My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Bruce and LeAyn’s Hale. The Kai Nani property is beautiful and located on a walking path right above the beach. Sunrises were beautiful and we love watching the chickens and cats running around.
The condo itself is very homey and comfortable. Lots of space and probably the largest lanai I’ve had at any vacation rental. There were a few nit picky cleanliness things that the cleaners could improve on, but not anything that would detract from me booking the same spot again.
It’s not located in the most walkable area in terms of getting to shops and restaurants, but the beach is right there and it was a quick drive from the airport to the property - a nice thing if you arrive in the evening/night! For how close it is to the airport, we expected more noise and were pleasantly surprised with how quiet it was.

We loved staying at this property. The easy access to beaches, main roads, restaurants, and the airport makes this a perfect location.
The grounds are very neat and clean, the local cats and of course the Kauai chickens are fun to watch and as a bonus you don’t need an alarm.
The condo was exactly as described, very clean, well maintained and very well appropriated with everything you need plus beach gear. The bed is comfortable, there’s a great breeze all night long and you are far enough off the road that you don’t hear any traffic at night.

Condo was lovely- clean, great location with a very nice balcony with ocean view. Whole complex felt very safe. Bruce was wonderful, very responsive and nice to deal with. He immediately addressed an unforeseen issue that arose early on and made it right. Apartment had everything we needed, a fully equipped kitchen and even some essential cooking ingredients. Owners also had beach chairs, some snorkeling gear, a couple of tennis rackets, golf clubs, books and games on hand. Condo is literally a three-minute drive to a very safe beach, especially for little ones, and is conveniently located and in fairly close proximity to grocery stores and shops. There is a quiet laundry facility in a building next door to this unit, and a friendly security guard also stationed close by. Condo does not have air conditioning, but there were several large and powerful fans that kept us comfortable. The complex does have some loud roosters making noise early in the mornings 😁, but this issue seemed not to be unique to this complex. Chickens and roosters seemed to be everywhere we went on the island and part of its charm. Overall we thought the experience was lovely. Would come back here without hesitation!

We absolutely loved our stay at Bruce’s place! Location was great and felt very private and close to the beach. The condo was set up with everything you needed! We especially appreciated having beach towels and chairs already there. The lanai was perfect to enjoy the amazing views. I would recommended this place to anybody and would stay there again myself!

This condo is in a great location for visiting both the north & south beaches & the grounds are lovely and well kept. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen, beach chairs, umbrella, and soft-sides cooler. We liked that there are two bathrooms and the lanai is perfect for hanging out in the morning or evening. Thanks for a great experience!

We had a wonderful stay on Kauai! The accommodation is lovely with so many positive points. It has a stunning view from the lanai of the water and the beautiful pool. We enjoyed relaxing in the shade of the lanai as the cool winds blew through on a hot day. We rented bikes during our stay and Ubered to get around. Being so close to Kapaa was a bonus. The pictures clearly depict the property and the owners were always quick to respond to our few questions. Thanks again for a lovely stay and we hope to return!

The setting and environment were great - ocean views, a pool, short walk to Lydgate's newbie-friendly snorkeling lagoon, and easy access to both Kapaa and Lihue, as well as points further in each direction. Very nice place to enjoy the whole island from.
Bruce, our host contact, was fabulously responsive. When I asked a question about a minor issue, he promptly took steps to solve it AND be sure it met our needs - really great to work with. I've had lots of VRBO experiences, and the host can make or break it. This was all good - thanks, Bruce and LeAyn!

Clean and bright with all the amenities required for cooking and beaching. We loved lounging in the comfortable chairs with ottomans on the lanai for coffee and the sunrise and wine and sunset. Handy to the Wailua municipal golf course which we played at sunrise and twilight rates which were very reasonable although busy. Great location for touring north and south on the island. Highly recommend although the traffic in Kappa is crazy slow with the road construction.

Bruce was a great host! Super responsive and the place was perfect for my husband and I! We loved the beautiful porch overlooking the pool and view of the beach! We grilled out at the pool two nights, and the grounds were stunning, very clean and beautiful flora and fauna! Hope to stay here again on our next visit for sure!

This comfortable property is perfectly placed to visit both sides of the island, and close to attractions like atv, zipline, and tubing. Easy walk to a great swimming beach and next door to an excellent muni course: Wailua GC. Clean, well stocked with amenities & beach stuff, would readily recommend.

The condo was a great place to stay. It is well kept and very
close to the ocean. Lydgate beach is a safe place to swim for
children and adults and after the ocean surge was like swimming in an aquarium. The lockbox for the key to get in was problematic for me. Bicycles I was told about were non functional. Nevertheless, my grandson enjoyed our stay and were very sad to leave. It's a great spot as the swimming beach is only a 5 minute drive.

We had a great stay at Kaha Lani. The resort is perfectly situated in Lihue….centrally located near the airport and lots of nearby attractions. The condo was clean, well appointed, and spacious. The location overlooking the pool and ocean was wonderful and made for many enjoyable moments soaking up the beauty from the lanai. Bruce was a very responsive host and happily accommodated a schedule change we requested. This was truly a memorable vacation spent in a lovely place. We look forward to visiting again!

This is the perfect location to access the entire island of Kauai, especially if you only have a few days! It is centrally located, yet far enough off the road that you can still feel the tranquility that Kauai offers! Very easy check in, communication was great, the condo is absolutely lovely! I love with location because you stay out of the Kapaa traffic. It's close to Lydgate Park for some fun snorkeling and the bike path runs right through it. The unit has a great orientation overlooking the pool, with the ocean beyond. The lanai faces east so you can watch the sunrise, while in the evening watch the light change over the ocean. I really appreciated the fact that the only other people walking by our front door were the people in the upstairs unit. It felt very safe there, especially with the super friendly and efficient night watchman.
The owners/hosts have included every amenity possible: salt and pepper, oil, herbs, utensils, barbeque items, thermal beach bag, snorkeling gear, golf clubs, beach towels, sand chairs...and more.
The bed is a comfortable king size. I loved the light aqua color of the walls. So calming. The furniture is good quality and very comfortable.
We had a little trouble figuring out the TV but the owner was very responsive in helping us get it solved. It worked great then. The internet was really slow but the complex manager said that is being worked on this week.
We would stay there every time we are on the islands, if available. We loved it!
