, with the added benefit of a full kitchen. The beach is a short 2 block walk away and the owner supplies all you need for a day at the beach—chairs, beach towels, umbrella, boogie board, floating toys. It is very quiet at night—unusual for a stay in a big city.
There are convenience stores on every corner and a full grocery with ready made meals a few blocks from the condo. We had a rental car and couldn’t get into the parking garage of the building. We did park 3 blocks away, and while this might sound inconvenient, it really wasn’t. It was a refreshing and easy walk whenever we chose to use the car.
Perfect for a couple. Loved the pool area like an oasis in the middle of the chaos of Waikiki Beach.
One of lanai doors very hard to close but otherwise had everything you needed!
We had a great stay here. This room met all of our needs. There were beach items in the room for the beach (chairs, boogie boards, etc). We literally only slept here. We spent all our time outside. Which why wouldn’t you when you’re in Waikiki? The only downside was the parking garage was being renovated so parking was a little difficult to find but we made it work. Room was clean and neat.
Sunny open perfect place!
Great corner unit with two usable balconies.
Two blocks to Waikiki Beach
Has everything you need, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels, boogie boards, and all housewares.
Plenty of storage to unpack all your things.
Comfy Bed, a little more on the firm side but comfy.
As you can see there’s really nothing bad to say about the studio. It’s the property that has some issues. So if you want a little home away from home that you have to use a dirty elevator to get to, rent this cute place in the heart of Waikiki.
Very nice place to stay. Great decor in a great location. I enjoyed my stay and highly recommend.
This condotel is part individually rented units and part hotel rooms. The hotel itself is dated and could use some maintenance work. The unit we were in was excellent. The owner must really take pride in this as all amenities were available. It was very clean and comfortable.
We stayed here for two weeks and had such a great experience. The property is exactly as listed. The pool area is fantastic. At night it can be a bit loud with city noise but overall no complaints. The laundry is on the same floor, which is super convenient and there an ice & filtered water machine down by the pool. It was so close to the beach & anything else you could possibly need was a short walk away. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed for a week at this property and were extremely pleased with our accommodations. Check in and out was easy. We found the condo to be very clean, spacious, and having everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked with a few things to get us started which was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed having breakfast and coffee on one of the balconies in the morning and then wine later on in the evening (just an aside, but they need larger wine glasses as they were tiny). We were furnished with towels and beach chairs which were added bonuses for our beach days. We used the property pool a couple times in the evening and it was nice and looked very pretty lit up.
The location of the property was great. We were in walking distance of restaurants and stores and only a few minutes walk from the beach. The bus stop was very close as well and we used the transit system on several occasions.
Mark was a very communicative host and always answered our questions in a timely manner. Very good host!!
Overall a great stay! Thank you Mark.
Had a great 2 weeks here. Property as advertised. Nice pool at the hotel! Close to bus which takes you all over Oahu. Quite a noisy location.
What a great place! The beach was right around the corner. The bus stop was across the street. The room was spacious and the view was gorgeous! Great communication with Mark as well. Top shelf stay. I fully recommend.
What we loved the most about this suite was the short two block walk to the beach. We used the bus service to Pearl Harbor and other sites and having the bus stop right in front of the hotel was very convenient. The building is old, but the suite is well appointed. Mark was very responsive to all of my questions and the check in process could not have been any easier. The linens were clean and fresh and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately the floor needed a good wash as did the dishes. I soaked and washed what we needed before using any of it and my husband cleaned the worst of the floors. We enjoyed our stay and will stay here again in the future. We thought that it was a great deal for the area.
I came to visit my son who lives here now for 2.5 weeks and this was the perfect base. It looks exactly like the photos! Had a lovely lanai with a small ocean view and no one directly across from me. So nice to have a full kitchen! Could use some tall drinking glasses not just juice size, but that was ok. The bed was SUPER DUPER comfy--a huge plus in my book. The shower was hot and good pressure. Plus, this room is quiet! A major feat in a city. I stayed in a condo on Kalakaua before and it was LOUD. This was so nice and quiet. Huge bonus. I didnt use the pool area but it's so lovely at night with the lights and tropical trees. Everything you'd need was in this place! Loved that the laundry was right on my floor too. Only hiccup was that I wasn't notified that the AC tech was coming in on a certain day, so I returned home and it was obvious someone had been in the place with leaving sunglasses behind, cancelling my room card access (which the front desk promptly fixed), having used my bathroom (my seat and water in the tub!), and leaving the lanai unlocked. It was very unsettling as a single woman staying here! But property mgt was quickly responsive. I got someone on the phone right away (not expecting that) and they apologized for not notifying me and for the tech's behavior. I highly recommend this condo and the property mgt. company to work with. I look forward to returning and staying here again, or in any property Mark Howard operates.
Area was a little cramped. Futon sofa was small. Otherwise, great place to stay.
Having loved overseas in Europe for years, we've experienced multiple stays across different cultures. I can tell you with confidence that this was our best stay in 12 years of travel. We're vegan, so we needed to cook many of our meals. Mark had everything taken care of with proper cookware and utensils. We made coffee and ate meals from food we got at the local farmers market. The bed was comfy, there were plenty of towels, the shower has perfect water pressure, the ac unit pumps out cold air making sleep amazing. There was even a small portable ice chest we used for our beach excursions! The deck was amazing and at sunset the sun comes in as a warming reminder that you're in paradise. It's so centrally located with the beach only a 3 minute stroll away too--it's wonderful. The price is right and it has everything you needed to make your stay memorable. Looking forward to coming back next year!
The property was very nice and well equipped It was very quiet very good location. I would definitely stay again
The unit was just perfect for two people. It had everything we needed to eat some meals in and not spend so much at restaurants. The beach was an easy short walk and was very nice! Several nights we ventured out to see the sights and enjoy the shops and restaurants. There were many many places to enjoy all within walking distance.
The Bamboo Hotel has an old 1950s Hawaiian vibe throughout. It’s location is exactly where we like to be in Waikiki. Two easily walkable blocks from the Duke Statue on the beach. Lots of food and shopping around.
The condo is well stocked with extra towels and sheets. The AC and blackout curtains guarantee solid rest. The Tiki bar and swimming pool downstairs are perfect.
The only problem we found were greasy glasses, mugs and dishes. I think they had only be quickly wiped with dry paper towels. We could clearly see lip marks on several glasses. I washed the ones we decided to use with hot soapy water on the first day.
Fantastic location just 2 blocks from the beach a with a lot of dining and shopping close by.
Lovely pool with a nice little restaurant on site with super friendly people.
Loved the 2 lanai, perfect for breakfast time.
You can really tell that the owner takes care of the place.
Clean, well maintained, new AC, very close to the beach, bus stop, shops, and restaurants. You can see the ocean from the balcony. Has a lot of extras: beach towels, umbrellas, chairs, goggles, inflator, etc.
My kids and I stayed for a week, it was great!! The condo was right in the middle of everything.... beach, restaurants, and shopping. Would definitely stay again!!!
It was clean when we arrived and in a good location just a short walk to the beach. The only issue was that the hotel itself wasn’t fantastic - both of the elevators were broken and they weren’t super accommodating with us because we had booked through VRBO and not directly with them.
